In Response to Re: **** SEPTEMBER PROFIT CHALLENGE THREAD **** : Losing streak lasted another 3 PLO/PLO8 tourneys, then things started to turn around. Min-cashed 2 PLO MTTs and then finished second in a deepstack by playing very tight all the way through. I think I was all-in called once before heads-up (almost 3 hours). Total winnings £41.50, balance for today +£11.36, balance for month -£21.54

Uneventful day today. Played the usual few Omaha MTTs and a deep stack (hand that crippeled me saw my KK lose to A9s late in first hour). Finished runner-up in one PLO8 tourney and that £16.50 win covered all my buy-ins. Also made it through today's survivor.

    Balance today: +£0.10
    Balance month: -£21.44

    small 2 hour session
hit a nice purple patch towards the end of it and found a person who didn't believe.
lost a bit when 2 pair beaten by set near end of session, funny how there's always one of those losing hands just at that time!
    Up £5.26 on session

    Balance for month up £11.71

September 4th - Dabbled with a few sng's, attempted Irishrover's head up challenge, making it to level 3, where I manage to self destruct first hand!

Sunday afternoon is the big satellite day of the week for my current strategy of trying to focus on (by qualifying through satellites) as many main events as possible.

Failed to satellite into the Sunday Roller Semi, so paid for the £24 buy in.

Had some good battles and table chat with GregHogg, unfortunately neither of us qualified, though we made it to the final two tables.

Still it was the first game I had enjoyed for a few days and I was winning as many races as I was losing, which was a big improvement.

Entered the 5.00pm Primo semi, 131 runners and I qualified comfortably without any real problems.

A bonus was I also qualified for the Mini roller via another satellite, so was feeling much better about my game and my luck.

Also paid the buy in for the mini primo, so the hope of a night of quality poker was set up on a relatively small budget.

Went out of the Mini Roller, just as the Primo table was opening, I flopped 2 pair, probably could and should of got off it, but went out to a player with a bigger 2 pair.

Went deep in the Min Primo, eventually going out in 55th, lost a race that I was marginally ahead of pre flop, but no complaints, also came across Rentisdue, which again reminded me that there are some good players on this site, who are also very decent types.

On to the Primo, for the first half hour I managed to donk off 500 of my 2000 starting stack, then urgh!(well that's what my opponent typed) when I made the 'hero' (for Hero see Donk) call, to lose just over 1000 chips.

Half an hour into the deep structured Primo, this left me with 450ish chips and if if memory serves me I was 179th out of 179 (definitely last whatever the exact number)with around 10 big blinds.

Shoved a few times without a caller, until last hand before the break, where I managed to double up and finish the first hour on 1003 chips, still near the back of the field.

To cut a long (4 more hours play) story short, I managed to get myself into the tournament with a mixture of good play, bad play and good luck.

I suddenly found the Poker Gods were back on my side, I can think of at least 3 races where I couldn't of complained if I had lost and at least a couple of times where I would have felt like apologising if it wasn't for the fact I understand how the game works and had been the victim myself so many times before.

So, I eventually found myself heads up, Peteltfc had around 4 times my stack, but I evened it out before leaking a few, then I committed to second pair on a flop, he made a raise, I felt it wasn't convincing, (he had hit the top card King, but had a 5 kicker), I actually rivered 2 pair, but was already dead as the turn card gave Peteltfc trip Kings.

Two days ago, saw a long bad run accumulating with probably my worst night at the tables, last night was my most profitable night ever!

    September - Profit + £1,758.44

Don't complain about break even days. You seem to have dodged losing sessions for a little while now but if you'er playing correctly, then no matter how good you are, you will get some losing sessions soon so just beware and don't get downhearted or have your BR wiped out by them.

Could only manage the one session today with DTD later so got 420 hands in. Started very well got it in with QQ v AK lost to ace on river for full BI good stuff. After that it did start to get better and found quite a few hands with many somehow holding up so I built back and finished in profit meaning I can showcase the GREEN colour :).

    Start BR - £344.76

    Session - £1.64

    Current BR - £283.82

    4 tabled 1 x PLO 4 and 3 x NL4 last night for 2 hours.

Had a tragically bad start -3BI on PLO and -2BI across 2 of the NL tables within about 30mins.

Managed to work back into profit on the NL tables and almost broke even on the PLO until the table broke and I was left HU with an obviously better player than me.  He nicked the £11 I managed to regain off me in a matter of minutes.  I'm sure there's a lesson to be learned there.

Pretty quiet day again today, couldn't play the DTD tonight because Emma (Llamas) wanted to play it and we've only got 1 laptop.

Failed level 3 of Irish Rover's challenge so that was £2.10 lost and then got a quick hour in on the cash, 5 tabling and lost £7.13. Didn't really make many mistakes just got dealt very few playable hands despite being dealt about 400 hands.

Day 6, as usual i started off at midnight before going to sleep, made a bit of profit after a most enjoyable free roll which i should of done much better in and ended up disappointing myself, when blinds were at 1000 i kinda made 1 mistake call costing me half my chips, i called an all in from the low stacker after that A 10(me) v A2 (him) resulting in a loss to me go figure i always seem to lose the raises when im ahead to start with, then whilst trying to get my chips back up i tried stealing a blind with J 10, well i say steal, i was in push or fold mode with less then 10BB's and got called by AKSo i woke up today and hit the tables and won 64p in the first few hands, problem is 1 man was sitting out, 2 seats were empty and it had become 3 way, i left because there would be no profit to be made with blinds hitting me so fast all the timeI did a HUGE hero call today, and it paid off, i raised with K 10 to 20p, and i had 2 callers, completely missed the flop and the guy next to me goes all in, a little bit of background he had been raising and bluffing almost every hand, it was only gonna cost me a pound to call so i went for it, he showed me J 9 in which he had missed everything and i won the pot :) happy daysThe wierdness begins, i think there is something im missing but anyways i got £5 randomly appear in my account today i think its from last month (The month i lost anything and decided to start with nothing lol.

    Starting BR £5.00

Good day at the tables that started early morning with a buyin win at 200nl then after some sleep it continued right through until around 5pm on all levels from 30nl up to 300nl but i did best at the 100nl tables where on 1 table especially i couldnt seem to miss and seemed to be dealt AA or KK every other hand ))

On and off the cash tables again tonight from about 8pm until now but only a small win and lost £20 on mtts.

Shouldve turned pc off at 5pm and had early finish but not too know that at the time and also made extra c4ps lol
