    @ Lambert - Cheers - Not going to Nottingham but will be at Newcastle for definate if your there. Questions always welcome on this thread ( and advice for that matter)

    1/ Poker goals for the future would be to keep trying to improve and stay a winning player (over time) as its also my favourite hobby now and want to play as long as possible. ( w/o it costing me anything). Also to try and play more satelites for bigger events. I,ve played a few on here recently for £30 - £55 games but seem to fall short every time.

    2/ Its a good question which has been asked before but i often find me asking myself this question. I,ve looked backed over this thread a cpl of times and all the evidence points towards MTT,s (even though they are small stakes). Its also what i enjoy to play most and am in profit on my other sites accross all MTT,s.
    As for cash - I didn,t play it for the 1st year or 2 ( apart from FL ) , and it has taken a while to get used to. 
    Thats why i,m only generally only playing up to Nl10 with the odd shot at NL20, as i,m not as confident and this is where i need to look at improving my game. 
    I know you,ve done a lot of work at trying to improve your cash game from reading your diary and thats one of the good things about diarys on here. There all different and if you follow them you can always pick up bits of advice to suit your game, and in cash i need it. When i play players like DTM i know im beat by the river but i constantly pay him off just to see what he had- why do i do that?
    ps - i,m useless at HU - cash and STT. DYM,s ok, but they were a lot easier when they 1st came out and as you know the winrate you have to get to make long term profits after rake has to be v good.


    3/ lol . This is one of those questions that if i answered it right now i,d end up re-editing 10 mins later when i think of something else so i,ll come back to this one : TBH tho haven,t watched a film in a while and am even considering getting rid of my TV as it doesn,t get used anymore. Same old tosh all the time

    EDIT - 10 mins later and that is a hard question, but in no particular order

    Thx again Paige and for your nomination in TOTP and also to Jac35

    Was pretty shocked but pleasantly suprised to look on the thread and see 2 noms for my thread. 

    Ive probably blown my chances tho by challenging Smitalos and trying to hold him to account from some of his comments, although i think he gets a buzz out of it really and i,ve just been honest in criticising his style of posting, and anyone who knows me on here will know i v.rarely criticise anyone (But its all good - were both pretty thick skinned and haven,t got into any slanging matches. - yet - but thats not my style )

    Lamberts questions were good although the last one a little tricky. 

    There was a film on earlier called 300 which i first watched when it came out. Its loosely based on a true story of the 300 Spartans lead by Leonadis to fight against the Prussian Army with over a million men. Gotta be up there in the mix - brilliant film

    Then again i also watched Connair for the first the other night. A great cast, great storyline but a serious letdown by being way to far fetched and predictable

    Anyway - I,ll be updating my thread with some new goals and targets for August and hoping its a good month.

    I,ve knocked £5.50 off my roll as i miscalculated my last  (also played and lost a £5 DYM which wasn,t showing in my results)

    I,m going away in the morning for a few days to spend some time with my family as its my 40th on Friday and got lots of relatives coming up on the Saturday so i won,t be online during that time (apart from the STT for TOTP which i,ve been lucky enough to get picked for - hopefully 2nd time lucky although its a good field and should be a good game)

    We would get on well I think!
    My choices of film would be very very similar.


    Might throw in Apocolypse Now, Casino, Carlitos Way, From Dusk till Dawn, American History X. Obviously The Inbetweeners as well.
    Watched The Shawshank Redemption again the other day. Forgotten just how it good it was.
    True Romance is hugely underrated.
    Do like The Godfather but as is pretty much always the case, the book is on another level entirely.

    Was a shame about the TOTP on that night . Had been on the champers and it was a bit busier than i thought it would be

    Back to tonight and although i,m up can,t help been a little defltated in the £5.75 BH - Down to 4 with a big chip lead and got it all in with kq vs jq to lose then alll in on flop when ahead with an aces vs q but oppo turned a 2 and hit 2 pair so came 3rd in the end

    DTD games didn,t go to well or the £2 rebuy but definately looking at playing more MTT,s this months and sats

    Hardly played this month ( 2 sessions) so no targets or goals. Just to try and get back into it. Spent a lot of money this month and could do with getting some back now

    Back again  Kind of had a month off  

    Got about 130 pts and not played much elsewhere but am planning on spending more time in September on playing more and even going to try a bit more reading.. I did play in the main tonight through a satelite - Got a min cash but not sure if this was a shove? It was the Turbo and very active table 

    (Cant posi it - will try again tommorow)

    I,ll have to go back and update roll although its about the same

    Tilted abit at cash last night and although i was only playiung 3 x 5p/10p (£3 max) i managed to lose about 6 buy ins - won a cpl of £5 DYMJ,s but can,t get results up

    These are from today tho ( I have manged to get refund on the 2.40 and 5.50 as i missed all of one game and half of the other although i,ve now ended up on the break in the £5  £200 gtd HU with a slight lead - Still pretty deep tho so i,ll update after

    I,ll update my roll soon but i think i,m around 1600 but hardly playing .

    A slightly different post tonight which puts poker into perspective 


     Did go to my local pub leaugue tho as i haven,t been a few weeks and got a bit of a shock as i found out one of the regulars had passed away this morning - Heart attack - totally out of the blue ( DOA )

    He,d played in there twice a week over the years i,ve been going in and although we had the odd disagreement on the poker table ( splitting pots esp). we got on well and he was a sound bloke. Tonights game went ahead in the end and over 20 players payed + extra  to play for free, even one or 2 people who didn,t know him - i,m sure the money will go to good use.

    Manged to get in top 50 for a min cash - currently 17th from 30 - fingers crossed
