reasonably long 2/3 table session today.
at the moment I always seem to need a couple of large top ups pretty quick into a session at the moment and then need to grind it back
managed to do it today and ended up £16.37 so not bad. the usual "bad beats" given out and taken.

will give nl4 another couple of go's though b4 i move up.

balance up for month £27.37,  points 332

    good luck

In Response to Re: *****OCTOBER PROFIT CHALLENGE THREAD***** : Due to a combination of spending time away from my computer to play basketball and still being tilted from playing/running bad yesterday I decided not to play today. But then I saw that the Rich Orford heads-up challenge was back on, and I couldn't pass up that value. Now I don't hate poker anymore. Thanks Rich! 1 cash out of 1, daily balance +£2.85, MTD balance +£78.23.

After a bit of a slow start I had quite a good day, feel I played well but I also hit some big hands in key spots. First I bubbled a £1.10 PLO8, then min-cashed a PLO bounty hunter, then didn't cash in a £3.30 PLO8. For the first time in a while I played a £20gtd PLO as there were actually 10 runners. I hit quads early on but didn't get paid. When we were six-handed and I was down to about 6 BB I shoved into 5 limpers with AKTT, 2 callers, 1 of them pushed the other off the hand on the turn and my pocket 10s somehow held up without improving. That must be less likely than getting quads. I ended up finishing 3rd and cashing. Last tournament I played was another £3.30 PLO8. I doubled up early with quads over house, no low, had a couple of big 3/4 hands and then managed to keep out of trouble. Made heads-up about 4-1 behind on chips, but fought my way back and won.

3 cashes out of 5, daily balance +£13.65, MTD balance +£91.88.

Worst day of the month on the tables for me (13th) :).

Played from early morning right through until about 11am then again at about 7pm until typing this.

From time to time you get days where nothing you do works and any hands you get dont hold etc and today was the day.

You always know there is a one just around the corner so pleased to hopefully get it out of the way :)

In all honesty i can only remember being dealt good hands about 4-5 times all day and only remember winning one of them. Floped 4 sets and 3 of them lost on river to flushes after getting it all in on the flop. Most of all though the game becomes a drag when all your seeing is 49 29 38 etc etc all day.

Played main and mini with no heads in either + the roller for the first time (prob wrong day to try it :) ) and wd scotty on winning it btw m8.

Cash games on day = -£578.23
    MTTs on day = -£146.30

    Months running total = +£2116.79

    Good luck all. Dave.

Yh being in the 2nd bracket on the C4P ladder helps a lot, 2 points per 20 hands is so much tougher lol

My follow up to the great idea on turning air into millions went well for a while but ended as it should of!!!

Started with £20 sat at nl20 got up to about £75 went to nl50 donked around and rivered scotty77 extremely lucky but such a bully on the tables got bored and made a stand.
Up to £106 wnt to a master cash nl50 dropped to £78 ish then went to nl100 2nd hand got dealt 55 hit a set on turn after getting there cheap on  rainbow board only to find that someone was slowplaying a monster and turned over a set of aces when it all went in!! (No raise pre either limped into me and called my raise absolute killer)

Anyway that idea is out of the window and back to proper BR and MTT's will update when i have any clue what my BR is as need to work it out now.

Does anyone leave the BR on the  site all the time??? I seem to take it off and on just delays are a pain bit worried about the full tilt fiasco

As usual a good day was followed by a bad day. Played £1k gtd Omaha tourney. In almost 2 hours of play I never got aces or nice rundowns, I didn't hit a single full house and had maybe one straight and flush each. For a few levels I was at the most lunatic table ever, people were potting and re-potting as soon as they hit a pair. If I had had a few decent hands there I could have built a huge stack, but no such luck. All in all 23rd is not too bad considering how I was running, still very frustrating.

0 cashes out of 2, daily balance -£14.30, MTD balance +£77.58.

Much better day today although i am still not getting anywhere near the big cash in MTTs.

    Played 4 cash sessions.

Session 1 = Only played for about 30mins around 11am cos had to go out but ran really well against players who were happy to just gamble = +£271.89

Session 2 = all pretty standard really until my AA got cracked off AKO/S pre when he runner/runner straight (but some would say that was standard aswell on here :)  ) = -£32.71

Session 3 = I seemed to be playing for a age again without seeing any good hands and when i did see them i got no action but then things started to look brighter as one of the sites more generous players sat at one of my tables :)  from that point i left all other tables to just concentrate on my new best friend but no matter what i did or where i followed him he was totally inconsiderate and kept giving his stack to others lol, so when he finally got the old (your bank has refused this transaction message) i was no better off for him paying me a visit  and the session ended = -£116.94

Session 4 = much better and was hitting all the right flops v the right players for about 60mins before typing this and came off = +£283.23

MTTS i played only the main tonight because i forgot to reg for mini but that prob only saved me £3.30 the way im running in those at the mo :)

Cash games on day = +£405.47
    MTTs on day = -£22

    Months running total = +£2500.26

    Good luck all. Dave.

2 sessions - one late friday night - up £4; one late saturday (in mourning after the rugby!) - down £2.38
so up £31.89 for month, points 458

some bad play by me on saturday but also saturday night is a tough night as people are more loose and can easily stack you with hands you are not expecting.

    good luck all
  • edited October 2011

Played several sessions on Saturday. Dropped a buy in early on, but was winning again by the end of the day, although blew a buy in through lack of concentration right at the end.

Really frustrated by these 5 to 6 buy-in downswings with cash. So far each time the peak I've got to has been higher than the previous one and the troughs have been higher as well, but I'm having a battle to get my head round it.

    Day £6.06 profit

    Balance £134.39
