Great stuff Phil. 100% record indeed! :=)
Although the SOUTH still need 3 more games from this match to secure the win. But an outstanding start!
AJ calling jordz16 ,AJ calling jordz16, ....over. Do you read me, Do you read me, ....over AJ calling jordz16 jordz16 in your own time lad, need to play our game A.S.A.P. Posted by ajmilton
We'll give Jordz a day or so to reply. If we don't hear anything I suggest Misty plays in his place.
Or if you'd rather not be a "playing" captain Mist, then we could look for a suitable reserve.
But my vote is for you to play it. (If we can't get hold of Jordz)

Very WELL DONE Phil.....looking good for MVP.....with Graham.

Thanks for pointing that out Rose, I must have missed that post.
AJ, Max, I would post a suggested date/time that fits in with Jordz's availability above,
In Response to Re: Poker "RYDER CUP" Results, Pairings and Fixture arranging thread. FOURBALL PAIRINGS NOW ANNOUNCED: PLEASE START ARRANGING FOURBALLS MATCHES ASAP. : I do take your point above Alan. However I think this approach would also present it's own difficulties. I was thinking of doing something similar in the future, but involving PLO, PLO8 and NLHE matches. If we do decide to do this, we can perhaps "trial" your suggestion. Cheers, G Posted by StayOrGo
Following on from this MAXALLY.
I do think your suggestion is a good idea, however inevitably people may not be available in the end for various reasons, so I think we'd need a team of either 7 or 8, plus a captain on each side. But still play the six player schedule.
This would "cover us" for non-attendance, but does mean that the captains will have to drop one or two players in each of the rounds. This would make it more like the Ryder Cup in a way, as long as no-one gets upset if they don't play in a round.
They'd all need to make themselves available for the same "three or four hour" slots, over two days. It might be hard finding 16 people happy to do this however
Will think about doing it this way next time, but may struggle with numbers.
Cheers,
G
P.S. Another benefit in doing it in the way you suggest, is that we can run it sequentially with "Tee Off" times at 15 minute intervals, making it more Ryder Cup like. It's a good idea, just concerned whether it would work out in reality.
I was thinking about a home nations type of compo. This time a series of dyms.Ireland, Wales ,Scotland, but dividing England into three sectors( as it has the biggest population) 1 player per table. There should always be a player available to play. Note to myself........stop thinking. Posted by chilling

Out of interest, if this was run as MAXALLY suggests. Lets say that everyone had to be available between 1pm and 5pm on a specific Saturday and Sunday. If you are an existing player. Would you still play? (The advantage of course is that it would all be over in two days) If you are not an existing player, but would be more likely to play in a "all over in two days" format, please post. Cheers, G Posted by StayOrGo
I think it would be great to run it over a weekend coz it would definitely feel more like the Ryder Cup, and the suggestion of having a team of 8 or 9 with 6 playing and hopefully ALL the singles (as they do in Ryder Cup) and The Captains who could possibly stand in too, I can imagine more people would want to play this now they have seen the fun we're having. Possibly a longer lead up to the tournament so people could make sure that they were available for the weekend of The StayorGo Cup/The StayorGo Charity Ryder Cup.

sounds good to me, any time of a weekend will suit me.
As chilling mentioned earlier, home nations,
sounds like a good idea,
We have phantom66 with the premier heads up championship (I'll win)
Yourself with the HU charity shield (shudda been me)
We are looking to play ALL heads up games this Sunday, with the following T-Times:
MATCH 07: 2.00pm
MATCH 08: 2.15pm
MATCH 09: 2.30pm
MATCH 10: 2.45pm
MATCH 11: 3.00pm
MATCH 12: 3.15pm
Can players please confirm their availability on the thread and to their captains.
May I suggest if we can get at least 4 players from each team available, that we at least play matches 7,8,9 and 10 at their allotted time. (Captains, please make sure your first four players are all available Sunday afternoon)
That'll probably be enough for a SOUTH VICTORY anyway.
Getting ready for "QUEEN'S -WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS" on full volume Sunday evening. :=)
Cheers,
G
P.S. Ice_Tiger, you and me at 6.10pm today. (Thurs) I will post on here when I get in. (approx. 6pm all being well)
P.P.S. Leader Board and Match Schedule updated on Opening Post.
GL all, yes even the Northerners (Lets face it, they're gunna need it!)
