Hi guys, finished 6th in the PokerFest Mini today, so thought I'd better tot up my pledges from live results.
Nothing spectacular, but the above, a 39th in the UKPC Main and 9th in a 25/25 at Luton earlier in the year, works out to be about £65 to the charity prize pool.
We will be 2/3rds through the year after tonight, so I will update standings/pledges tomorrow.

Saw Graham Carter finished 6th and thought it must be you. Another great result mate - well done.

Thanks Adam. A bit of a case of what might have been. Got it in 88 vs A8. Guy turned and Ace and went on to win.
Very top heavy structure. Winner got £21,000. Played well enough, just didn't run well at the latter stages. A £20K Ace for him as it turned out.

Very unlucky mate. Just seen Skalie won it...lucky and good!
Not to be out done by number one son, Limp2Lose, I managed to keep it in the family and win tonight's 9pm BH despite the best efforts of young prodigy Danny (FeelGroggy) Grogan almost knocking me out in the early stages.
Just wanted to let you charity league guys n galls know that if you any of you want to join...
Bromley04, Bromley023 and rspca12
...as the only players in with a chance of winning the League and Cup double this season then you have until midnight sunday night to enter the HU FA Cup.
a few months ago, you asked me whether i was able to produce a league table for your charity efforts and i replied that i couldn't. things weren't set up to count the main, mini and £55 mtts only. as the weeks have gone by, i have developed my spreadsheets and can now do it.
have a look and tell me if it is something you would benefit from. i can automate the scoring. i can produce it daily. it os accessible to everyone.
you will need to cut and paste the following into your browser (i hesitate to post a link as i do not want to do so until i have heard from tikay that it is ok). c+P the following into the address bar...
PokerSuperHero.com/charity.html
Hopefully it will work. More the point, if it something worthwhile let me know and I will produce it for you daily.
Regards, Rob
PS i notice that Bromley04's total gift is £20 higher than calculating £10 per game. Is this due to live wins?

Whilst it seems so unlikely, I do believe Adam managed a live score!

This is wonderful Rob, please do publish on your website!
I have amended Adam's donation and changed the additional £20 that he has pledged to go on the "Sponsor Spreadsheet" and not the "Competitor Spreadsheet", so all figures should now tie up.
I don't know if you want to add it, but in addition to the "Tournament Wins" donation, each competitor also pledges £50 to the "TLB" competition too. So they each donate a fixed £50 on top of the current figures.
Up to you if you want to incorporate this, however it would be nice to show, just how generous everyone has been!
Thanks again for taking the time to do this, I really appreciate it.

thanks graham.
i have made those changes that you suggest.
it will update automatically on the website every day at around 9am.
Hi Rob, regarding the main TLB competition. I currently just get the figures from Sharkscope. Is this something you can create? If so, how do the figures compare to the Sharkscope figures?
It would be great to have the TLB (Total Profit) league table published on the website too. One other thing, in addition to the "competitor" donations, we have been generously sponsored £1,816 by the good will of other friends of Sky Poker.
If I update you with this figure as it increases, can you incorporate it into a "Total Pledged" figure.

hi graham,
it is there on the website already. pokersuperhero.com/yearprofit.html
all the figures focus on the 5,650 major tournaments on sky poker this year so far that have a guarantee of £500 and over.
with a more precise focus, it is more accurate than sharkscope. more meaningful too.

Thanks Rob. For the TLB "profit" competition we have to go by figures based on all tournaments including satellites as this was what was agreed at the start of the year.
So for this year at least, I think we have to use the sharkscope figures that take all scheduled tournaments into consideration including those with < £500 G and Satellites.
Perhaps we can discuss other options for next year, nearer the time.

Congrats Solack and great job Aussie!
I know I eluded to it before, however is it possible to produce a profit leader board for the 18 players based on all scheduled tournaments. It would be great if you could, then your website will have all the charity aspects covered.
No problem if it is too complex to do.
Also one comment, the current title (Tournament Leader Board 2015 (Charity Prop Bet)) Might be better named:
The Sky Poker Players "Tournament Wins" Charity Shield. (Can use SPP for Sky Poker Players)
The name of the main leader board competition will be:
The Tim Carter TLB Cup.
Many thanks again for all your hard work with this Rob.

hello graham,
i am pleased that SoLack won last night as it added content to the charity webpage. i am even more pleased that SoLack didnt win the MBI but came second. Otherwise I would have been second instead. well played, paul.
The title of the webpage is now changed to the title of your choosing, that is Sky Poker Players "Tournament Wins" Charity Shield.
I have the profit for everyone. however, i choose not to post a complete table showing profit as it will reveal those who are not so profitable. the solution is to produce a top 6 or so. whatever is enough to allow people to avoid anything uncomfortable. although your group of 18 is pretty well the best players and seeing their profit would not be an issue. however, if you are running something next year and wish to expand your numbers i think it would be counterproductive to have a full table of profit and loss. nevertheless, it can be done.
the tournaments are the 20 or so biggest games on Sky Poker every day. I don't look at the £1-£2 games, nor the games that have a guarantee under £500. this is quite deliberate. i want to data to reflect player performance. the numbers are more meaningful and interpretation more reliable when looking at the top 8,000 games every year. i could lower the limit and include the small tournaments but the figures might be distorted. as an extreme example, if i include freerolls you will know that the data will be quite unhelpful. the figures i have remain accurate and illustrate well who is playing the best poker.

Thanks to all involved and all the best for the remaining 4 months, it's sure to go to the wire!
Also well done to my son Gary Carter (Limp2Lose) for winning the £55 Bounty Hunter at 9PM, after qualifying via a satellite.
£20 to the charities!
