Thanks mate appreciate the compliment.  I never knew i had won that at heads up as i dont subscribe to sharkscope.  I literally deposited £50 just so i can get by c4c up to 5000.  So i have cashed it out again now.  Yes scotty just looked that it seems to be a grey area in Australia so dont know if i will be able to play or not but i will have enough money saved for a few months anyway and will enjoy the experience.  As regards to playing live there no chance live boars me to death sitting there playing 1 table 10 handed were everyone takes like an hour to make 1 decision!

    Firstly, it's bore lol...

But seriously, it's like an arrow in my heart everytime someone makes a comment like that. The game was meant to be played live and is SO much more fun live.

enjoy, such a laid back lifestyle down under )

Australia is for the outdoors though, not sitting indoors playing poker :S

    A) Thanks for ignoring my questions
    B) Your a solidish player (for a lol standard site), but I'm fairly certain you'll get crushed on stars.

    That is all

    hit & run

first the tables, then the site

and decides to go to Austrralia just weeks after starting on Sky

clearly not his poker playing which seems pretty solid, but the rest smells just a little fishy......

I see no reason why you can't continue to post occasional updates here after you leave Sky. I'm sure both your supporters and your doubters will be interested to know how you get on. Good luck, Australia is a great country.

Best of luck in Aus man, going to be a great experience for you.

If you can or feel inclined, try to diary your travels, would be great to see how you're doing out there.

Well played and hope to see you on here when you get back.

Hi Sugar  We went on Holiday to Perth Australia two years ago and unless things have changed we were able to access Sky Poker there. I posted on the Forum while out there,  but the time zone is the problem being seven hours ahead.
They have free Internet access in most of the Libraries up to three hours at a time.  If your going to Perth Western Australia the Burswood Hotel Casino Complex on the Swan River is the place to go.
They run free buses from all around the City and suburbs to take you there and even give you free Lunch and all for just becoming a member, which is also free.  We had great day out, cost nothing and won 40 dollars to boot.  The Evenings are for the Pro- Players and some high rollers go there.  Hubby went to sit at a Table with his 200 dollars and was told he needed 2,000    He did sulk for a while.!
Oz is a great place to visit and you will not want to come home.  Have a great time and enjoy every minute.    Hugs Annie xx

I don't wanna join in with the haters, and I do wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do... but I notice there has been no BR update inbetween his last one and the post about moving to Australia.

Considering you have been spending too much time at levels like 100nl and 200nl (HU) where you could blow 2k in 1 session so a carcrash was due, and then the updates stopped... I suspect things aren't looking great.

I thought that you can play on skypoker anywhere in the world as long as you have a uk registered bank account?

    Good luck anyway f the h8rs :)

i was watching him yesterday and saw him leave the table well in profit,so i dont know

I suspect that these people have found loopholes, which Sky will now know about after you posting lol.

Like you can't watch BBC iPlayer abroad, but there is software that will essentially make it look like you are connecting from the UK to watch it. So I imagine that same software would fool Sky into thinking you were connecting from the UK.

no you can play from lots of different countries, there is a page somewhere on the website that lists them. if you look at the hu expert game selectors alot of them are from euroland

i would be confident to bet that his day was at least 1k in the red yesterday :)

let the busto rumours begin although i suspect a fair amount of fictional writing yet to come

Thanks for the best wishes guys.  with regards to going on a downswing that is certainly not the case .  After doing some thinking i will still play on the site occasionally for example the super roller or the odd tv table.  I am still waiting to get my stars account verified as i lived in america last year and played on there before black friday so have to send them through documents in order to verify that i am not an american so i can play!

So what's the latest BR update then? If you don't mind me asking.
  • edited May 2012
i cashed out £3642.47 yesterday and cashed out £91.40 today after i requested an early c4ps payout and it was payed in today. I then decided to deposit £100 to play occasional eg satelites for superroller and tv tables when i can be bothered until i get my stars account verified.

I'd suggest questioning a lot of what this guy says, as mentioned above he dumped atleast 1k at heads up before "leaving the site" so unless he made 1k+ playing £11 dyms or a random tourney bink since the last BR update it's pretty unlikely he cashed that amount out.

that being said a diary of a delusional degenerate was a good read so good luck on your next spin up

It's alright Zing, it's probably one of Donk's accounts ;) lol
  • edited May 2012
Mr Zing for your information i was on a massive heater yesterday up about 1300 on 50/1 hu then i moved onto 1/2 then i went onto a few more tables and lost about 1100.  This is what i have been playing so i dont get what you are getting at.

In Response to Re: Going Pro [Bearlyther's Diary]:
My 'tick list' for going full-time was something like this : - />100 buy ins bank roll (1 BI = 100BB's for cash) - 4 - 6 months living expenses saved separate to bankroll - 12 months history of profitability at or above the level required to live comfortably. - support of immediate family I've got a family to consider, so am happy to admit I was pretty conservative with these requirements. Your current situation clearly doesn't appear to meet the above in any aspect. Having said that, there are other approaches which are different to the way I looked at it. If your worst case scenario is that you go busto in two months, but still have a roof over your head, and can reasonably easily find a job, then I suppose the risk is limited. One thing I would suggest is to generate some cash (through poker or otherwise) to invest in your set up. Only being able to 4 table is a huge negative, when you want to find ways to maximise your volume / returns.
