    Thanks Gary,
yes, deffo take a £4.90 win every day of the week.
imagine if you were playing nl4 cash &  won over a buy-in each night, then moved up to nl10 & did the same, etc, etc.

day  78  Saturday  30/8/14   day off
day  79  Sunday    31/8/14   day off

Another month over, here's the figures:-

b/r  start of August  £142.87  (inc julys c4p)

b/r  end of August  £215.69   (not inc Aug c4p of £6.43  to come)

    August profit  £72.82   (£79.25 inc Aug c4p)

tbh i didn't exactly play that many sessions or games this month, so i'm happy with those results.
edit[  9 days off + 1 day only played 1 x £3 game, so only played 21 from 31 days really.

on to September, & much the same continuing with £3 & £2 games, now dropping £1 altogether.
next target getting to £300 then once i'm over that will concentrate on the £3 games only, as long as b/r remains over £300.
(still unsure as to playing the £5 games or not, but if i do, then it wouldn't be until b/r reaches £500 anyway, giving me the full 100 buy-ins, so plenty of time yet before i make that descision...
probably will play a few to test the water, then go from there.)

anyway, i'm still feeling good & more importantly 'fresh' & ready for hopefully even more poker to come from me this month, with my only target being to reach the £300 target, which I think is easily possible providing I play & run ok.

Many thanks for all your support, it's always appeciated.
sorry it's not very exciting, apart from 1 little mishap this month 1 x £27 loss, it's been pretty much 'boring as usual' but that's suits me just fine, these days anyway  :)

hope you all run good in September...
    be lucky,
    dev

day  80  monday  1/9/14   day off
    day  81  tuesday  2/9/14

    £3   W  1   +£2.70
           L   6   -£19.80
                   ----------
                   -£17.10

    £2   W  14   +£24.50  (edit 3/9/14)
           L   8    -£18.00
                      ---------
                    +£6.50

    LOST  £10.60    B/R  £205.09    PTS  84

0-5 down on the £3,  lost last 2 x £2 games, so all in all about right today...
could have been worse, not much... could have been better.
got to get used to the bigger losses now but that should also mean bigger wins too, so swings & roundabouts.
definitely going to be upping the volume this month, so there's going to be a few ups & downs coming starting from today.
not going to be 'booking the wins' from now on either, unless b/r drops down to the £150 region, & I feel I need to, to simply climb back to £200 again.
it's full steam ahead from now on...let's get this show moving... one way or the other.
playing 6 tables today, still feel thats ok & am able to keep up with play. will continue for a few days...see how it goes. if needed can always drop to 4, if I feel I need to.
happy with my game today, so not going to panic...just yet anyway  :)

Ul today Dev, just keep going, I know you're going to start bossing this soon.

You've really inspired me to sort out how I manage my games too and I'm seeing better results so far because of it, so thanks.

    Thanks Jingles,
(sorry mate, only looked quickly this morning, saw the avatar & thought it was Garylaud i was repling to).  :)
(old age mate... comes to all of us in the end  lol )
glad i've been of some help mate.
yes deffo need to use good brm, as you know just how quickly a bankroll can drop if you are not carefull, which is why i now give myself plenty margin of error & now have a drop down levels set figure in place just in case.
it always looks worse on paper than the session actually was, as 1 x £3 game on bubble i was allin with AK V A 10 & 10 hits on river, which in effect on paper is a £6 swing/loss, just winning that 1 game alone would make it a £4 loss not £10, so it's never quite as cut & dry as it first looks.
anyway, another day today so got to stay positive & try & get some ground back.
    run good yourself mate,
    dev

better session on the £3 games, thought i won 2-1  but nice surprise to find it was 3-1 in the end.
b/r is at it's highest so far, i think, so really happy, as i now have a fairly comfortable £70 surplus to play the £3 & £2 games, in other words the difference between b/r & the £150 b/r point i've given, should i need to drop down levels.

                   +£6.00

    WON  £16.20    B/R  £239.02     PTS  174

AT LAST, THE SESSION I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR... a nice win at both levels.
now hopefully can stay at £3 & £2 levels, & make some progress this month.
    still playing 6 tables...
also not having them in any order, ie; £3's in one area £2's in another..as i have been/used to do.
now just placing them randomly,(did this yesterday for the first time), so trying not to identify them whilst playing, & treating each game equally,
ie; trying not to prioritise the £3 games over the £2's.
yes, you can cheat & simply look at the top of each table to see which is which,(which i do sometimes), but when you have 4 or 5 all on the go, on the bubble especially, then this is when this random tabling comes into effect the most.
anyway, thought i'd mention it. will it work tomorrow? probably not, but i'll try it for the next few sessions & give you my findings on it.

    In Response to £40 to £1,040.... dev's 2nd DYM challenge....(current b/r £265.52)...9/9/14 Hoooray it's my birthday today.:
Hi all, Just deposited £40, not played any poker properly for a long time.( been busy teaching myself to paint, watercolours mainly for the past 12 months). Got fed up with playing cash a long time ago. so decided today to try another DYM challenge, the money is always nice, but also just for the fun of it, hopefully anyway. I'm sure many of you will know I did this exact same challenge 2 years ago now...how time flies,so it will be interesting to see how this one compares I think. how long will it take? I guess is always a good question. I am in no particular hurry to finish this, but before xmas would be nice. not sure how many tables I'll play or how long each session will be, but it definitely won't be as 'full on' as last time.(by that I mean playing 100-150 games per night, :) EDIT; 9/7/14 I'll start at the £1 games as I did last time, and hopefully move up to the £3's if/when  b/r is around the £300 region. I WILL SHOW YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT THE £1 LEVEL IS BEATABLE.   (all this rubbish I hear about how the 15% makes it almost impossible to win, is rubbish, and how 'the house' is the only winner, is laughable. :)  EDIT END. EDIT; 1/8/14  finished playing £1 as my b/r is now getting close to £150, so will concentrate on £2 & £3 games from now on. had a 65% win rate playing them in July & showed a profit of £45.90 from playing them. not sure if i'll bother with £5 level this time, as this move definitely slowed me down considerably last time. anyway, that's it, just need to load up some tables now & get cracking. hope you will enjoy this diary and if anyone has any questions, especially you DYM players, feel free to ask them. all for now, best wishes, Dev. ps;  HERE IS A LINK TO MY FIRST DYM CHALLENGE FROM 2 YEARS AGO, IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO LOOK AT.
