lost the plot these last couple of days, major tilt, crazy cash some outrrageously high buy-in sng's (for my BR) lol, luckily won some back so my balance now stands at £199.84....was as little as 70 today, so ive fallen significantly from the dizzy heights of my amazing day 1 ending on £335 from £50, but still early doors and ive still made a great profit, i think a primo victory is in order to calm the nerves....

In Response to Re: ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE- POST YOUR UPDATES HERE : br was 70 yesterday , sliped back to 62 , now its gone back up to 78 , had a little success in cash nlh and dym omaha so br started 50 up 28 at present so br now stands @ £78 ! Posted by IRISHROVER
1st game won dym,
lost 6 in cash
lost dym next,
was down 9 quid at this stage ,
next game the nice guys in the 10pm forum 10 seater left me win .
I read this from when it was posted but never put my challenge up which was to turn £100 into £300 playing only mtt and the odd dym but had major bad beats the end of last month so BR was only £50 on the 1st so im going to stick with my original target and hopefully turn £50 into £300. Its gone well for me so far as my BR currently stands at £208.92 so going well on the mtt tables and £5 DYM but im sure i can donk that lot off before the end of the month by trying to punch above my wieght like i usually do
well you can cross me off the list, after a run of bad beats i was down to £14.50 and decided i was never gonig to get to my target playing poker, so stuck it on a horse...sorry i mean donkey and im busto
Up £200 today after dropping a bit past couple days. TBF I should be more up today but played a couple of hands a bit too loosely which cost me about £100.
OK, I hadn't actually joined this at the start, but now I am having serious thoughts about turning pro. Since the 1st May I knew I had to sort my game out, I was trying to play dodgy hands to get lucky blah blah, basicly at the end of the day donking off money, I needed to get back to my old tight style of play. I had £600 in my bankroll at the time. I decided to play 4x 25p/50p cash tables.
Straight away I got off to a winning start finding playing 4 tables kept me disciplined, it carried on over the whole of the bank holiday weekend giving myself a £400 profit by Wednesday getting my BR up to £1,000. I registered for a weeks worth of tournaments totaling £170. I havent cashed in any of yet ha ha (but i still have dan's deepstack and the primo on sunday) but with my cash games still paying out im back up to £940.
I think if I can consistently win this amount and not play as many tournaments I am making enough to live off. I am going to keep detailed records of my win/losses until the end of August when the world amateur championships are and if I am 4 or 5k up by then by just playing evenings after work then I think playing fulltime is definatly an option.
Its early days but it will all come out in the wash.
started my own br challenge on 28/04/10 before i knew about this started with 25 and now upto 634.84p in just over a week my aim was to get to 200 in 10 days
Bad couple of hours for me on 0.05/0.10, not much fun at all just card dead, missin every flop, outplayed etc etc. Down £22 for night but hopefully better times ahead bankroll = £154.96
