Finished 43 / 88. Below is the hand that really messed it up. Was sat in top 15 at time and saw an opportunity to get a really decent chip stack. Didn't work out this time. Hey Ho.
Just had a quick 45min cash session and won £24.95. Was running like a god, and even better my opponents were part hitting the flop, until the below hand hit, the poker god has a sick sense of humour.

Have decided to buy in direct to tonights £15k Bounty Hunter, perhaps I have not matured as much as I thought with regards to my poker playing. I have justified this descison on two fronts. Firstly had a couple of really good cash sessions today, so can afford. Secondly I work nights so don't get to enter as many of the 8pm MTT's as I would like so need to grasp the opportunity when it arises. Expecting a few lectures on BR Management, but life's a gamble and you have to be in it to win it.
Just crashed out of £15k Bounty Hunter finishing 169 / 609. Claimed 2 bountys for £22.50 so only cost me a tenner. Below is the hand I basically went out on. Looking back not sure whether it was the right play in the long term. Advice please.
Been messing about and have sussed how to post hand history so keep your eyes peeled for them to come flooding in for your amusement and enjoyment. Just to get us started here's a tasty little Bad beat, dedicated to Dohhh, its pretty special. First one since I started thread so well worth a look. Enjoy Dohhhhh. shocking call and bad beat, i mean j 9 come on one over and all in ..........sigh
I am currently running and playing unbelievablely well. I am trying not to get too carried away but I am feeling pretty invincible at the moment. In the session I have just played approx 2 hours I lost only 4 pots of more than £4, with the largest being £5.26. I did, however suck out once for approx £18, sorry AYRGRAHAM, and I have to say I was impressed with the way he took it, a true gentleman and obvious long term winner. I don't know whether it is just coincidence that I am having one of my best runs on the cash table since I started this thread or whether it is really focusing my mind. I really don't want to being posting losing session after losing session on this thread and believe this is having a positive effect. Long may it continue.
Alright Trebor - The title of the thread doesn,t seem fitting now
you look to be goin well. I been playing about same time, but for some reason started off on FL cash at £1/£2 - I then played STT,s , then MTT,s , then cash from 10p ml to 50p NL and now I,m playing micro limit cash , DYM<s and the odd MTT sattelite - its just about finding your level and working yor way up from there Its changed over 5 years but I would advise not to move up to quickly and stay disciplined - things like this thread should help with that - gives you more incentive
Those MTT,s are tempting. I sometimes play the satelites out of the profits on grinding at low - micro stakes cash. If I don,t make a profit there I generally won,t play any MTT sats
Continued to run well until the hand below. Looking back should I have got away from this or was it just one of those hands. I have a feeling the top players may have laid it down.
Killer hand was the one below. Again should I be getting away from it.

Been playing on NL£20 couple of days now and amazed how may regs there are, wasn't really expecting this on SKY, thought it would be more recreational players. Just wondering what people's thoughts were on the regs at this level and who I should be avoiding and who I should be hunting down.
Just had a quick 1.5 hour session in between sleep and night shift. Pretty standard play with nothing exciting to report. 3 weeks to Christmas and then I can relax at work again, working for a big supermarket is not good in December. It appears the end is nigh if you look at the amount of food some people have bought in the last 2 days. God help us if we ever get some real snow. I will ocntinue to post on this thread, despite the apparent lack of interest as I believe it is really helping me focus on my game and is making me a better player as a result.
even if people dont post they will read, it is an interesting thread, my advice would be.. dont fear any player no matter how good they are, I realy believe the game is more simple than most poker players would think.
avoid being put to the test on hands, if you believe you have best get the money in first, if you lose the hand you gave yourself the maximum chance of winning it.
I have played on this site since day 1, I play mostly ABC poker, You can have a horrid bad run for two weeks with many trips getting cracked but it always changes.

The lure of AA was too strong and I got lucky.

Also had a problem with a hand that ended up costing me £7. I basically raised with J,K suited, got re-raised and I would probably have folded. I am playing 3 tables with them cascaded and as I was just preselecting fold on one table this table popped up and I pressed raise by mistake. He shoved all in and I had to fold. Has anyone else suffered this when multi tabling and what is the answer. I prefer to cascade my tables as I find that tiling them makes them too small. Will be playing again in a bit after my spag bol.
Played for about an hour and lost my money on the following hand. Payray had been playing very erratic and appeared to be tilting a bit, he had been all in a few times in the last few hands. I was half expecting him to push. When he pushed he was on a very wide range, when Dollie called I knew he knew that Payray was playing a wide range and this then opened up Dollie's range. These 2 factors made me call as I believed I was getting value over their ranges.

How wrong could I be, LOL. Looking back I was always going to be up against over cards but still not sure whether call was right in the situation. Off to work in a min, will probably play the 8pm MTT tomorrow as night off.
As I said in the chat box when we played earlier, this is a great thread. I am not sure that I expected to feature on it though. I think in that particular hand you were ul. Yes we both had the same read on the other player, but had you had the JJ and me the 10 10 you would have been patting yourself on the back. When I saw the cards from the 3 hands I thought I was likely to lose as I had to avoid the 8 outs you had between you, so I felt that I was the underdog even though I was ahead going in. I was fortunate to hit the Jack as our opponent did hit a King. Good to see you in profit overall and I look forward to crossing your path again. I think we have been on same table a couple of times in the last week. You have a solid game (not that I am a very good judge - lol). Good luck

u say at the end, "iwas always against over cards - even if it did widen their range, it was going to be 2 over cards at least (one each), which makes it a flip - should u really be calling off £18 (u reraised but no one was folding) with tens / and the flip? so far 100 quid up this seems a waste of 18 of it patience is a virtue.
Played 5 MTT's tonight. £5k Open finished 177/288 £750 Guaranteed 38/85 £500 Guaranteed Velocity 8/63 won £34.25 £1500 BH 140/211 £2K TSP 59/255
Lesson learnt was don't play when tired. Do think long term I could be a winning MTT player but need to up my concentration and willingness to lay down a big hand.
Didn't play well at all, looking to chase draws etc and probably lucky to only lose £20, majority of which I lost when running KK into AA preflop. One of those sessions when you sit down and know you are not playing well but continue to play for some reason. I really must stop playing these sessions and make sure I only play when in the right mood. Off to work in a bit and may give it a break for a couple of days to recharge batteries before I begim my assault again, then again I may be on the tables tomorrow, we will have to see.
In the middled of a session and just played this hand. What would you do, bearing in mind the villain has a tendancy to push all in a lot and is not afraid to put his stack on the line.
