What a flop! Horrible doesn't describe it.  Waller you're a good player in my book,  a few days off will do the trick and hopefully a bit of run good.

What an awful flop, it must be super rare to flop a Q-high flush and be behind 2 others at a 6-handed table.

Well, I was meant to be having a break....but it got to the evening and I was bored and seeming as I wasn't doing a lot wrong the past 2 days I thought I would play a couple of mtts.

Glad I did though because I had a cash in the mini BH followed by this.....

Phew, took down the 600 gtd bh, not bad for a £2.30 buy in and a MUCH needed win!  It rounds off a good weekend, the mother in law had the kids so me and the missus could have some "romantic" time and the mighty mariners won to consolidate their charge for play offs in the conference.

No more poker tonight gonna quit while I'm ahead!

haven't posted for a while but haven't played a great deal.

on sunday i treated myself to the primo semi and came fairly close but not close enough. played the dtd on monday night and only managed a min cash in one of the mtts.

stuck a fiver on a "dead cert" at cheltenham (according to my mate), was a "dead cert" alright, to finish at the back end of the field!

off work tomorrow so gonna play the doublestack semi, have a few beers and watch the footy

I write this after an eventful and br damaging few days.

The weekend hit my roll pretty hard, I just can't seem to stop playing whilst drunk and buying into mtt's that I shouldn't enter! It really is very annoying the next day when I look at my br with the hangover from hell...yet the next weekend I do it all again! So I have given the missus strict instructions to drag me away from the laptop as soon as the booze starts kicking in.

Lost a few quid on the horses too, so Sunday was a case of trying to recover any losses by playing very small stakes mtt's and having a stab at the primo sat. I was just playing for the sake of it and to be honest I'm playing RUBBISH at the minute so not gonna play til friday nights orfordable. (got a lot of work stuff to catch up on too!)

So, if you see me on your table from 10pm onwards on a sat night I am prob drunk, def playing like a loon and I apologise in advance if you get outdrawn by one of my drunken idiotic plays!!! lol

Fresh back from a few days off. It has helped me to start focussing properly and I have actually enjoyed playing this evening.

Last night I min cashed in a 500 gtd, tonight I satellited into the 10k BH. I have just busted out in 70th but I got the chips in way ahead 10's v A8.....the villain calling for virtually all of his stack. I did take 4 heads though so ended up with a profit.

I played a solid game but there is one hand that is really bugging me. The 2 villains in the hand were very very aggro and I didnt fancy AQ 3 handed, turns out I would have won the hand and would have been sat in the top 10 with a great chance of going very deep......all ifs and buts though eh! Any thoughts on this hand would be appreciated, was the fold correct or should I have took a gamble?

I'm glad to see things are on the up and that the enjoyment is back (very important).

In my opinion that fold is correct after so much action. You have to expect one of them to have you dominated most of the time. Calling there can only be described as a gamble. The best case scenario is flipping against 2 underpairs, but more often one of your opponents is holding one of your outs which makes a big dent in your equity (ie if the KT guy had AT that's one of your 6 outs removed). It's tough to fold AQ when stacks are shallow but you still have 21BB to play with, I think you can wait for a better spot to get it in.

ty gary, yeah it was a bit of a sickener after the hand had finished but i thought i was dominated, i was calling until the other villain called. as i said i did find a great spot getting the lot in as a big fav with my 10's but just wasn't to be.

keep going with your challenge mate, it's good to see things starting to go your way :)

I haven't played all week as I have been away on a course for work. Got back on saturday and managed to sat into the 10k BH, never really built up a decent stack but luckily managed to take one head to make a small profit. Went on to play another 2 mtt's including a speed tourney, managed to get a reasonable stack but due to fast structure ended up having to shove with AQ....got called by J10 and lost but I got the chips in good so can't complain.

Today I decided to buy into the primo semi, bad br management but due to not playing all week I thought I would have a go. Lost a flip AK v 99.

This month I have decided to have a proper crack at the dyms as I don't have the time to play many mtt's due to other commitments. They are going well at the min (played 12 and lost 2).

I am also happy to be part of the best team on the forum again, the mighty TPT!!
