Keeping with my personal up and down rhythm I was due another bad day, but today the "r"ng really kicked my youknowwhat. It started off with my set getting beaten by a rivered house in the second hand of a bounty hunter and ended with my turned straight getting beaten by a rivered house heads-up in the £20gtd. Inbetween there were countless instances of getting rivered when getting my chips in ahead and not hitting when getting my chips in on a draw, interspersed by the odd cooler, such as the only other big stack having a bigger house in the one tournament I actually managed to accumulate some chips.
1 cash out of 8, daily balance -£15.50, MTD balance +£84.72.
Only 2 shortish cash sessions today because spent alot of time taking notes on alot of regs etc = +£65.97
Played main and mini + 3 ukops sats and mostly due to my own bad play cashed in none of them.
Shouldnt really play when im tired because i either gamble too much when the odds are against me or make crazy calls v players who i know are infront but all in all no real damage done cash wise on the day.
Cash games on day = +£65.97 MTTs + Sats on day = -£106.10

Good luck all and also very well done to Julian Thew on todays win, great guy and great result.
Haven't played cash for about 2/3 days (yesterday due to being in Newcastle all day ) but feels like a year lol, back to the grind though and back to the variance. Fisrt one JJ beat by KQ, I played JJ slow Q on river, and flush over flush me with worse one obvz for £8 pot luckily donkey only minraised river. Also no major big winning hands which was a shame. Session was quite small as well due to constant table changes which ain't great as I detest micro sessions.
Overall though up to 1000 points now which is nice but still aiming for 2000, however depending on how I run (and I generally run bad) I might not be able to play the rest of month at NL20 which is only way I'll get there, but again not a massive issue, gettng to anywhere near £400 was main goal and I have already dont that just about putting down an anchor now.
smallish session today but a losing one - £3.38 2 hands did it - KK v AA , then JJ v KQ binking Q on river hopefully not on a downswing!LOL! Way it goes sometimes. profit for month £28.51 points 509

Well, the trend of alternating good and bad days has been broken as I had another horrible day. Highlights today were getting AA23 in hi-lo and getting scooped on a A7J flop and running into flopped quad aces with flush and low draws (of course no low came). Played the DTD and had the usual interesting exit hands: K-high flush vs A-high flush; KK vs A7 when board came 7x7x7; in the last one I got teased by the "r"ng busting aces with K9, only to lose a few hands later with AK vs AT. If variance really evens out then I should easily qualify for UKOPS #2 and win both Omahartigan tourneys tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.

Imo i think i played the worst i have ever done on cash this afternoon since joining sky poker.
It dosnt help much when you keep being outdrawn on the river in the most brutal fashion v the table idiot over and over again but once you start trying to bluff very tight regs who you know wont fire biggish bets without big hands then its all your own fault.
I must have tried at least 4-5 river shoves v players who might aswell be playing with their cards face up and should have known that none of my moves would have worked in those situations but like ive said before on here there is no such thing as a bad bet if it gets you action long term and also found out a few money making things for future hands v a couple of players. Badbeats etc are all part of the game and i take them in my stride and the only thing that winds me up at this game is myself doing stupid things, i prob could have saved about £300 today by just slowing down at the right time v the guys you know have got hands etc and thats what makes me angry with myself because anyone who knows the game should know not to give action to players like this. Totally my own doing.
Played alot of cash today and also played main and mini tonight and cashed in main with about 7 heads.

Third losing sesh on the spin but smallest so don't really count. Biggest and only losing hand over 20bbs not massive but one where it wasn't a beat but one I think might have played better. A few winning ones but all small 25bb ones so lacking that big super boost BI one. Still just holding on to NL20, cud do with a strong plus session soon.

Good session tonight. Only lost 2 hands for over £1 and one of them was AA cracked by JTos aipf. Won a couple of big pots from bluffers and one with nut flush over 2nd nut flush.
After the downs atthe end of last week I'm now back to my highest ever BR. )
Biggest session all month in terms of points and luckily a winning one. Only two losing hands over 20bbs 1st KQ v A9, me TPGK them call off 25bb on turn wiv FD and hit, another very late on that snubbed a major profit sesh, KJ v 810, they flop 2pr on flop and just call down 3 streets. Winning ones again not massive highest being around 35bbs.

Another day that had disaster written all over it took a nice u-turn in the end. I bubbled the UKOPS #2 mini-sat after coming back from the dead twice, so only one week left. I definitely will not buy in directly, but I might convince myself to stretch brm rules and buy in into next weeks semi-finale if I fail at the mini-sat again. I did alright in the OHL tourneys, but didn't come close to cashing. What turned things around were the 2 £20gtd PLO mtts I played. I was short-stacked in both, but this time my good hands actually held up once in a while and I min-cashed the first and won the second after an epic heads-up duel with irishnige. At the end there were 13 big blinds on the table, so not much play left.
2 cashes out of 5, daily balance +£24.90, MTD balance £96.79.
PS: I hope the academy noticed my efforts over the last few days to wrestle the biggest moaner community award away from spornybol. I would hate for all my hard work to go unnoticed and unrewarded.
Played and ran alot better today although still doing the odd crazy thing.
Early morning: after going 2 buyins down on £100nl i was thinking the bad run was just going to continue but by the time i finished what was a very long session i came off over 4 buyins up at +£436.32
Afternoon i didnt play alot but did ok and made a profit of £134.28
There was one hand that just made me lol. I was on BB with JJ, utg flats and he is shortstack of about 15bbs, pretty loose player on the button raises 3bbs and i just decide to call to hope for a good spot to catch him as i know he fires light but then the utg decides to make it 5bbs which then brings the isolation raise from the loose player of 13bbs so knowing he could easily have worse than me i jam stack and both snap call me. utg had j9off, button had 99 and i won pot of about £220.
Just as the chips are sliding my way the utg types in chat "i would easily fold JJ in your position there"
Made my chuckle a bit because he didnt seem to realise he just called with 99 in a worse spot, gotta love em
Played about a hour this evening and ran KK into AA for a session loss of -£153.50
Then played again about 9pm and after running KK into AA once again and also donking off £200 on £200nl with Ace high repping a set v the T/P T/K that didnt fold i was happy to come away from the session at -£27.98
Played main and mini and for the 3rd time today ran KK into AA in main after only about 20 hands which lead to me losing interest in the mini and throwing it away shortly after in a situation i normally wouldnt even be in.
Cash games on day = +£389.12 MTTs on day = -£25.30

I enjoy writing these updates at the end of each day because it keeps me focused and helps let off a bit of steam after a day of badbeats and badplays etc and never really thought much about who might be reading them but over the last few weeks at least 7-8 different players have commented to me in chat about this thread so i guess it also helps others to pass the time aswell

I do lol, Every poker player aspires to playing high stakes so it's an intesting read
yesterdays session ended up £1.54 but was as high as £6 up then ran KK into AA aipf (that's twice now in consecutive sessions) and not long before QQ v JJ with a J on the river - allin on flop. Grrr!LOL
At least I ended up. for the month + £30.07 points 566
I think that I'll stay at nl4 for the rest of the month (well, probably won't play the last week anyway) and as long as i am around the bankroll level i am now i'll be dabbling in nl8!!
Pretty dire session. Started with K10dd vs JJ all in on 688 flop against fairly short stack and miss draw, then KJ vs AA, guy open limps calls 4x, AK5 flop, J turn well done, then after dropping down to NL10 to escape the variance I get QQ vs AA AI pre for a BI, good times. Those only losing hands over 20bbs but also 6 around 10bb mark, a really juicy one was getting KK, limp and raise I make it £2, Ace high flop facing shove ahhh be jasus.
Was very bad at one stage but got it back to just under a BI down at NL20 but have decided to drop down to NL10 for rest of month or until I have at least a 3BI leeway to £400.
Im a bit late for this... only just started playing again. deposited £300 saturday i have £397 now. Im only playing in afternoons from 3pm to 6 pm as im working nights atm

Welcome aboard mate, its never too late to make cash
Started on saturday with a roll of £25.33 and have to say played out my bankroll from 10nl through to 50nl but now on £267.89 sticking to the lower limits and rolling myself now i have a roll to play with with 1224 points so far this month
Had a horrible start to the session tonight with 1 fish caling with almost any 2 and hitting big several times, was soon 3 BI's down. Kept at it and got a good chunk back off of him, plus hit quads on another table and got payed, and finished up only slightly down for the evening.
had a couple of hours session this afternoon not too bad - ended up £4.83 would have been much better if I hadn't come across an "any 2" player who kept hitting! the best was QsQh v Ah3s - aipf - they get four hearts on board to win!! they couldn't miss. they even beat AA with Q5 after a large pre flop raise and they flopped 2 pair. hopefully i meet them again soon

After a day off, played much better, picked some good tables with no regs and could have made much more if my cards held. Got it in good a few times to get caught up. Biggest loss with KK, got check raised on a 557 DS flop, thought they were drawing but had hit trips, FML.

Took a couple of days off.
Won the roller for 1.8k
Then played GUKPT Coventry. Really happy with how I played and came 26th...don't think i could have done much different.
Had a breakeven day yesterday. Won 300 on cash but did about the same in tournie entries.
Need to get some massive volume in. I'm on 14k points atm. I'm not feeling like playing cash atm tho.
Might take a day off today and try and get the grind on from tomorrow
