Hi Guys, don't get me wrong i love SKY but i want to have a little moan!
Played in the semi last night (4 nights in a row, i am trying!!) and we got down to the last 7. 5 seats and £44 for 6th.
    No hand for hand play.
I played on the short handed table, (3 vs 4) for over 20 mins with reaonably high blinds. My moan is that this isn't a level playing field and thats the one thing you expect. I have played on many other sites and hand for hand play exists. I'm sure SPT can confirm there will be hand for hand play at the live events? The SKY technical/development team need to sort this out. There is no doubt in my mind that this cost me a place in Manc as there were 2 very short stacks on the 4 handed table and for them the additional blinds would likely have been terminal. I finished 6th and it sounds like sour grapes, but i really want SKY to be better, as this is my favourite place to play!!
I will keep on trying to win a seat.

    Hi Ski,

I will send your Comments to the Cardroom Suits, & I'm sure they'll comment as they see fit.

Get that Seat won next time!

    Hi Skicowboys,

Thank you for your suggestion in allwoing "hand for hand" play when approaching the bubble in online MTT's which is a good idea. It is already in our plans for future development, although I couldn't give you an accurate potential release date.

I'm sorry to hear about you just missing out on the SPT Seat last night but wish you the best of luck in any future attempts to win your seat to Manchester

    Regards

    Adam

    Yes, I can confirm that!

Details await exact numbers & how many places paid, but it's probable that it will be H-4-H on the Money Bubble, & the Final Table Bubble.

What's the blind structure for the MANC leg? I've already read somewhere or other its 30 min blinds, and I know that the starting stack is 5k, but what are the levels?
    25-50, 50-100, 100-200, 200-400etc, or something a little les steep?

    Thank youns.

5,000 and 30 minutes is correct

Levels need to be finalised, and I will advise as and when I can confirm

    Les Steep? Who's he?

I did, of course, mean less.

Only a guess, but I would think that the moment Leg One has taken place, the Super Sats for Leg Two will begin. They may even begin once all the Seats for Leg One have gone.

Either way, the date will be well-publicised on the Forum & Show.

Is there any chance the winnings could be given out at the casino instead of waiting for it to deposited on sky...... after all the buyins have already been outlayed and who heard of a tournament at a casino where they dont pay when the tourney has ended   ????

No chance at all, I'm afraid, Lee.

Regular Tournament Cashes are normally paid out in Cash, but it's quite rare for the entries to be paid for in advance, Online.

There are unbelievably complex legal reasons, prompted by the Gaming Commission, which make it very difficult for the Cash to be paid at the Venue.

The Virgin Tour, a few years ago, faced the same problems, & overcame it the same way. All Sky Poker Tour Events since we began - & we have had 7 or 8 Live Events now - were paid in this manner.

All winnings will be paid into the Players Account by Close of Business on the Monday.

    SEATS GOING SLOWLY.
Hi Tikay, SPT etc. I've been surprised at how little interest there has been in the SPT quallies.
It is almost impossible to make it via the £2.60 sat, as there are rarely 10 in the tournies.
The £5.20 ones are on at 5.30, 6.30 and 7.30pm as well as other times (although again, i'm not sure there have been any, any earlier due to lack of demand).
I'm trying to sat in via the £5.20 games, as if you don't make it the first couple of times (in the semis at £24 a time), this does start to get expensive.
It is nice to see a guaranteed £12.5k prize pool, but in the current economic climate it looks like people are feeling the pinch. I know this is a balancing act, i guess we'll find out in the next 2 weeks if demand picks up, i hope so as playing live is great.
I've been in 5 semi's so far, still no luck, but i'm still trying!!

    Hi Ski,

The Seats are going quite nicely actually - 4 or 5 per day so far, which is just about bang on target to reach capacity in the next 10 or 14 days, with the Event still 3 weeks away.

Sometimes though, to get these Super Sats going, a little bit of huff & puff is needed.

On Sunday, a bunch of lads were struggling to get a super Sat going for the Sunday Night £2,000 Deepstack, so they started a little thread, & within 10 minutes, they'd filled one. Might be worth giving that a try - the thread (as an example) is here.....

Hope to see you in Manchester.

    Hi Tony,
On the back of Skicowboys post, what will happen if the 125 online seats are not filled?
I hope this is not the case, but if the current trend continues, with only 2 weeks to go, we might be short of full.

Simple - we sack Rich-SPT. Or Rich Orford. One of them would be to blame, for sure.

Seriously, I don't know Col, but I imagine Sky Poker would rasise the awareness level, & that would do the trick.

It's still 3 weeks away, (bar 2 days), & I think they are comfortable with the rate the Seats are going. Last year, the Super Sats were opened at least 6 weeks in advance, but Leg One opened a little late, so the timelines are a bit tight. For the other Legs, more notice, & longer timescales for Supersats, will be available.

Just a really quick question here....
Will there be loads of chances to qualify online direct to the final at DTD as looking at some of the leg dates/venues it will be surely more beneficial for us 'midlanders' to try and go down that route to hopefully qualify and go to Nottingham?

And looking quickly at some of the threads on here, i feel that the more new, varied, and different level of players that get through to the final, the better. Letting 'pros' play would devalue this tournament IMO. And would it not be a good thing to see a whole host of newer players there rather than the same majority of faces from last year??

    Hi
Yes there will be plenty of qualifiers for the final.
I'm not really sure how to take this post. I am one the same old faces from last year, so does that mean you dont think i should be playing this year.
Last year i went to all but the Swansea leg and in EVERY case the day was based on having fun, yes its a poker tournament but it is a chance to meet the faces behind the avatars.
I live in Middlesbrough and this year i will go to as many as i can qualifiy for, but if i dont then i will attend Newcaslte and Luton as a spectator and take part in the PTP tables and side events.
Allowing the "odd"pro in, will not devalue the tourney, but i would love to play the likes of D Colclough etc.
I had the pleasure of being invited to N Pace's home game, where there were loads of pros playing.
J Atkinhead, M Smyth, P Jackson etc. I got to sit down at the same table as S Davis(my sporting hero) and S Trumper and i learnt a lot watching and playing these guys(even if it hasnt changed my fortunes on line), and i DONT fear who i share a table with now.

Yes - there is a 3 month gap between Leg 5 & The Grand Final, so Super Sats will be running non-stop in that period.
