Congrats to all who have qualified so far. Manchester's a bit far for me to travel so I'm not trying for this one so good luck to all who eventually qualify & I hope to see some of you at Luton next year

I might be able to get you a better price than that. I've seen you play.

That actually would be a very funny and great idea for skypoker/skybet to join up on this!! The chances of picking a winner from a 150 runner trny where you only know how they play online, will make it extremely hard... But could sky set that up fora giggle.. (im sure their money will be safe)

Hi mate, I know BETF**d let you put a bet on your own head in the pub regional poker finals.. so I'm sure Sky could do this if they wanted to.

I think this would be great!! Not only put a bet on yourown head but anyone you choose, (would be interesting the odds they would give for each player or whether they had same odds for all players) Seriously think this would be a good idea for sky to do!! Would add that extra bit of banter as well... Could some1 in the office pass this idea on and see if its possible? I saw somewhere it was said skypoker and skybet are trying to work together for promotions etc.. this could be a good start :-)
I believe there will be a live update/blog as well, so you could even have "Live odds" if it became popular

He is not old enough to get into a Casino. Minimum age is 18.
Having qualification only on the 5 legs, makes the tour more inclusive to sky players. Yes anyone can set up an account and do a satelite, but that will hopefully encourage them to then carry on, on sky. Last year only the main event was buyin only, the 5 legs were satelite only same as this year. I like the satelite only, as it limits the amount of "outsiders" playing and you get a chance to see the people you play everyday live face to face.

i get what you saying but if someone off sky poker who plays regulary that wants to play the event but doesnt qualify, why should he miss out if the person isnt good enough or as had some bad luck trying to qualify?

I feel there is enough time/seats for everyone who REALLY wants to go to get a seat. The satelites go up at least a month in advance, and with on average 5 seats going a night and 125 seats available thats 25 satelites they have the option to go for... I get your point, I dont think this is to "filter the players" at all, I think its to stop randoms entering who dont play on sky and to stop the seats going within a day. (APAT seats go on sale at 9pm on a certain evening, by 9.02 they are sold out)

once again i agree with what you are saying, apart from the filter the players bit... sky advertise there poker as a friendly fun easy site which is very true, but it seems to me that if your not a good player and want to play the event for just pure fun or something to do thats weekend then you carnt. im having a crack tomoz to qualifying for the event but im just talking in general about some people on this site that might think that this way is unfair!

At the end of the day it is a £100 tourney.. I doubt someone looking for "something to do for the weekend" would spend that on a tournament... then there is the travel and hotel etc..
Good luck with your qualifier, hope you get through... see you in Manchester :-)

They are running fun sit n gos etc at the venue so there will be something for just the fun player, I doubt I have the bankroll to qualify but I will be there whatever to support the regulars and enjoy the atmosphere.

Hi I think that the opposite is the case, if anything the qualifing system encourages the "lesser" players to take part, in, what is an expensive tournament for a lot of people. How can i say this? Well if we look at last year there was a good percentage of the field were first timers into a live poker game. In answer to Solar. at the moment i only have a small bankroll but it cost me £30 to qualify and that includes £24 straight into a semi final. The way to do it if your on a limited BH, is to do the lowest level qualifiers £2.40.

PS - Be there. And bring the deckchair shirt.
The seats are going FAST!
23 qualifiers now. Here's the lucky two dozen.*
* Give or take one.
Well done on qualifying.

Struggling to find who the Qualifiers are by looking in the Poker Lobby?
I did!
It seems you need to untick the "Show Registering Only" box at the bottom of the Lobby - then you can see the Qualifiers.
28 now!
These Seats could all be gone by the end of next week.
