Should be a good read, good luck.
I hope people actually read those diaries btw, seems like no-one is interested in mine since i've been the only poster on it for a while hahaha :P

Dunno what direction it will take, but roughly show my progression, through MTT's, cash games and maybe some double your moneys.
I know your thinking, another low stakes diary this will be a ripper
It will show the good and bad along the way, hopefully more good!!
Im sure its the same for you. I know that I read your diary most times you update it, Ill pop in and say hello sometime.
P.S. lack of apostrophies is because Im at my mums house and that key is broke on her laptop
I had a laptop like that once, except it wasn't the apostophie key that was broken, it was the 'a' key, bloody nightmare!! haha.
Helps add a personality and some life to the players on here. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that behind that little bald headed guy with sunglasses avatar (or whatever one) there's actually a real human being. Diaries help make it feel a little more real
should be a good diary larson i will enjoy it myself. at the minute only i only know devonfish with a diary from the NL4p.
i do enjoy dooohs and laberts too. i just don't write too much on the incase it goes the wrong way.
My exit hand was a monster pot, my pocket queens ran into pocket kings and AK, there was no queen to be seen lol
good luck with your diary, and reaching your £300 target...
bit easy though,if you don't mind me saying, maybe £1000 would have been my choice.
saying that,it's still £150 so no gimmie.
stay focussed on the long term,ie;reaching the target, would be my best advice, and not to let losing sessions get to you.
best of luck,i'm sure you can/will do it.
dev
Cheers Dev, one step at a time lol
If i achieve that, then i'll reset my target.
It's a big if haha, sometimes i can play really well, other times i'm just spewey. If i stay focussed i think i will.
that's the point of these diarys to challenge yourself and hopefully achieve something too.
when you get to £300 you could then have another double up target of £600 and so on. lols
best wishes buddy

In Response to Re: Another Diary Current Bankrole £146.63, Target £300 ]}:
Thanks Dev,Are you still playing the DYM's games or do you just stick to cash now?
Cant remember if you play turbo head up Sit and Gos, but if you did would you fancy a game?:D
Look forward to reading it.
Daz.
just playing cash,nl4 atm.
was playing dym's all last year, just the standard ones.
never played any turbo stuff or much heads up stuff, apart from a few times in freerolls. lol
i would be happy to have a heads up game though sometime if u fancied it,
maybe one of the £1 games as i don't want you to go bankrupt. lols
(i did watch a heads up video on u-tube a couple of weeks ago, some guy getting a tutorial from a pro,and it really was interesting, and has helped my heads up play alot,so...just saying.) lol
dev
ps;i'll see if i can find link for you..
anyway for the moment...
if u type in deucescracked on google, etc,
then look for;'mentor:Ansky(#1-100nl heads up)'
Current Bank roll, £112.05
Had a few bad beats, played some bad poker but thats poker.
Onwards and upwards!
I played 2 tables of 5p10p and lost 2 buy ins lol which is a big part of the above. Oneof the hands i had it all in for about £8 total, I had Ace 7 2 pair on the flop, against a flush draw, all in on the flop, hits his flush.
Tho i agree with you 2x the blind would prob have been a better sizing.
Set over set.
Could have folded the river, with 4 clubs out but felt i had to call, albeit prob a bad call
the time yo should aim to bluff is when you are in position because you will know what the villian have done already.
I sat down this afternoon, 4 tables open, the 2nd hand in, I have aces, it ends up making it way all in 3 way, AA vrs KK vrs 10J, 10j gets runner runner straight! Unreal, If i just see a flop, and bet the flop no way is 10 J sticking about lol unreal. Then after that handed i was so tilted I went on to lose about £15 in total, total spew.
It;s weird i keep saying dont tilt, but once in a while i keep doing it! Lesson 1, dont tilt
Then tonight i came on and ended up winning it all back plus a bit more, poker is a weird game at times. In the second hand i was on a bit of a heater, and shoved my set to protect against a flush draw, bad i know. I ended up getting quad 3s on the river.
Hope you are doing well at the tables tonight. Good luck
In this hand, I thought he was making a move so called his raise pre, plus ive got position.
When he checks the flop, i bet the flop which i am happy enough with.
On the turn when he checks I should of fired out again.
On the river i called because it looked like a bluff.
Hey,
Just a quick update, current bankroll £117.33, i was down to under £100 and back up to £140.
Just sat down at a 5p 10p table and lost a buy in lol
I always wondered what makes a good player good, and how they got to where they were. I posted up to ask how TommyD got to where he is. Interestingly, he started with £60 and after winning an MTT, that took him into the 100s it just went from there. A bit of good luck early doors surely helps, however it just shows the skill that has taken Tommy through the levels to the top on sky.
I was grinding out 2p-4p to see about making a profit. I'm not that bothered about that for the time being, I play poker for a bit of fun, it's a great game with a great dynamic. Just now the main thing is that I still enjoy playing. It would be nice to see a profit, but aslong as i'm still enjoying it and not getting bored that's my priority right now.
When i started the MTT thread, it was to see if i could make a profit from them, i now know i'm far off from that. But i enjoy these the most, for the next while I am going to play a bit more of these, win or lose they are good fun.
I've also started playing hu turbos, which are really good fun. So far i've done reasonable well in these, think i've won more than i lost.
Still gonna play a bit of cash but not to the same extent as before.
Poker is a lot of psychology, and the as it is the now no way would i achieve making a profit from playig poker.
I just make way 2 many bad decisions/ chase cards when i should be folding. I'm not saying this because i am on a bad run, but genuinely when i look at the last week i have just been playing bad.
Going forward, i'm most interested in still enjoying the game and if i make a profit it's a bonus.
For the next week, i'm going to post up every night what i've played in the day and how it's went/ profit and loss.
Was up at the football today, Motherwell scored late on to delay the Champions another couple of weeks! Celtic trounced Hibs 3-0, some cracking banter at the football.
Going to get in some poker tonight, no pressure just for the fun:D
Saturday 6th April
