Hand 1 - Bet bigger on the flop, default should be more than 1/2 pot, this could have set it up much better to stack him. With big hands your whole goal should ALWAYS be 'how can I size my bets so I can shove the river for a PSB or less'.
Hand 2 - I raise bigger pre after a 4x and a call. Bet bigger on a wet flop, again default more than 1/2 pot, and we bet mroe when it's multiway and more when it's really wet (this hand is both)
Hand 3 - I might just 3bet the flop and get it in there. Loads of draws and that will get it in now but are less than when a brick comes on the turn and there's only 1 card to come. Loads of 2prs and OPs that will get it in but won't do when the turn completes the flush/brings an overcard/is another card for the straight. There are lots of turn cards that either kill our action or give us the 2nd best hand. WP on binking the house
well I seem to be on a bad period now and think the tables have changed too much with this promo. they are now getting very tight because most of the villians are probably multi tabling with 15+ and will usually fold most hands. my bankroll has dropped to £327 I might just play a tournament tomorrow instead. one hand I thought of asking your opinions on is this
With people 5 plus tabling at 4nl, it kinda destroys the tables/ any dynamic/ poker playing.
Basically you can exploit them by just raising most hands, but it's boring.
And when they all of a sudden start betting 20-30 preflop you know what they have pretty much.
I would give the tables a miss for the next few days while it's on. Or just stick to 10 nl, it's only really 4nl they are bombarding. It;s maybe a bit more normal at 10nl, and theres prob some good spots for easy money.
Hey Craig, how about whilst the promo is on you cut down tables to 2-3 and table select/ concentrate specifically on 10nl there are bound to be some tables running of an evening without all the multitabling promo grinders if you look around. Anyway good luck mate and give me a shout on fb if you want to do some more hand reviewing.
well today was tournaments and thing's didn't start very well with some bad SnG I played 5 SnG DYM and of those I only won 2 in comparison to that I was in 3 MTT BH ad of those I only won 1 but it was more than the cost for the 3 overall. in one of the SnG i got very annoyed when this happened the reason i called the shove in the first place was the villain seemed to be doing it every hand he had so i thought i might as well call.
i am not going to play any more until Monday as 1-2 tournament is the max i should have per week when i am only able to make an average profit on cash tables of £15-£20 a day.
i have come up with some new target for july and they are 1. do 3/4 or full pot bet's more often especially on the flop and turn. 2. spend more time reviewing my hands 3. aim to get my bankroll to £500
I would imagine that you had a bad day and put it down to the promo. The games are still lolcrushable. go back to cash, your better than most players at 4nl.
Craig, the 4nl games are as soft as ever. I would imagine that you had a bad day and put it down to the promo. The games are still lolcrushable. go back to cash, your better than most players at 4nl. Posted by calcalfold
I am quite sure it is this promo that did it because I had actually 2 bad day's in a row and i remember a similar loss happened the last time this sort of promo. all that people do is fold every hand preflop until they get a very good one. what i want but is those who always try to see the flop.

Been good reading your diary, keep up the good work!
due to how tilted I have been this week I decided to not bother with my diary much. next week I will probably be able to get myself back on track as the cash table will return to normal again. this is my sharkscope are the way things were this week it is probably still missing my last tournament and the good news is atleast I did well in that one although I shouldn't have joined it I did play some good hands
my bankroll is £319.30 btw skeg the hand I had was JJ on the turn I decided to semi bluff a set then when I see the second king I then thought well maybe he doesn'e even have a K
Your bank roll 2 threads ago was 300 plus, and now is under 200??
You seem to do well, then hit a "bad spell".
But this is just over 2 days? Stick to strict bankroll management, i want to see this thread where you are telling us all that have 1k in your bankroll.
You are a good player, we've played a lot in the time i've been on sky. You do well, and make money playing the levels you do. But there seems to be a period every while where you have a massive downswing.
Might be an idea to set yourself limits. If for example you say you are going to pay mastercash 10nl, then set yourself a stop loss, ie 1 buyin. Have a shot at bigger buy ins, but dont let it drain your money if things dont go well.
today has got to be my best day this year, I decided to have a mixure throughout the day of tournaments SnG and cash. the cash tables were divided into 3 sessions each getting a winnings overall I got a total winnings of £42.73 from 9 tables(1act 8 nl4) I have 4 table losses (act 3nl4) the total from that was -£11.22 so I finished with profit of £31.51
the SnG I had were all DYM 4 were £5 and 2 were £2 I failed in both the £2 DYM but I made up with success in all 4 £5 DYM my overall profit was £13.75
as for tournaments I decided to try a few sats fter my first session but didn't go well and the most painful thing about it was they were due to my big stack going short when I called a jam twice once in two tournaments with AA but loosing when the sover hit his set I did win 97p profit and £5.98 in a free roll and cheap timed tourney and as my cash tables were going very well I decided to enter 1 £11BH knowing I made lots of money from SnG my only mistake was too many sats but luckily I won £38.23 in the £11BH so got a profit overall from the tournament of £9.58
I will just do a small update on how Friday went as it is very late. overall I got a loss today of £7 a loss of £8 was from MTT and £6.10 loss was off SnG I did have that good a start with cash but gradually managed to relax. as for my improvement on aggression it mainly relates to how i am doing on the cash tables. MTTs i still am weak at times especially the late stages
from tomorrow I will be getting back to my dominance I have with cash tables as the number of MTT i was on this week have wrecked my BR. micro cash tables might have poor players but they are nowhere near as strange as some of the tournament players are. my BR has dropped right down to £198
AKs must be the the worst hand of them all during the early stages I don't know where to progress from the flop if I miss even a reraise preflop doesn't seem to be enough signals of strength
Hand 1 - Raise smaller pre, c-bet fine, 100% fold to the shove. Looking at stacks actually I might even take a really weak line and just check looking to fold to a bet cos we only have 20xBB now and we're c-betting for 15% of our stack knowing we HAVE to fold if we get raised or get called and dont improve on the turn.
Hand 2 - Given stack sizes I'd probably jsut check back the flop, take the free card cos any bet is pretty pot committing. Again, take the free card on the turn, we won't get called by worse, we'll 100% of the time be in a situation where we are the underdog and needing to hit. You've been given the option to try to improve for free, take it and fold if we miss.
Isn't that loololool guy in the 3rd hand used to be a regular poster on this forum lol? I think i remember him, he's somehow won thousands of pounds hasn't he haha
I have just finished 1st in a £300 BH for a buy in of £5.75 the prize was £61.05+£26.49 from 6 HP I got off to a very good start with my second hand being doubled.

forget tournaments today has been a terrible day on cash tables. overall if it weren't for that winning tournament my BR would have toppled. overall the losses from cash tables was -£53.87 even the nl4 got a loss of £5.36 on one table and an action table got one of £9.42. so I finish with a profit of £11.33 mainly thanks to that winning BH my BR is £205 this was a very tough one

had I not had that big slip up mid way into the month I would put this month down as my best one so far.
You are doing really well, and enjoy the games we play. Keep it going mate.
Dunno if you have ever played it before, but it is really good fun!
Hand 2 - I raise bigger pre after a 4x and a call. Bet bigger on a wet flop, again default more than 1/2 pot, and we bet mroe when it's multiway and more when it's really wet (this hand is both)

First hand you 100% have to fold to the shove. You've overplayed AK. You have no draws.... just A high.
Second hand i dont see much wrong with. Continuation bet is fine. Then you pick up flush draw. Im sticking it in too.
3rd hand is just unlucky.

Hand 3 - Standard, unlucky.
