after a disapointing week of poker i seem to be getting back to winning ways again after taking a break on friday

after two hours on the tables i have now almost got my bankroll back towards the hundred mark (£96)
on the tables i got two losses of 80p and 3.98 but made up for them with profits of £7.35 £1.08 £5.59 95p and 63p
hand wise i not once got a loss over £2 the ones i did get were 1.72 1.69 1.42 1.38 and 1.12

if the villians are going to fold why are they betting and calling in the first place?

I dont think its as much "didn't understand they are behind"

I think its more they see their cards, AT,TT whatever and just have no intention of folding. I keep saying, weekend players just give no consideraion to what other people might have. They just get it in and see what happens.

How come you only at £100 odd roll? you always seem to be doing well.

some of my losses have came from tourneys i.e that mini i entered today which i lost all my chips when that villian called with A8o and hit the flush i did have a very heavy loss earlier this week when lots of villians were calling with rubbish and hit the card they needed on the river so my bankroll become about £60 but now i have managed to get it back to £92 thanks to a decent night session after then few upsets.

after a run where i lost heavily on some cash tables at 6pm i had a short break and recovered in my final session.
i did suffer some losses but was tiny compared to profit.
the losses were £3.25 £7.93 62p 99p and 35p
the profits i make were £12.79, 5p £3.77, 62p £5.37 £9.63 and 46p
so if it weren't for that bad run where i got heavy losses i would probably be £120 now

I know i am behind here but it costs me 2.87 into a pot of over 10, so i think folding is just not an option.

two things should stand out here
1. you are reraise right away
2. the original raiser then shoves and the caller also shoves so you are more than likely chasing a flush as atleast on of them will hold premium pair and i will most certainly have held AK or AQ if not a premium pair JJ+ myself so neither an A or 10 would save you only a flush would have.
but it would not have made any differance really because even if you had folded i would still have lost all of it because of that calling station with 1010 who not once raised.

most the hands here are clearly a case of either me c-betting my pair or the villian donking 4p which i consider no differant to a check.

this session has been quite poor and boring with bets hardly ever being made until the nuts are hit or if they are not for nuts they shoving right away making me feel like i need to set mine every pair fold my over pairs or bet mincro to get calls
so i have lost quite a lot
i got losses of £9.04 74p 22p £3.90 and £1.05
my profits were 58p and £2.00

i just want to forget about that other hand because now i starting to feel as though KK or QQ are more weaker than AKs because villians like yourself and that guy above with A* just don't know when to fold an A so i feel as if i just have to call with my KK and then if i see an A i right away will avoid a big loss so my new second best hand could be AK followed by AQ as they will be much better against you ace addicts

at the minute tourney and cash seem to get me in totally differant directions because while i do awful in tourney and keep getting bad beats in cash games i'm finding it much easier to remain calm weather it has anything to do with multi tabling i don't know but it just is much better than the tourneys are.

How many tables do you play on at one time btw? I do 3 atm, can't see how i would be able to manage more than that lol.

i usually play 6 tables at once with as i can fit them all on the screen and with me being tight genrally their is between 1-2 maybe 3 hands being played at the same time.

Ah i see, how do you manage to be able to read players/make notes on players etc if you are playing that many tables at once? It's the one thing i struggle with, i make a note every now and again but most of the time i haven't a clue haha.

one table alone got me £9 with some very good hands
overall my tables got me 1 loss of £3.26
and profits of £1.86 £9.34 £2.39 £1.91 and £3.02

I think the 88 was badly played, against one player you are hardly ever dominating anything (very very rarely they will have a lower PP) more often than not you will be a coinflip at best. And against 2 players this is a fold and be very happy about it moment.

Would you have shipped it in a cash game? if not then why is a tourney any different?

well i think i've learned my lesson now i think i was going in a bit too quick with my hands TBH and made it a coin flip too much out of all them i think only the KK and 222 are meant to be losses. after all that bad play i managed to win a£750BH finishing first place some of my best hands were these
instead of shoving preflop i called and waited for the flop then got my J and got a bet so i thought right the head prize is availible top pair top kicker raggy board and it will be hard to fold so i will use this as a chance to steal all his chips because if he had an over pair i would expect him to raise preflop.

i have now i think learned why i was making them mistakes.
it was with me playing casg tables as well. the reaon i think that after doing so well i make a big mistake in my BH which happened just after i lost big thanks to a calling station.
i will have to stop doing both at once.
