Please can the captains get their FINAL singles order to Chilling by 11AM on Sunday (Donna, I believe Chilling has your order already, however, you may need to amend, based on player availability for Sunday.)

Chilling, please can you post singles fixtures by MID-DAY on Sunday, so people know when they are due to play.

OK Chill. Although Misty may need more time than that, to confirm the avalability of his players. DarkAngel's order may need to be changed based on availability too. This thing will only work if everyone is available and ready to play at their allotted time.

So if someone who Donna has as going out 2nd, isn't available, for instance, this would throw everything out. As such, especially for the first four match ups, availability needs to be assured.

Before you do this, make sure that the timings mean that players due to play each other are available at the same time.

I really think we need all players to confirm their avalability to their captains first. If you are sure this has been done. Go ahead.

Also the order is important and should NOT be decided later, so in match sequence order please.

Personally I would suggest that with all the time changes and availability changes that have happened, that we need the captains to re-confirm or re-submit their player sequences to you.

For example. THISLTEDU has to be player 1 (or to be more precise, PLAYER U, according to opening post spreadsheet), for the NORTH as he is unavailable Sunday. So Donna needs to amend if he wasn't already player 1

This is the problem Chilling, Doing it this way. I can't play Saturday, I said to Mist, I can play mid or late session Sunday.

It now messes everything up as matches are declared.

More haste less speed.

I don't mean to go on, but this was what I was trying to avoid, which is why I said hold off.

I don't know if any other fixtures have difficulties either.

I do appreciate you doing this and your enthusiasm, however I did warn of this very thing happening if too hasty.

Danny (FeelGroggy) is playing his Fourball matches at 2pm (all being well) so hopefully Danny and Phil can play their singles match at 3pm.....I know Phil would be OK with that.

I've not heard from Aron(Mania) but I tjink he was fairly Ok most of the weekend.

Aron .... can u post on here your times of availability for Sunday singles...... hopefully you're playing Danny in the fourball match around 2pm so I'm sure 2.30pm onwards would be good

I'm sure there will me many lessons learned as this was a trial. We have tried to change the process half way through which was a bit ambitious.

Anyway, I'm up for suggestions of how to salvage this now.

We could ask the captains to do a complete re-draw based on availability or we can swap a couple of the pairings around, so that both players are available at the same time.

All we needed to do was for each captain to say what player was playing what tee-time after checking they were available. I also think it best to preserve the blind draw. Occasionally in the Ryder Cup the two captains may both want a particular match up to occur and subtly "hint" to each other. This is OKish if it is something both sides want, although I do prefer a completely blind draw tbh.

From doing the above who and when they would be playing should in theory all work out fine.

We left the time of the Saturday match  open, as it was unclear from thistltedu what times were good for him.

Donald are you free to play Phil before 2pm on Saturday?

If so I will then play Phil's opponent (FeelGroggy) mid Sunday (I think they were trying to schedule Groggy's singles for 3pm, Sunday, which is fine for me)

We'll leave it as is if me and phil can swap.

It SHOULD have been an easy process for you (not so easy for the captains).

They should have each listed players, U,V,W,X,Y, Z. Sent them to you, and all you'd need to do is cut and paste what each of them sent you onto the thread. It never needed to be anymore complex than that.

The captains needed to make sure that the player is available for the tee-time that corresponds with the match number/player letter.

IE) MATCH EIGHT/PLAYER V on both sides must be available on Sun at 12.45pm, for example.
