Hi You can ONLY get in by qualifying online. Most casinos allow jeans and t-shirts, but no sports shirts ie football/rugby shirts, trainers as long as clean, not tatty. To be totally safe a pair of trousers and a shirt will get you in every casino. If in doubt ring the casino. col
So for the spt event i turn up in shorts n a t shirt they turn me away? I never understand that after watching poker on tv, ment to be a social comfortable occasion, nt a funeral or a job interview. Clean, neat n tidy of course, trousers shirt n shoes? cmon!

Hi Its not that long ago that you could only get in a casino in ONLY dress trousers and a shirt with a collar. Most of the attendees at the SPT range from wearing suits, jeans n tshirts, or trousers and collared shirts. As long as what your wearing is not dirty or tatty, i havent seen anyone turned away, but why take the chance, especially if youve travel a fair distance to be there. col
hi, im pretty new to sky poker and was wondering, if i turn up at g casino in luton can i register and play or do i have to win a seat online? Thanks, Matt Posted by Matt2712
Hi Matt, To play the SPT event at Luton, you have to qualify online, but that will not stop you playing any PTPs or any event the casino has running on the night. hope this helps.

Just to reiterate, of all the venues that the SPT will be going to in 2010, Luton is the strictest. I quote from a recent GUKPT communication
"All players are also advised that the G Casino in Luton has a very strict dress code - trainers, ripped or torn jeans, hoodies and sportswear are not permitted".
Please don't risk it, people turning up in trainers are sent to the nearby Matalan to buy shoes, and people are regularly refused entry.

HI Dutch To answer your questions. Yes they are open to any Sky Poker player and you can only enter through the online qualifiers, apart from 5 seats that are allocated to the venue of each leg, so they can run a comp live. For those game you have to contact the casinos directly. If you want to qualify, then go to the lobby and look for the SPT tournies, where a semi final cost £24 or you can satellite for as little as £2.60. The leg up for qualification at the moment is Newcastle on the 9th Jan. The next leg is at Luton in March and those qualifiers will start after the next leg finishes. Hope this helps col
I have qualified for the Newcastle event in January, I havent been to a casino in my life and dont really know what to expect. How many players will be at each table and what will be the blind structure. As to smart casual dress code does a pair of dress jeans and a short sleeve shirt pass as ok or should it be trousers and dress shirt?

Hi Bigred, There are 10 players per table, with 5000 chips and a 30min clock. most casinos allow jeans and t shirts, but if your unsure contact Aspers Newcastle to see what the local rule is for them, i would also go to their site to pre register, this will save you a bit of time on the day. Plus on the day dont forget your id, a driving licence, or passport. The tournament registration start at 12 noon and the tournament starts at 2pm. The blinds structure was published in one of the Manchester thread, but it is usually in the email you will receive in the week before the tournament. Hope this helps.

hi can you tell me when will i be able to try and qualify online for skypoker tour in luton, and do you have to qualify online?? shauny Posted by SHAUNY
From the middle of January, after the Newcastle event, satellites for Luton will start
ITS MOST PROBALLY BEEN POSTED BUT CAN YOU BUY INTO THE GRAND FINAL AND IF SO HOW MUCH IT MIGHT WORK OUT CHEAPER THAN SATS FOR THE TOURS LOL Posted by sandman290
It hasn't been announced yet. likely to be lots of satellites first
Haven't played for ages, but watch channel 865 regularly. Love the show. Could you have more shows where Ed Giddens co-presents with the new females on the show. His barely disguised displeasure at some of the girly comments is quite amusing. It would help him with his poker face for live tourneys.
Can I change my poker name? Want to play as CODZILLA instead of NEMESIS. Originally shared this ID with my husband but I've got a completely different (& better) game than him and don't want to be tarnished with his brush.

Im sure Sarah said she was booked for this one.

If Jason is there... I will have to try qualify!
I beleive we have Sarah Champion and DP coming to Newcastle. Subject to changes of course, but that is the plan at this stage
