I managed to find the freeroll tournaments but im now stuck on finding the password for the £200 freeroll, it says its on the right but i couldnt see any download thingy .Any chance of a link?.

If you already use the download its on the right hand side of the start screen. If not then you will need to go to the Sky poker home page and click on download now (on the left hand side of the screen) which will install the download version.

Morning Ryan.

Yes, there are sideys at EVERY SPT this season. Glasgow is a 1 day Main Event, so I'm not sure what the Sideys will be, probably a Friday evening affair, & a Saturday evening one, at around 8pm. To a degree, capacity for these depends upon the Venue. We seem to struggle a bit with Glasgow Venues giving us what we ask for, but hope springs eternal & all that.

Will I be attending? No idea! We have TWO SPT's that day, the other being in Brighton, & I'll go wherever the Suits ask me to. I'll deffo be at one or the other, God willing.

All the details will be announced once Luton SPT is done & dusted, next weekend, so you can expect the Satellites to start first week in February.

I have just started on this site after moving from another one and think it is a great site. I have had a bit of success so far finishing 6th and 4th in last 2 tournies although i went out with qq on the final table both times against ak and jj so a bit disappointed also enjoy playing the cash games where i was just playing lolufold heads up. He is an excellent player and very aggressive i got very lucky on him a few times but i think i will avoid him in future.

Good morning.

I'm sorry that you appear to be less than wholly satisfied, but I cannot really assist with things like this, nor do I have the full facts of the matter to hand. Most would say, I think, that Sky Poker my be far from perfect, but it does try to treat players fairly when things occasionally go wrong.

Why not chat with Customer Care again, & express your dissatisfaction?

Sorry if your experience has been less than optimal.

No, I'm afraid that's not possible, as I'm sure you know!

I really think poker players need to get their heads round "bad beats". They are absolutely part & parcel of poker, an intrinsic part of the game. Until players accept this, they will not enjoy the wonderful game that poker is.

We take bad beats, we give bad beats, broadly speaking in equal measure. Nobody ever complains when they dish out a beat, only when they take one.

I think, on average, I must read 100's of bad beat stories daily, usually sarcastic, "oh, wot a shok, my A-K lost to Q-J", or "joke", "sky poker did me again".

Honestly, you will enjoy your poker much more if you just accept them, & move on, negative thoughts cannot possibly help you win, or enjoy, the game. Why not give it a try, & trust me, if you do, you will derive much more enjoyment from your poker. As long as you play poker, you will take bad beats every single day - you just will!

It really pains me to see players getting upset about "beats", I so want to sit them in a room, lock the door, & explain how it works, so they can move on positively. Why play a game which upsets us so much? We could watch Big Brother & get upset for free!

In any event, far worse things happen at sea.......now they ARE bad beats.

Hi BG.

I'm not sure, but I guess it will be when the seats are all sold. It's very likely to sell out soon, & then, next Friday & Saturday, everyone will be clamouring for a seat.

Buy in now!

For the time being, satellites will continue, 9.30pm, every evening on Sky Poker, but I doubt they'll run much past Monday, as I excpect it will be close to sold out by then.

Under the gun flats 20, I raise to 100 fold, fold, small blind all in fold. I call the all in and go out to pocket Aces. Should I have folded, being so early in the game?

Hi Red,

No way!

He does not have to have Aces there, & most times, he does not have Aces there. I'm calling all day every day, & twice on Sunday.

Take the long view - 8 or 9 times out of 10, he will show up with a small pocket pair, or J-J, A-K, A-Q, or even a complete airball.

If all else fails, you can always do what Thewy does - bink a set.

Call.

Very anoid with how laggy the deposit freeroll was, im doing great then all of a sudden i couldnt play my hands then i get like a split second to call etc then waiting again, just so happens i was out 580th after being in top 50 most tournament, what happened ?

It appears there was a problem with the entire site which caused it to shut down for about 5 minutes. Seems to be running OK again now though.

Hi Tikay, I find myself a succesful in local games, there think they know it all, but I take down 100 pound then I try at home abd lose more, I play the same game but its faster so I adjust, please advise?

Dya know, I can honestly say, there has NEVER been a stage in my entire poker playing life that I have ever had one of these rants about how 'its all fixed'. I really just can't understand that kind of mindset, why can't people understand there are some basic laws of probability in play.

If Man Utd are 3-0 after the first half, and they're 1/500 to win, that doesn't mean it will NEVER not happen, it means it's VERY unlikely, but one day a team will come back to draw 3-3. Nothing is a 100% safe bet otherwise bookies wouldn't give you a price on it.

Me personally have been going through a bit of a bad patch, been playing loads of HU SnGs and for the last 2 days have lost count how many times people have flopped the nut straight at the same time as me flopping top 2 pair or a set, but I know it's never gonna last (hence why you play small enough stakes to ride out the bad patches)

You might aswell have written them last 2 posts in Chinese for the amount of people that are going to understand that gibberish, breathe man ! I suspect it wasnt an A star in GCSE English for you. If you cant take getting beat you shouldnt play poker, these things happen, it evens itself out atfrer time. Thats all you hear on this thread lately is people moaing about bad beats and its a fix and its getting boring. Go down to your local casino and play a tournament or a cash game and you will realise that it happens all the time in live poker and people hit on the river all the time, thats poker, sometimes if you take the risk it pays off and you hit, and sometimes you dont and the other players cards hold out more often than not. People seem to think that because this system of poker you play here is fixed because it is computerised, if you think that then why play ? Nobody is forcing you to play.

Question for Tikay, regarding the new timed tournaments.

Is there any plans to have the same sort of tournies , but with a standard MTT prizepool?   e.g
1st (most chips)   £80
2nd (second most chips) £50
3rd   £35
4th   £20
regardless of "exact" chips.

Thats class, did you put that together Noseybonk ? That brought tears to my eyes listening to it, funniest thing ive heard in a long time, wait until Tikay listens to that. By the way i am still none the wiser to Shanns launguage of chioce, but its a bit easier to understand in audio than in the original written version lol
