Really good to see you are being aggressive, maybe a bit 2 much so in a couple of the above hands in my opinion, hands 1 and 3.
On the flop in hand 1, we have the flush draw, not even the nut flush draw, the 4 nut flush draw. When they raise, i would just be calling it.
On the turn the way they have played it (it's never a flush) it's either a set or 2 pair, i would just ship the turn after the re-raise. In the end unlucky.
Hand 3 i prefer to just check the turn. Betting pot is to much in my opinion, a 60% bet would have achieved the same goal, as in if they were going to fold (to your bluff) then 60% would have done the job just as good as a pot sized bet.
Hand 2's a tough one, just UL there junk smacked the flop, when you see this aggression at 4nl its normally atleast 2 pair.
my first session today has been better than recent days not in a way as such where I am winning lotsbut more a case I am now seeming to know when to fold.
I spent 2 hours overall on 5 tables and they came to a winnings of £5.30 made up of +£8.03 +£0.03 +£0.43 - £0.79 and -£2.40
the big hands were £3.38 sorry it was you who had suffered it Larson I guess what you could have believed was I had you on a flush draw maybe the clinic might help UL but mate. £2.57 £1.43 £1.24 £1.01
when I have suffered a week of nothing but the tiniest wins and massive losses, never would I expect to have achieved what I did today.
the first session got me off to a very good start but things didn't finish their.
my second session got table outcomes of £11.72 £7.41 £5.82 -£0.30 I only suffered one bad table which got a loss of -£2.51 but overall that session finished with a winnings total of £22.14
my final session this evening didn't go quite as well but the main thing is it still finished as profit the table outcomes were £3.51 £5.23 £5.04 £0.49 I suffered 3 losses including 1 fairly big one the losses were -£0.52 -£6.17 and -£2.48 so that session finished as a winnings of £5.10
I still was making mistakes with some monster hands
the minute he raised I should have just jammed if he has got a set fine but I wasted my chance overall to win big.

having did a pot size bet I decided myself to just make the call thinking I am in position and if I raised the flop and he shoves I will be left drawing to the straight and who's to say he hasn't got a QQ himself. when he checked the turn I got a bit suspicious thinking he is either going to check raise or was holding KK-QQ so I decided to check back had it been a spade I might have bet the turn but I took the free card instead thinking a straight like mine could be hard to spot. then when the 3rd diamond came and he checked I did a bluff which did work but he responded calling me a donk chaser. but the thing I fealt was he did a full pot bet on the flop so any raise and i'm going to be jammed then on the turn the A might have allowed me to semi bluff but I decided to take the free card insteadas he might still call the turn with his premium if he had it.
what a awful day it has been for me tonight all I can say now is playing an MTT and cash table at the same time is just no good. also playing on a nl4p and an MS table at the same is also not good especially during the TV hour.
I tried the main and mini plus 2 DYM and only won 10 for a cost of £26.50 I did try from a few sats £0.60p x 5
the cash tables well they were ok at NL 4 but not so good on the MS with a total MS table loss of -£34.79 the nl4 won me £6.35 these are just rough guesses the BR is £40.75
the biggest part of the problem I think came because nl4 is the difference it has with folds and aggression the MS tables were quite passive still but they were also tight preflop so what I couldn't do was just build my chip stack up from 3betting followed by cbets which would get folds which is how things usually go on nl4
the bet I did on this river was a way in which I thought well in case he raised the flop with Qx he will then I can still perhaps get value as I would be thinging he will most likely jam with a 3rd 10 but to my surprise he folds

but the big difference is the risks that villians take post flop. here I should have just raised the flop because unlike the nl4 here villians will not let the 3rd heart scared them too much especially if they hold the Ah in their hand
passive villians were dominating me today so it cost me dear and I think it's the final straw.
I deposited £30 today and have posted some hand into the clinic asking for advice on bet sizing post flop that will punish them who think they can trap me.
I tried 2 sats today for the main event but didn’t have any success in them
I did do 2 5.50 DYM and won both although the second one was played in bit of an odd way where I w
After the bad time I had on Tuesday and Wednesday on the cash I decided to just play 4 tables rather than the 5 or 6 I play, I was thinking things were returning to winning ways. The first session was very quick so with outcomes 62p 18p and -12p X2
In my second session their was one table that stood out because as well as the usual limpers it also had a loose agro and so I got a decent win of £7.54 as for the other tables they got me £0.15 £0.14 -£0.77 and -£1.83
Then I had a hour and a half break before my last session and that was when it went wrong with table losses of £0.56 £2.72 £0.89 £3.23 and £6.02 the only winning was £1.82
So the overall loss today was -7.83 and the BR is £29.80
sometimes mind I don't know why I do it. truthfully I think that I have taking things a step too far and making calls a bit too often because their have been a few hands in the last two weeks that have had this sort of mistake.
this hand when he bet then shipped the turn it looked very likely that he had a set it was the first thing that came into my head and was saying to myself fold.

it might seem like i was being results orientated but really it was the way he played the hand.
also i think i have been too aggro with fluss and straight draws causing the poor hands to fold leaving me to need to hit.
today saw what looked quite a decent day turn awful. the reason as to why things turn bad was a villain in the super sat for the main event thought it would be a good idea to donk bet getting me to fold and caused the villain who was short stack to gain a place into the main when what should have happened was he should have went out early and i ended up 15th in it. if that wasn't bad enough i also saw the same silliness in a DYM when a short stack managed to survive thanks to a sill donk bet that got made and that short stack villain actually had 4 who ganged up on him so stood little chance of winning had the donkey been capable of just checking and they to finish it all off i got into a very difficult spot with A8s because yet again the board had limpers so when i decided to check the flop comes A23 so i do a bet the limpers fold but what happens the SB reraised and showed a set.
i knew then that i needed a break so took one and what i hope is by posting that hand into the clinic it will make the decision get easier rather than being results orientated.
i did feel much calmer after that post and returned to cash where things were good the cash tables today were winnings totals of £1.46 £0.68 £1.81 £2.51 £2.02 £1.68 £1.28 and £0.99 the only losses were -£1.28 and -£2.30
the MTT they were -£10.38 and SnG -£16.50 my overall loss was -£18.38 but weather i could have had profit of atleast £5.05 if that villain didn't donk bet i won't know.
i did put £30 in because i was going to bet on England but didn't i didn't know they played today so missed it
Craig...hand 1 we always get our money in here. Always. Not getting our money in would be bad.
Hand 2. Well I wouldn't be limping in like the rest, but if we are going to play it that way then there is no real reason to raise the flop, it's difficult to represent anything other than a draw when we do this. We have position too so can potentially steal on the turn/hit our hand and bet for value. As played we've just bloated a limped pot with a K high draw vs 2 villains, no real need for it.
the only way really that i would not be able to put him on a set but is if he were to do this with his over pairs as well and it was because i had no notes saying how he played over pairs that i decided to call that hand.
had success in a sat and what happens cursed by aces

this is the final whistle and them carers will have to just accept it when I decide to stay up late because I know the best chance to make money in cash is late in the night especially Friday and Saturday.
today has been a good day of poker not only with cash but also SnG overall I won £3.50 from SnG -£1.18 from MTT timed and with cash tables won £1.12 £9.74 £0.05 £0.52 and -£0.40 did have a go on the master cash as today they seemed to not have as many big stacks HH was £11.57 £11 £10.95 £5.10 £3.28 £2.97 £2.80 £2.76 £1-£2 9 hands losses -£17.13 -£6.56 -£5 -£4.55 -£3.38 -£1-£2 10 hands some of my main questions I am thinking is weather or not I was still to weak with bets
if I am going to call the jam post flop really I am thinking if i should have just jammed it in right away or would that have scared the other villians away more easily

i think i might have got this flop and turn bet the wrong way what i am thinking is i should have just did a large bet on the flop because if it is a flush straight or KQ he holds then i might as well try my biggest bet when their is still the chance he puts me on QQ.

finally i am thinking this hand could have been wasting value what i was doing is on the flop and turn i was trying to represent AK or KQ i did wonder if he might have the 33 on the flop but once the second 3 came on the turni ruled out 33 or atleast considered it very unlikely so when he reraised i struggled to put him on any hand so having hit my straight on the river i decided to try and make it look like a bluff being that i missed the draw but as it turned our he actually was holding that nut flush draw and having thought about it because of a raise preflop and on the flop then a bet call on the turn it when i then jammed it on the river i think it helped him fold his Axs as my jam could be all kinds from AK KK 1010 AcQc AcJc or even A10s
luck just was not on my side today, SnG lost me £8.80 (3X£1.15 4X60p 1X30p 1X55p 1X5.50 hi lo) I did with 2 50p+10p DYM 1 £1+15pDYM and 1 £2+15p DYM hi lo
the thing I have starting to thing is happening now is all that nonsence over big stack wins and rigged in BBV has caused loads of villians to start acting stupid

again I am OOP so his calling range might be larger as he could bluff plus it was close to the end BR £52.71
after a bad SnG day on Wednesday, I decided to go back onto cash today and i had 5 losses and 2 wins normally that would result in a loss but today i still got a profit of £2.86 as the loosing tables were not bad apart from 1 Nl4 which got £6.14 lost and while them tables seemed to suffer i had on table which had big focus, an action table and i finish with a profit of £10.23 from that one. the tables were losses £0.40 £1.35 £0.96 £0.36 and £6.14 (1ACT 1 NL8 and 3NL4) the two wins were £10.23 and £1.99 (1NL4 1ACT) and so my BR is £55.57
their was a few hands i was disappoint with my play today
i should not have even called the turn because if i put him on a set then i was dead so i should be calling this river any day as the A is what i should have him on
after a rough spell with poker maybe now things will be getting back on track. I didn't have much luck with the primo after satteliting in for £2.60, the mini primo and the £100 deep stack were not very good either but having decided to multi table on 4 cheap MTT's at once I just remained calm and managed to get onto the final table of a £400 BH where things went well right from the start, on the final table itself i finished 5th with a prize of £20.46+£11.01 from 9 heads. This is the second day in a row that I have got onto the final table of a MTT yesterday it happened on the £230 Bh my overall profit from MTT was £19.11 and I have started to find it is more calm when I have a few MTT's going together rather than mixing cash and MTT.
while the MTT went well the cash was up down. I had a good session in the afternoon with £8.61 £4.43 and £0.49 won from the tables. then I decided to try the MS tables and they saw -£-13.73 and -£6.76 a lot came from trappers and chasers. I had on last nl4p cash session with 5 tables and they got £4.24 £3.34 -£1.29 -£0.78 and -£1.44. overall I got a loss of -£2.89
Today was cash tables only and I had 3 session this evening each with 1 hours breaks.
My first one had the best Winning table: loosing table ratio and the biggest profit of the day. their was 3 table profits of £8.26, £3.66 and £0.87 and the only loosing table was a loss of -£5.24. As for the tables they were all nl4
The second session was worst of them all with not 1 but of today worst table losses and they were -£10.52 and -£7.42 both from action tables, luckily enough it also had the biggest table profit of the day and that was £15.32 from an action table too and their was a nl8 table profit of £2.52.
my 3rd session had the worst P/L table ratio and saw only 2 table profits of £8.06 (nl10) and £0.25 (nl8), their were 4 tables with losses and but unlike the 2nd session these losses were the smallest of the day and were losses of -£0.74 (act) -£1.8 (act) -£1.26 (nl4) and -0.78 (nl4). although their was 6 table in that session part of the reason was that I switched 2 times.
I did try 1 all in sat that cost £1.80 but didn't make it through to the MTT.
overall today was a profit of £9.38 and my BR is now £78.48 I would have listed my hands but don't hand time. trappers caught me out sometimes
i didn't have time to write up Tuesday as i needed an early sleep but, it wasn't that good a day and i think i should stay away from the MS tables for now because they cost me dear that day and i dropped down to a BR of £31.
today didn't start off too well with some heavy loosing tables of -£5.86 -£7.04 and -£4.33 plus a loss of -31p. so all the good winnings of £3.26 £4.12 and £3.43 ended up wasted and was in loss. it get recovered with 2 tables i had while playing a FR them two tables won £2.85 and £2.53.
the last session i had was much better, it did suffer 1 big loss of -£6.56 and a smaller one of -£1.32 but, i just continued playing since i had 1 table (action table) i finished on a profit of £10.04, but i was sometimes thinking i would never leave as it always seemed to have calls when i want calls and folds when i wanted folds. i did have another decent profit from a nl4 of £4 plus a small one nl4 profit of 25p, but every little helps.
so my day finish with an overall profit of £5.06 and the BR grew to £36.29
things at the minute seem to be at a stand still even with cash i am starting to now think i should just do pot size bets every time i have a decent hand or draw as their is more chance of England winning the next world cup than a villain doing a bet with it's risks. i am now doing a sheet which will basically show me where they fold also i 'm starting to compare the number of hands they had called or weak bet to the number of hands they big bet. in a way i should hae known this was trips myself

my table winnings themselves were £1.33 £4.22 £5.21 £10.63 £1.09 and 6p the losses were £1.16 £2.22 £0.41 £8.39 £0.58 and £5.26. I did enter the mini today as well but i failed.
overall i lost 98p. so my BR is now £35.31
one thing i am starting to question is do some villians think that i am poor because of the sharkscope, one certainly thought so and said it in the chat box today. i may have a loss of £980 on that sharkscope but what they probably don't know is my deposit onto sky is just £480 so we could say i should be in profit of £500 had i decided to never both with MTT.
as it's already nearly one i will just make it quick one. i had 2 sessions with 5 tables open as i was more tighter although i did still pull a few bluffs.
the first session saw profit of 41p £7.13 and £4.87. the losses were £1.43 and £2.42
my second session had 7 tables 5 at once changed 2 the winning tables had profit of £5 £1.70 £1.63 and £3.02, as for the losses they were £5.94 £4.05 and 40p.
Saturday just wasn't my day for luck this week and cost me some awful losses including one of £13 and another loss of £8 only 1 table saw much good at all the others were either starting bad before they went good or never even started. my BR has finished on £32.75. instead of the tables i will give a score maniacs and CS 9-6 myself and Saturday seems far to dangerous for cbets must be tighter
the nl4 now seem to lack the calling stations which were about at the start of the year. the tables now seem to contain the sort who want cheap streets and tight passive post flop. the thing about that is I've been taking my aggression too far and it has caused a poor time even on cash tables, so I have decided that the next 2 months will have no more than 1 big target.
BECOME CAPIBLE OF DECENT BANKROLL MANAGEMENT AGAIN.
today i managed to get into the mini through a freeroll but it didn't go that well and i'm thinking i should have just registered for it before the freeroll ended then cancel the registry and get myself a £5 winninga it was a rebuy and all i would want to play at the minute is the BH or deep stack MTT so i lost 50p from and add on in MTT.
i did have a few SnG and they all went well with each getting me past the bubble. 2 were 50p+10p DYM and 1 was a £1+10p six max and i won all three so the profit i got was £3.60 (40p x2 and £2.80)
As for cash well that started off poor and cost me dearly. the first 2 sessions saw mostly losses and those were -£5.81 -£9.77 -£0.82 -£1.77 and -£1.93 them session only got 2 winning tables and they were £3.91 and £2.41 so i suffered a total loss of -£13.78
In my last session i decided to try it with a difference and played with some music and all through that session i fealt so relaxed and it finished with all 4 tables getting good profits of £1.43 £2.02 £5.89 £2.93.
my day as a whole was cash table -£1.51 MTT -50p SnG £3.60 so i have finished with £1.59 profit and points were 115 BR £29.15
Haven't you always used good BRM Craig? Definitely don't think you need to dedicate 2 months to something that really is very straight forward.
Just say to yourself, under no circumstances am I going to play....
A DYM with less than X BIs Cash with less than X BIs An MTT with less than X BIs A HU SnG with less than X BIs A satellite with less than X BIs (yes you shouldn't use the same BI rule for MTTs as Sats)
And do it. Job is a good 'un.

What is it you're struggling with at 4NL recently? If you're finding you get called down too much when bluffing then maybe you need to lay off the bluffing. I'd focus on taking good notes on players and actually using them. Like I have notes on some players that just say 'will NOT fold any pr postflop'... that's enough to know
1) We do NOT want to bluff this player 2) We want to value bet thinly (with weaker hands) more against this player cos we can now legitimately value bet TPNK or 2nd pr.
Comments
Nice hand, the only person to stack me!
I spent 2 hours overall on 5 tables and they came to a winnings of £5.30 made up of +£8.03 +£0.03 +£0.43 - £0.79 and -£2.40
the big hands were

when I have suffered a week of nothing but the tiniest wins and massive losses, never would I expect to have achieved what I did today.
the first session got me off to a very good start but things didn't finish their.
my second session got table outcomes of £11.72 £7.41 £5.82 -£0.30 I only suffered one bad table which got a loss of -£2.51 but overall that session finished with a winnings total of £22.14
my final session this evening didn't go quite as well but the main thing is it still finished as profit the table outcomes were £3.51 £5.23 £5.04 £0.49 I suffered 3 losses including 1 fairly big one the losses were -£0.52 -£6.17 and -£2.48 so that session finished as a winnings of £5.10
I still was making mistakes with some monster hands
the minute he raised I should have just jammed if he has got a set fine but I wasted my chance overall to win big.

what a awful day it has been for me tonight all I can say now is playing an MTT and cash table at the same time is just no good. also playing on a nl4p and an MS table at the same is also not good especially during the TV hour.
I tried the main and mini plus 2 DYM and only won 10 for a cost of £26.50 I did try from a few sats £0.60p x 5
the cash tables well they were ok at NL 4 but not so good on the MS with a total MS table loss of -£34.79 the nl4 won me £6.35
these are just rough guesses the BR is £40.75
the biggest part of the problem I think came because nl4 is the difference it has with folds and aggression
the MS tables were quite passive still but they were also tight preflop so what I couldn't do was just build my chip stack up from 3betting followed by cbets which would get folds which is how things usually go on nl4
the bet I did on this river was a way in which I thought well in case he raised the flop with Qx he will then I can still perhaps get value as I would be thinging he will most likely jam with a 3rd 10 but to my surprise he folds
here I should have just raised the flop because unlike the nl4 here villians will not let the 3rd heart scared them too much especially if they hold the Ah in their hand
I deposited £30 today and have posted some hand into the clinic asking for advice on bet sizing post flop that will punish them who think they can trap me.
my BR is £37.01
Ever tried playing 1 or 2 less tables?
Sometimes i find that if i drop a couple of tables it's easier to guage what is happening.
Like when some1 min bets (you think there weak) you raise and they shove. Or the people that min raise, and are weak and will fold to aggression.
Playing less tables it's easier to pick up on these things.
You posted a hand in the clinic, you had aces and bet 26 into 64p, they hut there gut shot on the turn. With your really strong hands just bet big.
truthfully I think that I have taking things a step too far and making calls a bit too often because their have been a few hands in the last two weeks that have had this sort of mistake.
this hand when he bet then shipped the turn it looked very likely that he had a set it was the first thing that came into my head and was saying to myself fold.
also i think i have been too aggro with fluss and straight draws causing the poor hands to fold leaving me to need to hit.
today saw what looked quite a decent day turn awful. the reason as to why things turn bad was a villain in the super sat for the main event thought it would be a good idea to donk bet getting me to fold and caused the villain who was short stack to gain a place into the main when what should have happened was he should have went out early and i ended up 15th in it. if that wasn't bad enough i also saw the same silliness in a DYM when a short stack managed to survive thanks to a sill donk bet that got made and that short stack villain actually had 4 who ganged up on him so stood little chance of winning had the donkey been capable of just checking and they to finish it all off i got into a very difficult spot with A8s because yet again the board had limpers so when i decided to check the flop comes A23 so i do a bet the limpers fold but what happens the SB reraised and showed a set.
i knew then that i needed a break so took one and what i hope is by posting that hand into the clinic it will make the decision get easier rather than being results orientated.
i did feel much calmer after that post and returned to cash where things were good the cash tables today were winnings totals of £1.46 £0.68 £1.81 £2.51 £2.02 £1.68 £1.28 and £0.99 the only losses were -£1.28 and -£2.30
the MTT they were -£10.38 and SnG -£16.50
my overall loss was -£18.38 but weather i could have had profit of atleast £5.05 if that villain didn't donk bet i won't know.
i did put £30 in because i was going to bet on England but didn't i didn't know they played today so missed it
BR £42.35
the only way really that i would not be able to put him on a set but is if he were to do this with his over pairs as well and it was because i had no notes saying how he played over pairs that i decided to call that hand.

some of my main questions I am thinking is weather or not I was still to weak with bets
if I am going to call the jam post flop really I am thinking if i should have just jammed it in right away or would that have scared the other villians away more easily
the thing I have starting to thing is happening now is all that nonsence over big stack wins and rigged in BBV has caused loads of villians to start acting stupid
I also lost -8.80 on MTT but I let myself down in a timed one with this
BR £52.71

I'd focus on taking good notes on players and actually using them. Like I have notes on some players that just say 'will NOT fold any pr postflop'... that's enough to know
1) We do NOT want to bluff this player
2) We want to value bet thinly (with weaker hands) more against this player cos we can now legitimately value bet TPNK or 2nd pr.
