If you can manage £5.50, there's one tonight at 7pm!

Go to the Poker Lobby & look for "FORUM DEEPSTACK".

    Hope to see you there.

i say yes tikay i have written  as to the reasons which the thursday and saturday 10 seaters are only pulling in 13 runners when the friday sunday and even the six seater on monday night pull in over 60 entries .i think its because of the better prize money which is great but for instance the saturday night opens the same buy in as the 10 seater and with the new 10 min blinds its probably attracted a few of the regular deepie players anyway theres many reasons the numbers could be down but heres a suggestion thet might solve the proiblem. offordables from friday night through to sunday night then monday the usual your name deepie the the six seater  on  monday and another deepie of similar buy in on wed and tuesday and thursday for the 11 quid deepies the numbers have been dropping for all the 10seater deepies which i think are some of the best poker tournies on sky  this  way would mean there are a decent number of players in the 10 seaters at the weekend instead of the dwindling numbers we have been getting

In Response to More 10 Seater, Affordable, Deepies? Yes, or No?:
There are currently two 10 Seater, "affordable"  Deepies on Sky Poker every week. There is the Mick Jenn, (5 + £0.50) every Monday or Tuesday, & the tikay Sleepie every Wednesday, which is £10 + £1. Both of them get tidy fields - between them, they aggregate about 200 players each week - and personally, I love these. I csn get 3 or 4 hours play most nights, it's usually 8 or 10 spots paid, & as far as I'm concerned, they are as good as it gets for "regular" Tourneys. I'm Online tonight, & really quite disappointed that we don't have one of these tonight - I'll miss it. But if we ask for it, & if enough players want it, we COULD have these nightly - starting almost immediately. IF YOU WANT THEM........ So if you DO want them just post on this Thread, all you have to do is say this. Yes. And what entry fee you'd prefer. Say, £5 + £0.50, or £10 + £1. Like this......

YES, would like to see as many deep stacks as possible with a range of buy ins.

Deep stacks are actually proper poker unlike some of the bingo. . . I mean velocity tournies :P

£3 ones sound good if not £5
  • edited November 2009
I would like this, but maybe £1 £2 and £3 buy ins for us that don't spend as much
  • edited November 2009
Would be a good idea  to have ones under £5 as it would allow new members to get involved in this type of tourney.

    Hi Mr Rider,

Your wish has already been granted. They do two nights where the 10 Seater 7pm Deepie Buy-In is £3.,30, & two nights, I think, at £5.50.

The £3.30 ones are called "Orfordables", named after the Resident Fish Presenter.

hi tikay this thread must be one of the most answered on sky but as yet i dont see too much being done exept for a load more people giving this answer which is yes by nearly all the only change so far tikay is the swap of the offordables from sun to sat and we will see if this picks up the entries tonight i for 1 will wait and see if the numbers go up in about 20 mins as theres no way im going to enter when the numbers are like last two sat  nights so tikay could you let the forum know if theres going to be any more 10 seaters or not im sure thres been enough feedback by now thanks paparon

yes to more deepies from  £3-5 quid £11 pound is a bit steep if you are playing most of the day , and if u go out pritty quick which happens to all now and then it can be quite dear , ie i try to keep to £15-20 pound a day , but when u are on a bad run it can be quite expensive.

    Hi Pap.

Can you summarise what the thread is about please?

You want MORE 10 seater Deepstacks? Or the same amount, but "more affordable" (cheaper)? Less £11 ones, more £3 & £5 ones?

I think - not sure - you are suggesting that the nightly 7pm Deepies should ll be £3 or £5, except, (because you told me so in a PM) the Wednesday night tikay Sleepstack.

Please confirm, & then I will, as I promised, try to see if it can be sorted out.

Tikay, think Papa was lookign for the buy in to be decreased, remembering reading his poll post last weekend.  Think this should be the link

I'm sure Papa will get back to you, oh and congrats on the your win last night.  Showing Lord Smirk who is the real deal ;)

Thanks Ross. I'll have a read of the Thread, then see if I can help.

Pap has written to me about it, 4 or 5 times, & I said I'd try to help. I just want to make sure I have my facts right before I get to work - detail is key - & I was not 100% sure of the precise request.

If there is a good commercial case for changing it, as has been suggested, I promise you this - we can get it changed. ("We" being the players). Buit it's all about preparing & Presenting the case properly. Pap asked me to help, & I will, but I'm a bit OCD about knowing the detail.

No worries, Tikay.  In my line of work, you should never assume anything, so agree with you 100% about getting the facts right.  Cheers
