I havent played any for a while due to the cash champ promo. The only reason i played a cpl yesterday was because there is another challenge on PLO DYM,s in poker chat section ( by Jock BMW)

I,d say it depends what your record is like in DYM,s and how many you have played . I,d try and beat the £5 DYM,s first over a consistent period.
i very rarerly play £10 and above games due to BR , but when i do especially in DYM,s i tend to to use sharkscope and select the games i want to play in as you could find yourself up against 5 regs

Another tip would be to read John Connors blog on DYM,s. I presume its still there and gives a good guide from a constant winner at this format on how best to maximise your chances 

Of course it also depends how many tables your playing at once. There was a diary in poker chat by "Devonfish" who spent months grinding the low stakes DYM,s and was very succesful at it . He,d be better qualified than me to give you advice on DYM,s

Decided to play an MTT for a change - so late regd for the £400gtd - £2 rebuy - Took a rebuy and addon for £6.40 but as we are now on brk i made it to the FT albeit in 5th place - although was from 130 runners so cant complain - will upadte when finished

Thought i was done for when down to to 3 and my q8s vs 10 8 off got rivered by a str8 AIPF, but held on

Decided to have a quick go on the Omaha challenge in GPC by playing 4 micro DY,ms togethor amd hoping to win all 4 EDIT : only played 1 due to tables not filling up quickily enough)

A dissapointing night after a cpl of MTT,s - Last game was £3 rebuy - no rebuys - no add ons and with 3 left had half the chips and still came 3rd - will post esults and add up tommorow

I did win a seat into Thursday nights mini BH for a post on the showthread so might have to satelite into the main as well.

Found myself sat nxt to chrisdboy on a £10 BH - I went out on aces - His dbld up but glad to see it . He,d just been a bad beat away from the Biggie - 10k jacpot for winning main and min - won mini - 2nd in the main  - had some bd bt5s as well - lost k 10 vs Q 10 for JP . I,ll never moan about a bad beat again

The reason i won a seat into Thursdays Mini Bounty Hunter was for a question regarding notes. I ,m still waiting for even 1 pm as i wasasking if anyone wanted to swap notes. I,d just be intrigued to find out what other ppl have on me and if the notes are similar from person to person.

EDIT : Ended up not playing tonight. Just spent a while reading some of the other diarys in poker chat. Wish i could play HU turbo,s , but feel its something i need to improve on a lot before being able to make money off them. Theres some ppl making good money out of them on here tho

What a gr8 way to finish the month or start of a new month 

FEBRUARY

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS

If it ain,t broke don,t fix it, which basically means i won,t be doing to much different this month, but i would like to play a few more satelites and some PLO when i get the chance on here. With the JP on the main and mini changing structure its the perfect time to try sateliting in to some of the main events as i,ve rarely played any since starting this diary

I,ll keep an eye on the promos and keep looing for value. Just registered for the Offordable leaugue which is every week for just £3 in a 10 max game

I,ll also be looking atthe PLO or PLO8 DYM challenge although there are some pretty good scores up already

Another goal is away from the tables in the form of reading the poker books i have, which is easier said than done as i,m dyslexic and struggle sometimes to read a lot. I have to go over it several times before it sinks in
GL for February everyone

Hi MP33 - never ventured into this part of the forum before but congrats on a successful diary.

I wondered on the forums when I first came back to Sky whether notes could be accessible on request, given they must be stored on the Sky servers... would love to see what others think of my dodgy plays!

I have nothing to offer you unfortunately, other than vague notes about you being a competent player. I'm surprised to read that you are playing so much NL4 because I thought you were a NL10 player at least, if not a NL20 player that had dropped down to have a play as part of the Cash Champ promo... better player than me either way!

Anyway, phenomenal bank roll growth, it's what I aim to replicate myself from a £20 starting point. Keep meaning to start a thread of my own to use as a way of (hopefully) improving myself to make that a reality.

Out of interest, you mentioned a bit of poker reading - what books have you got / any good tips to share from your learning?

Good luck with making it to Vegas, an admirable aim!

I,d definately reccomend you do  a diary. The hardest thing is posting your losses but you get used  it. i found it it the best way to motervate myself to actually play more

As for boks i,m not ther best reader in the world and have barely started on Jahred Tendlers one ( even forgotton the name of it )

But one i have got into is "1 hand at a time" volume 2 . I haven,t read vol.1 although a mtes got it for me to lend. But its just MTT,s. Vol1 from the start to the bubble and vol 2 from the cash to the win and it explains it in 3 parts from 3 online pros and they go through their hands a bit like gus hansens one hand at a time until they win it . I,ve read chapter 2- 3 times now

Just hit a bit of a downswing and then 1st thing i see on the news today - Jermaine Defoe out for 3 weeks - Got about £8 on him for top season goalscorer, which reminds me i do a bit of other gambling as well - mainly where theres offers available and stuff which reminds me about a recent thing i was told off.
" A little flaw on the exchanges to making some safe money. Only a bit but gonna give it a trial and if it works i,ll post it on here"  - It might take up some time as well

Anyway just ask away if you got any more questions - always glad to help -Where did you finish up in the cash champ chalenge ?  I know you were on most of the tables for long periods - bet u got a nice bonus

I'm surprised to read that you are playing so much NL4 because I thought you were a NL10 player at least, if not a NL20 player that had dropped down to have a play as part of the Cash Champ promo... better player than me either way! Anyway, phenomenal bank roll growth, it's what I aim to replicate myself from a £20 starting point. Keep meaning to start a thread of my own to use as a way of (hopefully) improving myself to make that a reality. Out of interest, you mentioned a bit of poker reading - what books have you got / any good tips to share from your learning? Good luck with making it to Vegas, an admirable aim! Mike

Other way round - Hadn,t see you on the tables realy until cash champ. I,ve tried NL10 before and failed but beleive i,m pretty safe there now and results are picking up as i get to know the othert players , and i,ll generally the 10p aciton but still struggling as i can only get 4 screens and also i like to mix it up wioth satelites and MTT,s - DYM,s . PLO, -
 
I play NL4 now and again but there good for getting over downswings .Anything apart from PLO8

Only played for an hour or so on the Nl10 mainly , but pleased with the session as i only really made 1 mistake which did cost me nearly a buy in but went for a gamble when calling an allin chasing the flush with 1 pair. I knew i was behind and its an easy fold really, but apart from that played well

Cheers Rancid - No Nl20 yet. Got to be beating NL10 more regularly first. If you see me at a NL20 table its probably coz theres a fish somewhere i,ve been following
