Usually - subject to confirmation by SPT Rich for this Tour - but 2pm is the norm for us.

The Final is usually done & dusted by between Midnight & 2am.

But the SNG fun & games continue all night!

Nearer the Luton leg Tk, maybe you can advise Alan and myself on any satisfactory hotels to stay for the weekend. We will prob do a Friday night and Sat night stay and leave on the Sunday. Make a weekend of it. (assuming one or other gets through the sats!)

In Response to Re: SPT 2009/10 - Post your Questions here, please. : No no, not at all. But some folks can't hold their ale, & become rude & obnoxious to others, & disrupt the enjoyment of others at the table. The idea is for everyone to enjoy themselves, so if anyone wants to spoil it by becoming drunk & abusive, steps will be taken to ensure the day is not spoilt for others. One player got badly out of line at The Broadwey leg last time, due toi alcohol issues, so he got himself banned from the Grand Final, even though he qualified. "Polite drunks" (& funny drunks) are fine & dandy! Abusive & obnoxious drunks are not.

Havent seen this player on the site since that game, maybe he feels ashamed? But i dont think he will be participating this yr, so hopefully no trouble :-) (My vote for most drunk person at SPT will be Sky_Rich if he is allowed to drink, so many people will be buyin him drinks)

Yes, before each leg, we will let everyone know a selection of Hotels which are local to the venue.

The Days Inn is about 200 yards away from Luton Casino. Its ok, and only about £35 if that.

It's a little dearer than that - like double! - these days, but there is a good selection of Hotels in Luton, to suit all pockets.

Well in advance of each Leg, a selection of Local Hotels will be made known to all those playing.

Hi, well done to Tikay and sky on the news of the SPT.
Satellites, an old hobby horse of mine.
Last year they were 6 handed and quite a fast structure, not exactly in keeping with the 10 seater 30 minute clock that you are qualifying for. Any chance that they will at least be 10 seater's this year?

    Hi Guys
What normally happens is that someone outside the regulars, that normally only go to one of the events gets out of hand. This ranges from drunken abuse, obnoxious attitude, shouting at others downfall and over celebrations.
Tony has NEVER failed to deal with this, and anyone who was in Edinburgh will testify, you WILL know by looking at his face, when it happens.
I think that the introduction of Richard will only consolidate this and when Tony say it will not be tolerated, believe me IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Most of us regulars get there early, have a few beers, abuse each other, have a laugh, take money off each other, and have a great time, embrace and agree to do it again next time. THATS WHAT THESE ARE ABOUT.
I normally stay to the end, or until i cant stand up, and then the presenters and crew start playing. Great fun

Morning Tk, Just saw the WSOP 2007 ME Final table. Jerry Yang hitting runner runner straight to win it... I am telling you TK poker is fixed ;) add Mr Negreanu's bad beat in this year's WSOPE ME.... Do you know something I think all the people that complain over bad beats should watch they way these guys took their bad luck, for 6 and 7 figure losses. I predict a massive 'bad beat' ;) at the SPT lol and the verbals that will follow - oh no they won't as we will be in person and the keyboard warriors can't hide behind their screens.... So my question is, as some people think Sky Poker is rigged (and all other sites) what are Sky going to do to make sure the live cards do not provide bad beats? I am thinking perhaps taking an extra card to suit the probability of the favourite actually winning the hand... Sorry in cheeky mood today. Probably only way I can handle the DYMS I am going to take on later

    Hi Dave,
To make sure the online conspiracy theorists are made to feel welcome, the Sky Poker Tour, can unleash the worst weapon at their disposal, DAISY THE DEALER OF DEATH. anyone who witnessed her performance, and was still playing were praying like mad they weren't put on her table.
It was sad to hear grown men and women crying and wailing at dealer changes.
    Am I right Tony?

We'll post up qualifier names, numbers of seats left at regular intervals on this board in the run up to Manchester

    Satellites begin tonight

I might have to ask if you have specific questions but as I can see (poker lobby, mtt/satellites)there is a 1 in 5 qualification for £24 with feeders into that at £2.60 and £5.20

Good luck to all in qualifying, see you in Manchester!

Hiya don't know if this has been covered or not but what time approx. do you think that the tournies will be concluded?

I only ask because at the G's on Saturdays they turn the bar area into some cra ppy nightclub, not really a problem when the only poker running is a £10 donkament or 1/1 cash game but for a tournie like this with a fairly big prize pool and status it will be annoying.....

so yeah have they been told to turn the music down!!!!

    cheers :)

Finish some time after midnight, is the plan

As you say G Casinos on a Saturday are lively. Indeed Manchester also has cabaret planned for that night.

A couple of things going on to alleviate the impact of this, but (short of getting tikay to lead a sing along club singer stylee to "I will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor to drown the act out ) we'll just have to work round the issue.

    Hi Rich,
I don't think the G or the players would really appreciate Tony,s warbling. The idea is to have a good time not need a doctor hehehe.
