This guy is a crackpot gave me a load of nasty abuse for betting against him in a DYM when others were short stacked, nasty ill tempered poor player! get a grip jstflipp!! In Response to Re: Going Pro [Bearlyther's Diary] : Posted by HullCheat
What? Crackpot haha :L
I wasn't giving you nasty abuse
I was just wondering why when you had 4k chips you called an all in with KQ from another guy with like 4k chips and a short stack had like 2BB's, wasn't abusing you was just asking :S
In Response to Re: Going Pro [Bearlyther's Diary] : Well just off the top of my head, from very recent posts, you've compared taking cash advice from Rancid to taking driving lessons from a blind person, and you've said that you would never play cash on this site. We all know about variance, I'm sure there are plenty of times to come when he will be the 80/20 favourite and lose. If he's going pro and doing it for a living, he's gonna need to take these ups and downs in his stride. One thing about Bearlyther is I've yet to hear him moaning and groaning about bad beats, yes he might be on a bit of a heater but everyone gets the odd outdraw even on a heater. He's mentioned them in passing but glad to see there's none of the 'Sort it out Sky', or 'Bloody Sky river'. Posted by Lambert180
ignore the troll, just looking for anyone to go at it with - don't like me much :S
I was wondering is it possible for thread posters to remove comments or stop others from posting.
Wernt sure if it was worth starting this diary again. Ive enjoyed reading it but the majority of it is others shooting you down and generally bickering lol
The only thing i think i would do if i was in your position would probably be to withdraw a nice chunk of your winnings now so if you do go on a losing streak you still got something out of it.
Good luck to you in your poker journey. If it works out well done, if not never mind. Can you give my fezz a little rub because im in some need of some run good.
Thanks JoshlarrWacko90gaga87Jimbobadob appreciate the support it really helps me. As for bankroll management i am the 1st person to admit that i have probly the worst bankroll management on the site and i am well aware of the roll i need to be playing at each level this is the biggest weakness in my game and hopefully i can stop myself from taking big shots soon but it has been working so far. As i said last night i hadnt actually planned today at all due to my university project being due in on Monday but i got a good lot of work done in the afternoon so decided to play tonight. I ended up playing everything again i know im crazy 50nl 100nl heads up 200 nl heads up, 200 nl 6 max. Played in the main and mini didnt do anything in them. Played a bounty hunter tournament was 2nd when there was 20 players left and finished 15th! Today ran quite well again apart from making a few mistakes in the tournament. Withdrew £500 of my roll last night to purchase new laptop. Unfortunately wont be able to play until monday evening again until after this project is finished.

I take back everything I've said, although you're lucky you seem to be doing amazingly well
Thanks jstflippin no worries in what you said before were all good. Cheers bignoise10 good to see a coleraine man on here! Posted by bearlyther
No worries lad.Your at a different level to me man,but can appreciate the effort your puttin into your poker.Followin this with keen interest.Like I say,the toons behind you lol.
if half the people on here supported the little guys who have started diarys on here well....... Just seems to be the most posts go on the one thats most contoversial and the biggest br lol. Have a thought for the little guys. Dont moan at each other about someone else! and support or advise players dont hate, its petty and not worth the bother.
I do think that bearly is getting a lot of stick because of his rather large BR compared to other diaries of the like.
Yeah he has made a couple of mistakes along the way tho but w/e we all do.
One piece of advice I would give is not to post 'Oh can't play for the next few days cos of Uni work' or 'not playing cash anymore' People like to stalk and then give nice little stabs so don't give them the ammo to do so
I just reiterate my early post, I am not experienced enough or good enough to advise. I wish you luck wee man, as I do everyone else when not in a hand with me, listen to the good guys and the experienced ones like Scotty77, and may you be blessed with good variance to go with the impetuousity of youth...

most of the diaries on here are akin to adrian moles daily measurement of his thingy without the added comedic value.
this appears to be a rare exception as it feels like its also written by someone who is 13 and 3/4
that said, he can clearly play poker better than me, so my only criticism can be aimed at this senseless navel gazing, but it clearly works for some, and there appears to be huge interest from the forum - the psychological question is do people really follow saying they want someone succeed, but secretly hoping they fail
GL to ALL you Adrian Moles apart from when I'm on your table
Best of luck. Your not too bad compared to a lot of the DYM players.
What's your average stake, because I think I play you at both 5s and 10s? In your opinion who's the top 3 DYM players at the stakes you play at? How many tables do you play nowadays?
First thing I look for when I open up the forum is this diary.
You write very honestly, Bearly, which is partly why you get some banter, but don't change, as it's very interesting to follow.
It's all pretty much car-crash stuff - no discipline in terms of sticking to a plan, little BRM etc...., but seemingly without the big pile up at the end.
It's clear you can play a bit though, which is obv. a good foundation.
I really hope it works out well, so wish you the best of luck.

You never know what's going to happen when you open this thread. The fact you have lots of haters too makes it even more interesting.

I have now finished my degree at University and have decided to take sometime out and go down under. I have withdrawn my roll and although i will not be going to Australia for a couple of months i feel it is best to get set up on a new site before i go. This is because i will not be able to play on sky poker in Australia and b if i am in Australia i will need a site with serious volume on it stars. I have saved up enough living expenses for 4 months and will be playing online professionally while im there. I plan on staying there for 12 months on a working holiday visa. If i happen to lose i will have funds to back me up for 4 months but i know i can succeed. Wish everyone the best of luck and hopefully i will come back and play on sky poker again in the future when i return back to the uk. I took on America last year and now im ready on take on down under!
You're going to Australia to sit indoors and play poker all day.???????
I think this will be such a wasted opportunity. Get out there meet the people and explore the land AND HAVE SOME FUN! If you need the poker fix, then have a few beers and play some live stuff out there.
Best of luck seems bit weird going there just to play poker?? go there and enjoy urself obv you can still play odd game while there but dont waste the oppoortunity you could play poker here lol
Good luck whatever you do mate. Look forward to you updating us how you are getting on/ get on whatever.

so how much was left of the roll when u withdrew....? ;-)
Best of luck to you dude. Travelling is definitely something that we all should do in our life time should the opportunity present itself. Like yourself I'm finishing up at uni this month and planning a few jaunts abroad, before considering what on earth to do with my life!
Don't get too caught up in poker while you're there though! Make sure to get as much out of the experience as possible and spend wisely so you don't have to rely on poker funded income too much. However, you will likely find the weather and lifestyle will be +E.V. when you do decide to play which is a wonderful thing.
So run good but above all enjoy yourself and keep us updated regardless of where you choose to play your pokerz!
All the best and good luck Brear, got mates who went months ago and havent returned, Me Im going to scarborough!!! In Response to Re: Going Pro In Aussi land!:
