Running awfully at the moment, should hit 500 game mark in couple of days confidence is slowly draining away again just can't seem to catch a break maybe a change in discipline will help rather than trying to grind out volume with a bad mindset. Thought i'd play a couple of speeds to see if i could turn the run around, these couple of games from the morning sums up how its been going recently..

Its contagious, just been levelled this morning by the same donk I was chasing yest for 4x20 quid, first 2 bad beats , then tilted off another 2. Positive tilt fml, I was planning on buying a bike two days ago, now i'll be lucky to get a tyre pump!

Back to basics and back to 5rs, always knew discipline would be my big issue. Will post the damage later.

The games r so soft that even if you're running kak for a small period, it's only a matter of time until it comes back, and more. My session on Jul 1st is evidence of that.

As you say, the real danger to yourself is yourself.

Stick to the gameplan, be disciplined (admittedly easier said than done) and it'll all come good!

In before I run shocking and tilt off 400 tonight.

MTTs started awful, entered 7 between 11 and 1, only 1 left and it's level 3! lol.

My diary has got a bit ranty recently (especially my last post lol) so just been taking a break from things and playing some Xbox. The games are deffo really soft but it's just so hard not to tilt when you you lose the old AK v A5 aipf over and over again.

I aint giving up on them, although I will be playing more cash now that promo is over... due some run good soon.

I have only one person to blame lambert, its me ! But I have scoped myself over 8k games and my roi at 5rs is a steady 4%(the losses stem from higher stakes and rr's). Just you get bored of it after a while and take shots especially when you see bad players. Ive only played like 200 games, I expect to play at least 1500-2000 this month so its early doors, onwards and upwards hopefully!

Mixed day today.

I dnt think I'm cut out for multi tabling loads, the mtts were a really big fail, the first 12 or so went down without even a sniff of a cash.

When 2 tabling, (the only 2 left out of the 10,237 I entered) I managed a min cash and a FT, where I busted 5th, which put me up about 50e for the day.

Lost my discipline, after abit of run bad. Maybe it wasn't even run bad. Just standard spots. But I didn't deal with it very well, and moved up the stakes.

Feel like I got away with from a potentially 'month destroying' situation tonight, more due to luck than judgement.

1/4 of the way through the month and I'm 25 games behind where I should be if I'm aiming for 500 for this 'challenge' thing. Should be ok to catch up though, no sport on tomorrow so 50 game day incoming !

Poor day all round yesterday.

Started in the morning when I had problems in the bedroom department.

Heard the scrapman on the street outside, so spoke to him and asked if he'd come back in an hour to give me chance to dismantle my bed so he could take it away, in anticipation of my new bed being delivered tomorrow (today).

Meant moving the whole room around, turning it upside down/cleaning etc.

Got it all done, then checked the delivery note for the new bed and it turns out it's due to be delivered 'a week on Wednesday'. Not Wednesday! sigh.

That delayed the start of the session, I was already pretty tired and considered not even bothering, but with it being turbo Tuesday I decided to play a small session.

No luck in the MTTs, stuck to turbos only as I couldn't rly be bothered, tired/too hot & Yorkshire on TV (thankfully we got the win)

Couple of min cashes but didn't flip very well inside the money.

Played the sky main, mini, and a couple of sats into the 9pm turbo BH. No luck.

Almost got going in the main, if I hold here I have a nice stack going in to the 'turbo' part of the MTT

Decided to play a couple of hours HU to finish.

Action was really really slow though, I'm sat waiting for 10+ minutes between games at times.

I don't think people were avoiding me because there weren't any other games running either.

Might just have been a slow night.

Played 12 in 2 hours before I got fed up, decided to call it a night. Up about a fiver.

Rubbish day all round.

Month stats...

Very nice stats still, things havn't got any better it's strange because i had one of best months ever last month in terms of HU and then back to brutal reality this month. I did some reviewing and noticed some spots that i was maybe not playing right, however i definetly have been getting it in good and losing alot more than i should. Have lowered the volume a little bit as had alot to sort out, going to bennicassim on sunday for a week and a bit so will give me time to refresh. Other variables such as moving home from uni, sorting job interview and holiday and generally not just being mentally right when i sit down to play may also have had a negative affect on how it's been going, but i will plough through and eventually the heater will come. Played one oppo who you posted a few games against the other day tkr who has been running godlike against me but to be fair as you said he does rematch but doesn't matter if they are in god mode lol. Good luck with the grind, maybe by time i get back from benni you would of reached a similar amount of games to me, i still have hope of ending the month with a positive roi and profit, although will be very difficult in just a week and a bit after the holiday.

Not sure exactly what the situation is atm, but have had a few small winning days, just £5 here, £10 there, so not sure what it is now cos I aint got SS... will still be in a hole, but a slightly smaller one.

Anyone fancy skoping me for HU just in July again?

That 99 hand. Wouldn't it be worth protecting against the draw by shoving the flop? The other guy should fold as he doesn't have the pot odds does he? Or is your plan with a drawing but low flop to let him catch up a little maybe.

Heres my update, after getting battered taking a shot its pretty much been treading water. Taking out higher level hu games im showing a small profit at 5rs, but clearly the tilt factor by chasing the dollar and getting turned over has had an effect on the current figure.

Not enjoying the matress on the floor prof! literally a big mis-read by me !

The 99 hand I'm happy to flat the flop knowing I have the nuts, position on the turn with less than a pot sized bet behind. 

I'm expecting him to call the flop with the kind of hand he had if I shove the flop,I just don't want to give him an excuse to fold his 1pair hands and weaker draws.

Kinda disappointing when he checks the turn to me,I want himto overvalue made hands here as my range is still wide open,he could put me on a draw and move in alot wider than he'd call off. 

Not worried about any turn cards, I'm never folding. Just needed to fade for the big tripple up!

When we have sets and opponents have a FD, we don't want them to fold. Sometimes they'll get there (although we can always house up) but taking this small risk means we can stack them instead of winning a smaller pot.

Well up for it today.

I've woken up early with backache, I thought a firm bed was good for your back? It's killing. 

Anyway, Ashes fever has well and trully set in after a dramatic day yesterday, it couldn't be better set up. First hour absolutely crucial.

Ok nearly pulled it all back, starting to feel back in the groove. With confidence will come volume, but its gonna be tough to hit priority this month. Might need a couple of cash sessions on a non promo week. 

Had a mini sweat session the other day, other players where pulling nearly everything I did to pieces from bet sizing to calling ranges. I dont want to make wholesale changes to the way I am playing especially if over the longer sample of £5 games its a steady profit at 4% roi, so I guess its one step at a time. Sometimes being unauthordox is good when it comes to poker!

Nice turnaround Ace, things went alot better for me today had a +45 day at 5s, decided to try stem the flow by opening a word document and getting my thoughts down about key hands in each game and seemed to work for me, although may have just coincided with finally running a bit better. Still -roi and in a deep hole profit wise but slow and steady grinding at 5s and the profit/roi will come. Will maybe be on tomorrow for a little bit but then won't be on till 24th i don't think so will have to carry on then. Good luck with the grinding would be good to see you all on a good positive roi when i return.

I cant't really remember a day when i lost more HU games than won. I suppose the odd day might be break even (not that i play a lot when i do play em!)

But today was brutal haha

No idea how many i've played, but i have a shocking record for today!

To start with I lost 3-1 in the HU Forum game against jordz, was running pretty terrible.

The games i played later on had a few that were overly aggressive, which are just as good as passive players, they should be easy to win. Just pick your spots and you get paid. But, i just played terrible lol

Not run bad, just some shocking play, i think the heats tilted me lol

Have a good break ben, holiday will do you good. I have a hospital appt next week and also need to put business plan together for the new venture so not sure how many clear days I will have. Not surprisingly evening games seem to be much softer at the moment, so will try to play more after 5pm. Morning games arent bad either but not much action as the numbers are down on the site from years gone by.
