    I've played on plenty of poker sites and have never even come close to one that i've had soo many bad beats. I know I just sound like a moaning whinge bag but it's bordering on the ridiculous. I'm not just speaking for myself you see them more often than you see a hand stand up. AA 4-1 favourite. Not on here. It's fantasy poker all for the tv.

    id been watching this guy play at my table making hero calls lol, when he min raised my lead out i put him on mid pair or a weak 8 so i insta shove knowing he is very capable of calling it lol

    It's a source of never-ending amazement to me that folks don't understand how poker & luck intermix. Or what they think the motive is for interfering with how poker works. It's a beautiful game, & the way luck, & 52 cards, collude to prodice unexpected outcomes is the very beauty of the game to some. To others, they need to blame someone, when there is actually nobody to blame. If nothing else, poker shows us who can, & can't, take beats, or adversity. In poker, as in life.

    OF COURSE U NEED LUCK IN A GAME TIKAY BUT U R MISSING THE POINT POKER IS A skill game aswell but players on here play it on luck only and thats not right hence always going behind and winning unless the certain player is using an online cheat which would not surprise me and if u want to play a game of luck then go and play sky bingo

    Irish- I would love to take on a job at sky so I cld see for myself all that goes on behind closed doors!! ;) but unfortunately all my commitments currently lie working for donal macintyre.

    But then again, the chance to work side by side with the amiable folk (most namely Mr Oscar) that frequent the sky office helpline, well that could be too much temptation, all depends on the offer on the table?maybe no sky joke beats for lets say 1 game??

    At APAT tourney I played A 10 twice in a row, lost to A2 on a flop of 22A would you believe then lost to A3 on a 337 flop.

    Felted I look down at A9 and shove, was called by AJ and unbeknown to me a guy with 99 folds

    So I have a 1 outer to stay in the Live and prestigious APAT team event.....flop

    9 x x x x

    I went on to final table and finished 7th

    And all this in a live game of poker at G Casino, variance is a wonderful thing!

    i dont call it bad a beat, i call it bad play. how can anyone blame a site due to bad poker techniques. learn the game. 
    pocket rockets is NOT invincible online or live
    i remember a mega loss at a casino in luton... i had AA on the button, someone has gone all in...instant call from myself. we open up our cards, matey had KK, and he hits quads. 
    thats the beauty of poker you never kno whats gonna happen.
    i personally think that this site is very fair try your luck with the other sites.

    i do believe this site plays different to others,and i have adjusted my tourne play accordingly,i wont tell u how i play,(not that daft)but 1 of the biggest problems is players in the hand that should of folded preflop or flop,but just put chips in hoping for miracle cards,and sometimes they hit. ive had bad beats galore,and ive got lucky good few times.i started on here back end november,and after seeing how the tables played,soon started turning a nice profit.luv this site,keep the money comin.

    agree with all of ya, love this site(only one ive played on)but the the bad beats are as unreal as any poker player but too many of!! should of got the message the first week i joined. let me explain, holdin ak clubs, raise on button,three callers,flop, 6 7 8 h,raise, re-raised,call,call(not for me,fold) turn,7c, bet, raise,re-raise,call,call.river,9h.   lets get this right,,,,, 6 7 8 9h and a 7c o.k!!    bet,all in,call,call winner holds aq of spades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not in any poker game on the face of the earth!!!!!!!!!! still tryin to find the hand to prove it!!! be back soon!

    Sky poker has dealt well over than 400 million hands, more than sufficient to publish a very comprehensive statistical analysis of the ACTUAL hand results. That would be an enormous improvement on the current situation where some backstreet operation in the Channel Islands regulates the site and the RNG is supposedly validated but the results are not published.

    i have played on here since march 2011.  i have had alot of bad beats and wins.. i have plays other sites the same time...  i have learnt to accpet that people play badly and expect the bad beats now..  

    the latest sample i have seen of bad play seems to be any 2 suited cards to any raise of which they will hit alot of the time..   but there are alot of people who play on sky who have no idea of what a hand is. i have even had peopl call 9/10 of their stack with K2 os..  (yes flop 2K2) but you live with it. learn from it. know they will lose eventually..   i did used to post my bad beats by bad callers. but not as much now..  i only occasionally post and pass comment..  even sporny has a thread for him and i to post and compare our bad beats. this is for fun and to  have a laugh..

    but honestly. everyone is not a professional player and we all know that any hand can be beaten.. 

    if you can take the hit by a bad call and just smile. make your notes of that player. you know in the future when you play them again YOU WILL WIN.

    i played for the last 2 days, have only hit 1 lot of overcards to someones pair.  had many pairs beaten from over cards and smaller pairs...

    i now understand this can happen..  because i have won when i have been dominated and lost when dominated..

    if you pay your money, you can play as you see fit.. you can play badly and win. you can play badly and lose. visa versa. good bad. it makes no difference.. 

    the one thing i have learn is to watch the players and see how they play..  if the player is going to chase the street no matter what raise you put in(to create the bad beat) then why raise .. you already know they are going to chase. even if you go all in.

    some will say to get value for your hand. but the one lesson i learnt on here. value for your hand mean nothing if they get lucky. you are throwing your chips down the drain when they hit..

    i have seen bad players on here and good players on here..

    lucky players and unlucky players..

    the luck will come and go for players.. even the best players in the world go through ups and downs..


    now i do not expect to win everygame i play(i wish i cud win them all).. and i know people will play badly at times(including me) and get lucky. i expect to lose every now and then. yes it does hurt when you know you have them drawing to that 1 card and you have them, but they will win sometimes..

    you just want that time to not be against you. therfore no bad beat..  they must win sometimes with bad play..  but if they persist on playing badly the odds will catch up with them and you will be a winner in the end.. maybe not at first.

    if you want to compete with myself and sporny for bad beats please have some fun on the post and lets see who can get the most bad beats

    This is all well and good , but i am gettin very very concerned at the number of bad beats i keep seein whether im in the hand or not , cos imo the maths just DO NOT add up.

    Back to the original post:

    (a) because playing online games of chance is highly addictive, and you may just be one of
          those individuals who are unwilling/unable to call it a day?

    (b) because although you suspect something may be amiss, the probability is it isn't, and you
         continue to play in the expectation that your luck will change (read variance will start to even out).

    (c)  You're convinced the whole thing is rigged but hey, it's the only game in town (although of
          course it isn't)?

    (d)  You prefer not to play on sites where the players are called Ivan.


    (e)  A combination of all of the above.
