Something has badly happened to our beloved Rich! I've just looked at the leaderboard and he hasn't cashed...and has actually crashed OUT of the mini!
I suspect it was either a runner, runner situation, or he GII with something good like aces and got outdrawn.
It CAN happen! In a DYM this afternoon I had a maniac betting into me like a.... maniac, and eventually the maniac was all-in...I had a significant stack as I'd won a big hand previously and this time I was holding QQ's one of the top three starting hands in NLHE, and much to my suprise he "turns over" K7.
The hand ran itself out and to my suprise the chips slid over to mr Maniac, as he had somehow finished with the best hand, holding 2xpr's K's & 7's!!!
My BR is currently just shy of £40 having made my 1st deposit recently and I usually frequent the 60p level of DYM's. However my results and positings are creating somewhat of a heated debate and there's quite alot of fretting about the rake levels at the micro stakes.
Be-all is that I'm merely a recreational player, who'd occasionally like a crack at the big events. and One of these day's I WILL Join you in the weds re-buys!
Why not pop over to my thread and take a look at the interesting debate! Regards Gary.
PS - U/L tonight rich. must have Looked good for a while with a sizable chip-stack - only for that to go spinning away!
Yeah, I've been running really good in the mini week-in week-out and thought I was on for another final table tonight.
Not to be. I won't bore you with the details but, since you asked ;-) ...it was a cooler situation- I got all my money in good with Queens against 10s on a rainbow flop of undercards and the 10s ended up making a straight.
Finishing the night on a potentially good note though- currently 5th out of 7 in a £200 GTD MTT. 32 entered and 5 get paid.
Cheers Ian, always good to see friendly faces round the table if you go deep in a main event. Hope you managed a decent cash last night, you were certainly running well when I departed! I'll be back next week, aiming to improve on my recent string of final table/bubble near misses!

Aint kept up with this thread in a while, will have to pop in more often. You still play cash at all or just sticking to MTTs atm?
