I arrive to see Brett in the Big Blind, facing an UTG raise of 2,500.
Brett, at the poker table, does things at his own pace. That's slow. Very slow. Earlier today, he almost had the clock put on him TWICE in one hand. (Just the once in the end).
Eventually, he moves all-in. Which is handy, as I get to know his exact stack size. "Count" or something similar says the angry UTG raiser.
"20,800" says the Dealer.
Mr Angry eventually folds, & so Brett now has 23,200 or so.
With 80 minutes of today's penultimate level remaining, Blinds are 500-1,000/100. Next up, 600-1,200/200, but that's 90 minutes away yet. Posted by Tikay10
I arrive at Brett's table to find his seat vacant, & a noticeable lack of chips in front of his seat. Like, none.
The players on his table know me by now, so they volunteer the story. Did not catch all the details, but villain slow played K-K on an all low board. That's usually bad news.
The table were full of praise for Brett, & how he played his short stack for several hours. I've never met him before this trip, but I must say, he's a smashing kid, polite, well-mannered, respectful, speaks well, & a credit to Sky Poker.
We generally produce 4 or 5 per day. Dan films them, then has to edit them, compress them, upload them & all that stuff.
Then he sends them to Head Office, who Tweet & FB them.
I work sort of separate to them, & first up, take out a shortened link for each one, then I Post that link on Twitter, Sky Poker & another forum. It's not difficult, but it's surprisingly time-consuming & fiddly. I like to do it properly, too, in a consistent manner. Detail, detail, detail.
In the sort of thing that happens a lot in the WSOP main, the gentleman sat next to Martin is wearing a hat that has a miniature umbrella attached to it in the open position. If only he could see himself.
35,000, with one hour of play remaining today. Blinds are 600-1,200/200. In the sort of thing that happens a lot in the WSOP main, the gentleman sat next to Martin is wearing a hat that has a miniature umbrella attached to it in the open position. If only he could see himself. Posted by Tikay10
I assume that's Zach Hall. He's a fairly well known character, he was on the feature table for the early part of ESPN's coverage last year playing alongside Phil Ivey.

Just been across to Martin's table, and his seat is empty.
I cannot say with 100% certainty he is out, but in tournaments of this size, with players busting all over the place, they almost never move individual players, they break whole tables.
Unlucky to all the players who got knocked out on Day 2C, all the qualifier eggs now in Daren's basket
His Day 3 table has now been completed
1 James Bord (GBR) 98000 2 Tyler Witteman (USA) 181400 3 John May (USA) 131100 4 Alex Tran (USA) 194500 5 Andrew Zuzolo (USA) 33400 6 DAREN MORETON (GBR) 27200 7 Alexander Debus (GER) 79400 8 Timothy Buxbaum (USA) 75600 9 Christopher Horter (USA) 91500
I dealt with the even numbered seats yesterday, so for the odd ones (and on average, they have a more impressive poker CV than the evens)
James Bord has been a bit quite of late on the tournament front, but he has one of those bracelet things in his possession after winning the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event the last time it was held in London. This also netted him over £800,000. He also had a 6-figure payday finishing runner-up in a shootout event at the 2011 Aussie Millions.
John May has just 3 Hendon Mob recorded cashes, a 177th in the 2010 Main Event, $7K from an event in New Orleans in 2011 and a cash in a Eureka event held alongside EPT Prague last December
Andrew Zuzolo is a local who has cashes on his record going back to 2004, but with long barren spells included in that. His last 3 recorded tournament cashes were all in the WSOP Millionaire Maker, the highest of those being 9th in 2014. He did win a tournament at Caesars for $66K, but that was nearly seven years ago.
Alexander Debus - you want flags, he's got 'em, with in the money finishes in 9 different countries. He's been in Vegas for at least a month, cashing in Events 28 & 51, making the FT of the latter finishing 4th for $164K. Over his career he as 12 5-figure or better scores, the biggest being $245K for finishing runner-up in an event in Monte Carlo.
Christopher Horter by contrast has all his cashes in the US, a lot of modest ones but 2 of over $10K, 34th for $15K in last year's "droplet" and $23K for runner-up in a tournament at Borgata last November. He too looks like he's been in Vegas for the last month, but his three cashes over that period (only one of which was a WSOP event) come to just over $4K in total.
Good work with the updates guys. Must feel a pretty thankless task doing it while everyone is asleep, but it's nice to read when we rise from our pits.
There was an open to 3,700, flatted, then Daren called, the geezer behind jams, the opener gives it up, next geezer (first flatter) jams & Daren folds.
Daren began today with 27,200, & it is costing 4,200 per orbit (800-1,600/200) & we have played 30 minutes (1.5 orbits or so), so don't think he can limp or peel any more, it's all or nothing.
There is 4,200 of dead money in the middle every hand.

Evening all.
For the record, I was not "taking a nap", I was working out, in the gym.
Pretty sure I'll soon get Brett & Martin up over 100,000 each, just you wait & see.
Sam is currently on his dinner break, I expect him back in the next 4 or 5 hours.
Martin, 40,000.
He is on a table adjacent to Little Danny & Scotty Nguyen, with Phil Hellmuth a few tables away.
Someone has been winding up Hellmuth, who is slowly building a head of pressure, ready to explode at any moment.
Look, I do what I do, you do what you do, OK?
I've won 60 Tournaments, how about you?
Do you know who I am?
If I had the time, I'd rail him for the next few hours. When that volcano erupts, it could be spectacular.
Brett 23,200

See you when you have finished dinner, in what, 4 hours?
* 20 minutes really, but that would not work.
Just seen Michael Kane, a guy with real style, he has 85,000.
James Rann has around 30,000.
Martin has 47,000.
That's fine, plenty time.

And then there were two
So that just leaves Martin (playing today) & Daren, who has eased into Day 3 already.
Will post links to some videos now.

Back soon, if not sooner.
Nightmare.
NIGHTMARE
NIGHT MARE
N-I-G-H-T-M-A-R-E
Wandered into Brasilia just before the break, & Martin's Table had broken.
Asked Floor where the table breaks were going, he said "Pavilion".
Pavilion must have 150 tables on the go, I kid you not.
So that'll be my first job after the break, go & patrol all 150 tables until I find our man.
Did I mention that will be a nightmare?
Play has started, so I'd best go start the search. Bear in mind the words of Captain Oates.
I assume that's Zach Hall. He's a fairly well known character, he was on the feature table for the early part of ESPN's coverage last year playing alongside Phil Ivey.

Daren just found himself in a very awkward spot.
There was an open to 3,700, flatted, then Daren called, the geezer behind jams, the opener gives it up, next geezer (first flatter) jams & Daren folds.
First flatter had K-K, jammer had 7-7.
Board ran out 9-8-6-A-5, & 7-7 man got the lot.
Daren began today with 27,200, & it is costing 4,200 per orbit (800-1,600/200) & we have played 30 minutes (1.5 orbits or so), so don't think he can limp or peel any more, it's all or nothing.
