Jamie with AK, Redmond flats the raise on the button with 98o and then calls a c-bet on the Q-9-x flop before taking it down with a bet on the turn. Very aggressive call, that.... but he is in position so standard enough?
Do you think he has Jamie down as a relatively straightforward opponent when out of position?
First really spicey hand pre-flop here? Jamie with AK, Redmond flats the raise on the button with 98o and then calls a c-bet on the Q-9-x flop before taking it down with a bet on the turn. I think he will until he sees something different. Reds has decided he will boss this table and I'm waiting for someone to step up to the plate and play back.
Glad this has started quiet to be honest. It means the guys are taking it seriously and despite some being used to much higher levels, there seems to be a heck of a lot of pride out there. I get the impression they want to play their best game and not splash thoughtlessly around.
Reds still table captain. Wayne looking for a spot.
In Response to Re: UK Cash Game - Official Show Discussion Thread : A lot of that utter nonsense is in position nonsense though, which is obviously better than doing it out of position, right? Posted by Sky_Dave
You should never do anything out of position. Anything. Especially trying to clean windows up a tall ladder.
Never just chuck your cards in on a checked river. IMO the small value you lose by showing your hand is counter balanced by picking up the pots you miss with misreads for straights and flushes like that. It's not like they all think he's a rock.
OK, question for you. If you could choose a seat on this table, where would you choose to sit in? Obviously we're talking about position wise... Posted by Sky_Dave
As Tikay just mentioned on the show, if you have any hands which you want to pick the brains of the players themselves, post your questions in here and we'll try to get them on to talk through some of the finer points
Right, that's the first episode in the books. A bit of jousting in the early stages but it certainly livened up. Episode two has the inimitable Neil Channing joining the action, so look forward to the next episode on Friday 1st July at 11pm!
how could tikay and rich not see that wayne was straddleing everytime he had £10 in the pot,by not noticing they were making unfair comments about him which made him sound bad to the viewers watchcin who also didnt notice the straddle.and on that point i think wayne was foolish to be straddling and it seemed he was only doing it because nick started it beside him and wayne felt obligated to keep it going, jamie was smart even to just say no im not straddlin, only aggressive, creative players who have total confidence in their play and reads post flop should do it,such as the likes of dwan, benyamine, ivey.

1) Win all the monies
2) If not that, try not to embarrass himself on TV!

Redmond mucked the winning hand. TBH, he's in good company - Phil Ivey has done that before I am sure.
Red's is human after all!!

Yup, thought so.
Love it!

Really enjoying it dave ,
how many hours did they play for ?
Early days but I think Wayne will be the first to admit he hasn't 'hit the ground running.'
Come on Glitter, play your game mate, not their's!!!
Did lol at the 8-2o by Redmond. Nice try :P

Was a great show, really enjoyed watching it and can't wait for next weeks.
