In Response to Re: Tournament Leader Board 2015 (Charity Prop Bet, Get Involved!) : Nice one Gareth! When's your next live event? Cheers, Graham Posted by StayOrGo
I actually went to one yestrday in the Hippodrome in Leicester Sq, was a £275 2 day event, but somehow went out on a A104 board with 1010 vs AK, all in on the flop, when he hit runner runner Broadway for a 3x avergae stack pot near the end of the day.... But I am playing the £770 UKIPT event in Bristol in 2 weeks, then of course the Sky UKPC in three weeks .
Hi guys. I wanted to get your thoughts on the two trophies. My plan for the two competitions is to have a trophy for each that get passed around each year. On them will be engraved, the winners name, alias and amount of profit. Or in the case of the tournament wins comp, the number of points. These trophies will be kept for a year by the winner(s) and passed on to the following year's champion(s). My question is, will this suffice, or should we have a permanent trophy too, that the victor(s) can keep? I don't mind doing both, but if it is just going to "clog up" trophy cabinets, then we can just pass the yearly one around. All feedback greatly appreciated. Cheers, Graham Posted by StayOrGo
I actually think a permanent trophy would be better, only because people might stop playing on the site etc, and it might be difficult to try get in contact with such a person a year later to get the trophy back to pass on.

Thanks Gareth, yes that did cross my mind. However I really like the idea of one that gets passed around. It was more a case of whether we should have a permanent one too.
At golf clubs, for example, they have both, and you sign to say you will return the yearly one. So I think it would be alright as I have everyone's email addresses to contact them, even if they're not longer on the site.
I just think, in years to come, it could be nice to have one trophy with all the names on. You never know, one of you may be a famous pro by then. Hopefully :=)
It also adds a bit of interest to try and beat previous profit/point totals etc.
Along with the above, for personal sentimental reasons, I'd like to have the main "Tim Carter Cup" as a trophy that gets passed around, in memory of my brother.

Yeah would be a cool thing to have in years to come. Maybe then have a small trophy the winner can keep, and then have the permanent one that is passed around?
I think thats a great idea for the name of the cup, and considering I will be the first person to win it...... I would be honoured to be the first name on it :P
I won the 7pm Sunday £55 Freezeout, does that count? Posted by GSmith13
Sorry mate no. just the Main's/Mini's and £55 BH's.
Also for clarification when UKOPS comes around it's the Main/Mini and any Bounty Hunter's £55 or higher. If it is not a Bounty Hunter, Main or Mini even if it is £55 or greater, it doesn't count.
Tommy D's BH win takes us to £1,000 pledged for the tournament wins side comp alone.
Spreadsheets have been updated on the opening post. Gareth still leads, ahead of Matt, Chris and David. Chirs has extended his lead in the Tournament Wins side competition.

Thanks Chris. Just a quick reminder if anyone is prepared to pledge 1% of their UKPC winnings, please post here. GL all at UKPC!
