i'm 33rd in the sng list and i rarely play anything above a tenner, in fact im playing 3.30's at the moment.
i intend to sneak through the back door so to speak... (no jokes please lol)
As for players having their time in the team extended, I think that anyone who cashes in a GUKPT event thoroughly deserves it.
And it is good to see team members posting in the forum, but not just for the sake of it. Far more important that they are regularly playing on the site. Also good to see the guys who generally play cash getting involved in tournaments too.
As to whether people stay in the team or not, I think thats for sky to decide, unless they change the way they do it. Like a forum vote. My guess is they will only keep the players on if they rake enough to pay for their GUKPT seat. Of which is probably not many, thats why people dont get kept on. (well not to my knowledge)
Also you could be good enough at poker for TSP but you have to be a good ambassador as its Skys reputattion that trying to uphold when you go to these tournaments or even just posting on the forum or talking to other members.
If for example you,ve got a long criminal record, into drugs, a racist and generally have a bad attitude it doesn,t matter how good you are . you shouldn,t be in ( that migt be a bit over the top for an example but you get what i mean)
Take up to 20 minutes a week at least to write a blog or thread or a few posts of you,ve been up to and how being in TSP is for you - just something connecting you with the community as i think the TSP in general has become disconnected with the community.
At the start the community were alll behind the team and could follow their progress. Now a lot of members of the community are not really interested and have lost track / not been kept up to date with who,s in - who,s out - their schedules etc and TSP seems to have become de-valued with ppl preffereing prizes
Perhaps Ian frazer can spark some interest, since he won the presenters game for his place on TSP. No offence to Anna but if she,d luckboxed her way to winning that she would be in TSP and playing in a GUKPT. She,s a gr8 presernter but is only just learning the game and wouldn,t be ready in time.
I for one would like to see at least a thread dedicated to the TSPer,s and all the latest news on the goings on on in the main part of the forum which will get the community behind it again
Q for Scotty or anyone else who may know - Who is currently in TSP? and when will they be playing again as part of TSP?
Ps -Agree with many - As the DTD leaugue has grown so has the standard and some places for the top players should be reserved in the TSP quaterly freerolls

It is possible for small stake STTers to qualify for TSP. TKP's & forum DTD frequent player RobbieRott managed to get a place on Team Sky Poker, despite playing smaller stakes. I think it was cycle 2? I remember it causing a buzz on the forums as we had one of the small guys try to beat the big sharks and succeed!!!
I think as Tommy pointed out TSP is to raise awareness of Sky Poker on the bigger stage. The players going deep in GUKPT's etc bring about tv & magazine coverage amounting to free advertising to the wider poker community, and in that respect it's doing a very good job! Sky want the TSP players to earn lots of c4p as part of their TSP bonus so they can play additional high profile events.
I'm not sure why the TSPers have stopped wearing the blue hoodies though as they definitely created more 'brand awareness' as crazy and stein pointed out. I know they were defo banned at Luton but i'm not sure where DTD stand on this...Maybe they're just going through a redesign as Tikay seems to have recently acquired a new SP wardrobe in a darker blue/black recently.
I have to say though with 6 new players coming on board every 3 months it is harder to keep track of who's in and who's out, so more visibility in this area might not go amiss...

Just wondering, what is the format of the TSP tourney?
Apart from the SnG's in the VIP area which were by invite only, the other SnG's at last week's SPT Final were arranged and dealt by members of TKP and there was no TSP involvement as far as I know.
Anyone could play these who was about and I even dealt at a table when players were waiting.
The thing with doing it that way is it's basically telling everyone how much you make/lose at poker. I think you will find a lot of players will 'opt out' if it means all their records will be on show. This can be because somebody only makes money from rakeback even though they play decent levels and have a reputation, or it could be because they don't want other players seeing how much they crush their level as it could limit the amount of action they get.
What is the format of the "chip handicap" eg i'm currently 30th for STT points and Jinglema is 1st, what will our chipstacks be?
& is Vegas a yearly donkament too??

The Vegas & TSP tourneys,[NOT Donkaments], Have always had the cream reach the final stages, they may have some under-rated players make it or get close!!
BUT IS THAT NOT THE DREAM!!!!!!
We were all under-rated players once, some improve fast, some slow, some dont.......BUT dont tell me it is not the dream of EVERY player on here, to win a big live tourney like GUKPT/SPT or Final table WSOP, just some are ALOT further away than others!!

AND was not the Poker BOOM started[apparently], when 'hobby' player Moneymaker won the WSOP!!

I said, give him a place on TSP, I didn't mention anything about a £1000 buy-in event and the reply was, well he can buy-in himself now. Surely there should be more to TSP than 1 buy-in, even if it's bragging rights. I'm by no means having a go at Poker_Fail but this seems to be the general concensus among the community... Would no-one even be the slightest bit proud to be in it? Not that I'm of a high enough standard but I'd love to Don the TSP hoody and get out there playing some poker, could wear it down to the casino in Liverpool (bit of free advertising)
