Pretty uneventful evening for me tonight,  new job, late home etc etc.

Bubbled a couple of £5 dyms, terrible performance in mini, messed about on rovers latest challenge and won about 3 quid on cash table.  BR down by £15. Theres always tomorow.

Disappointingly only managed one session of NLHE200 today (In other news, Deus Ex - Human Evolution is a great game).

Also disappointed to only just make over break even.  Had the best table I've seen at this level in ages, lost a buyin to a bit of variance and ground it back.

    Current Monthly +/-   +3.83

    Small acorns and all that.

Spent 2 hours 4-tabling NL8.  Played really bad for 5 minutes after I accidentally folded AA pre.  Managed to cooler some guy withh 22 v KJ on a JJ2 board.  Must be nice.

Probably won't play tomorrow as I want to check out Poker in the Park.

    Total profit: £8.24

Played 2 tables tonight for 1 hour 1x8NL and 1x10NL. Not very many hands but did get someone's stack when I made a fullhouse on 10QJQ8 board and he called me on the river with a 9 for the straight lol.

    BR 1st September: £226.83

    BR 2nd September: £239.64

    Profit: £12.81

I,d just like to ask some of the winning players on here when they wiithdraw their winnings and what percentage of their winnings  they withdraw and how much of it do they add to their BR?

Because i only play every now and again these days i just deposit as and when i need too but when i was playing on a reg basis there was never really a set time that i would withdraw any cash. I used to leave about 20 buyins in my account at anyone time and would withdraw after any good sessions or on the flip side of that if i had a bad session i would top up again to 20 buyins but its all player dependant imo because i used to play a average of 12 tables at a time so 20 buyins was only 8 in reserve when seated.

If you are only playing 2-4 tables a time 10 buyins should be enough to leave in as long as you know what your doing ofc because if you need any more putting in you can always just click on the deposit cash link and until then your money is always better in your own bank account making you a bit of interest.

When I have a good MTT result it's off to the Covent Garden Ugg Boots store for the GF.  This month she's developed a taste for Asics Trainers as well.  Why can't she be into stuff like Hi-Tecs, you know, the cheap stuff....

While i am here i might aswell post todays p/l lol

Played a couple of £50nl and £100nl tables this afternoon then another couple of £50nl tables tonight After a bottle of wine ( bad idea lol ) aswell as the 2 bounty hunters (which i love playing).

I cashed in the main bh with 1 head prize and also won overall on the cash tables.

My account has £143.24 more in it than it had this morning so all is good :)

I think somebody mentioned in a earlier post on this thread how the amounts won and lost are all relative to the size of game you are playing and that is exactly right.

Its good to see the bigger game players with there +/- figures in the £100s alongside the smaller game players with there +/- in the £1s and yet all are here for the same reason which is to focus and to help each other as and when they can.

Also pleased to see DOHHHHHHH has joined the thread because from what ive seen about him and from him on other threads on here i think his posts after a few cans of lager on a friday night are going to be comedy gold :)

Very best of luck to everyone.

September started bad for me, with a 70£ loss within the very first hand I played and a 200£ish loss by the end of the first session.

Managed to grind it back on cash tho to a small profit of around 80£ for the day.  I also bought into around 200£ worth of tournies on Sky too (no cashes ofc, I wouldn't dare do such a thing)...so really a +280£ on the cash tables.

Grinded 1.7k of poker points too which is nice.  Need to hit a 24-30k month in C4P (this is due to the structure of the TSP sponsorship) as my last couple of months have been poor so nice to put a solid figure up in the first day.

This thread is gonna depress me.

How do people make so much?

Anyway modest profit yesterday actually feels really good considering.....

Went back to the old HU sngs, so obviously tilted really bad at 1 point and was 200 quid down.

Playing 30/40/50 quid games which I would never normally do.

Anyway, despite this hand, I can honestly say I WAS running really bad at the higher games, but this 2 outer in a 52.50 quid game sorted my head out!

If I'd lost this I'da probably logged off early, (8pm) and called it a night @ - £220

Thanks for the person who pointed me to this thread :) yes i wouldnt mind joining in on this, although i will feel so little compared to the likes of TommyD and DOHHHH but hey we all gotta start somewhere so heres my winnings as far

Played 1 table tonight for 1/2 hour 2p/4p Not very many hands and was a yoyo with my buy in, but managed to get it up to a pound profit, but then last hand of the day i lost 43p with 10/10 Queen came on the flop, BB checks, i raise he goes over the top of me, and i didnt like the look of it, my guess is a bluff but could also of been 2 pair so im keeping myself upbuilt saying it was a good fold.

So after not being able to sleep i decided to a Double up SNG 60p big mistake, my AK go reraised pre flop somebody asumed i was bluffing and beat me with KJ :( oh well, i will see if i can get it back.... Bleh, cant seem to hit a single hand today, so down 1 BI dunno whether its cus i have posted my hands on here but everyone seems to know how im playing aswell, which is kinda annoying when im not hitting the hands....
Finally started hitting hands, and managed to get a lil back, but today has been a bad day with 2 big hands turn into bad beats.

Turned my day around now :) thank goodness, now only down £2 for the day instead of the 2BI's that i was down earlier, thanks to the advice of many people around the sky site :)
came back and lost £3 but before leaving the table got it all back +£1 profit, so im just £1 down for the day, so will be returning later to get it back lol, gotta go to work :(
ok so got back from work and decided i would try and get my pound back, but ended up making a dreadful call against a guy who kept going all in after the flop, so i ended up £5.00 down but did a £5 DYM SNG which i won netting my daily profit of 58p, which isnt that bad considering i lost £15 through the course of the day... as a result im now £15.80p in profit for the month

    Starting BR £5.00

    Br 1st September: £20.22

    BR 2nd September: £20.80

    Profit: £15.80

  • edited September 2011
Small session last night only managed 220 hands which is criminal but for some reason a 3rd table wouldn't bloody load up lol. Had a decent start and was about a BI up at one point but had a few nasty ones late on to leave me break even.

    Start BR - £344.76

    Session - £0.79

    End BR - £342.02

Ive said before that i dont tend to keep much more than £100 on my sky account BUT i do keep my bankroll in a seperate bank account and build on this from withdrawals , also if i need to top up my sky roll then it comes from this xx

Withdraw anything over 1k after every session, so this morning withdrawn 121 quid.

I spose your question about wether it goes into the bankroll or not is aimed more at pros than me.....

But personally I've no real desire to move up to the high stakes. Using v conservative figures/BR strategy, I'm rolled for pretty much any game I wanna play up to 100nl so there's no need to increase my BR either on the site, or in my poker bank.

Not sure of the merits of going public, but here goes:

Equally not sure how I would describe my current strategy, maybe high risk?

My aim is to play as many of the big events on the site, rollers, primo etc.

No way will I pay an entry fee above £33, so I try and satellite in.

The first part has worked quite well recently in that I have played 3 x £220 Sunday rollers getting through on the £9.60 sat's, plus a Thursday roller for free but no cashes in any of these events.

    Anyway day 1 - September 1st

    Thursday Roller - sat £24
    £33 BH - sat £7.20

    Failed to qualify = - £31.20

    Played £33BH and mini BH = +£29.94
Going nicely in main BH, when about 40th out of 47, managed to get my pocket aces all-in pre flop, got a caller with K 10 who went on to hit his full house! (this seems to happen to me so much at the moment, spectacular beats are becoming second nature).

    Played 3 SNG'S = + £8

    Bankroll after day 1 + £6.74

yes but lambert, i had £5 and took it to £20 on the 1st, finished playing poker and then posted my first post at 1/9/2011 5:29 AM :) so the profit is coming from what i started with at the beginning of my month

Pretty good day yesterday started with about £73 ended With £124ish, so £51 up mainly from 5.50 DYMs but £11.75 from the Bounty Hunter ME which i got into for free (TY Irishrover and Sky)

+New personal best for poker points in 1 day 333 (although i got 100 of those from the bounty hunter!)

nasty start to the day. started off fine, 100 pound up after first session. Then it all went wrong, played some HU and ran very poorly. Got my aj in on the flop of a3j against 33 :/. got my a5 in on a aq5 flop against a6 for him to hit the 6, both were 3oo£+ pots. So taking a short break for a while, abck to grinding later.

For the day im -400 xo overall profit is 690.33 :)
  • edited September 2011
Well im gonna have to amend my challenge as i think its gonna be near imposs , so i will keep it to £20 profit per day minimum over a month = £600 profit at end of challenge BUT i will drop down from nl20 to nl10 as seems easier to win moniez and more casual players at tables + i think i need a bigger roll to multi 3/4 tables at nl20 and if all goes well i will step up to nl20 at start of next month.

Hope this thread isnt just about any profits we make mate because if it is i might aswell stop posting now lol

Had a nightmare in last 2 hours of play.

Day started well early hours when i sat on 7 100nl tables and had QQ on 3 of them all v the short stacks all in pre and all held.

After only 15mins of play for some reason or other my tables started running very slow so i left and had a early night +£179.29 on the day so far.

Up bright and early this morning and itching to log on. Wish i had slept in lol

As i type this im about £600 down on the session almost all of it from 100nl and from a mixture of bad luck and bad play on my part ( paying off big bets from tight players who i know are not good enough to even bluff or fire more than 1 bullet never mind bluff in the situations i was paying them off in )

Still at the tables now but cut down to 2 at the mo to chill out a bit.

Tables have just got a bit harder aswell because tommyd just sat at them.

Will post final days totals later tonight.

    Good luck all.
