Orfords Cheapstack = 18 characters for the £3 Sky Comm Deepstack = 18 characters for the £5 Michelles Bigstack = 18 characters for the £10 :o)

Good try Annie, but not good enough.

There needs to be an apostrophe in "Orford's" for it to be gramatically correct.

    Thusly.....

"Orford's Cheapstack". Which equals - give me a mo - err, 19 characters. Just too many, sadly.......

    Well I know it's been a while since I was at school, but in my youth, 8 + 1 + 9 equalled 18.......

In Response to Re: More 10 Seater, Affordable, Deepies? Yes, or No? : Hi Greg, Hope you are well. As far as I am aware, the Prize Pools will NOT be Guaranteed, & personally, I hope they are not. If players want these Tourneys, then a Guarantee is not necessary. We are playing to have a little fun, that's the idea. If Sky Poker have to put up a Guarantee, & players decide not to support the Tourney, Sky Poker will reduce, or drop, the Guarantee. They'd have to, it would make no sense to subsidise Tourney Overlays most nights, & so they would end up pulling the Tourneys, simply because they were forking out the Overlay. And then we'd lose "our" Tourneys....... Without a Guarantee, they have absolutely no excuse not to offer up these Tourneys. Which were what we wanted, & as far as I recall, nobody said they needed to be Guaranteed. If Sky Poker were owned by me......(lol, gawd help you all) I'd let these Tourneys "float" for a few weeks, & see how they go, before making any radical changes. Once it gets to late September, & darker nights, I reckon they will get very good fields. Have a great weekend down there in sunny Folkestone.

Hi Tikay, yes im well thanks, hope your ok.

I'm looking forward to a poker free weekend in the sunny Costa Del Folkestone. Yes im taking a few days off to reassess my game but I will be back soon for the new deepies!!

Yes it makes sense to not GTD them until we can prove we are getting the necessary numbers. Thanks for taking the time to explain and i reckon we can get 200+ runners for 5.5 deepie buyins too! It will happen and we will make it happen!

I agree with the other posts which say we should have an "ACEBARRY" MTT.The guy is a legend on this site, and his support railing me over the last few months has been appreciated. His loyalty should be rewarded imo.

Thanks again and enjoy your evening

    Greg

How about the "Fish & Chipstack" or the "Deep & Meaningful"

A bit corny, I know, but it's about the best I could do?!

There are currently two 10 Seater, "affordable"  Deepies on Sky Poker every week. There is the Mick Jenn, (5 + £0.50) every Monday or Tuesday, & the tikay Sleepie every Wednesday, which is £10 + £1. Both of them get tidy fields - between them, they aggregate about 200 players each week - and personally, I love these. I csn get 3 or 4 hours play most nights, it's usually 8 or 10 spots paid, & as far as I'm concerned, they are as good as it gets for "regular" Tourneys. I'm Online tonight, & really quite disappointed that we don't have one of these tonight - I'll miss it. But if we ask for it, & if enough players want it, we COULD have these nightly - starting almost immediately. IF YOU WANT THEM........ So if you DO want them just post on this Thread, all you have to do is say this. Yes. And what entry fee you'd prefer. Say, £5 + £0.50, or £10 + £1. Like this......

    Lol!

I suppose I should be flattered that there's a small campaign to get a tourney named after me, but how come I've automatically been given the cheapest one?!

    Sigh.

Still, at least there's an obvious title for a dirt cheap MTT based on my name.....The Orfordable

    :)

PS- Whatever it ends up being called, I'm looking forward to having a deepstack available every night of the week as I love playing them on my PTP nights.

In Response to Re: More 10 Seater, Affordable, Deepies? Yes, or No?:
I've just spoken to Sky-Bernie. Two extra bits of Info,.........one good, one not so good. Not so good. The "Tourney Titles" can only be a MAXIMUM of 18 characters long, including spaces. (So "Rich Orford Deepstack" ( = 4+1+6+1+9=21) is TOO LONG). So, a maximum of 18 Characters, including spaces, please. Good. The "Sky Super Seven" will start NEXT WEEK! Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday are already set up (Spartacus, Mick Jenn & tikay respectively), so the new Tourneys will start from Thursday (20th August) of next week. The Reg Fees will be £10 + £1, £5 + £0.50, & £3 + £0.30. So that's it, we are up & running. Happy days.

The cheapie-deepie has to be The Orfordable - that is sheer class  ;o)  All those hours locked in the continuity announcers box at Living TV have not gone to waste.  (Tikay did say Living TV didn't he?)

    'Orfordable'

    Has to be called that.

In Response to Re: More 10 Seater, Affordable, Deepies? Yes, or No?:
Come up with a name, or names, for these new Tourneys. The "Mick Jenn", "Spartacus" & "tikay Deepie" will all retain their current titles, for now, anyway. But names are needed for the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, 10 Seater Deepies. So, suggest some names, please. It can be generic - "Thursday Forum Deep Stack" (or Fri, Sat, Sun), or "£3 (or £5 or £10) Forum Deep Stack". Or ANYTHING, really. Name it after popular players or Presenters you like (or even Orford), individual names each night. or just a snappy name, "£5 Sky Sleepie". Or whatever. Sky-Bernie will judge the Entrants, & the Winner gets free entry into next Thursday's Sky Sports Simulcasted 5-00. You may begin........NOW!
