Been out all weekend, but followed bits n pieces of it on R5L, who are amazing at golf commentary. I watched the highlight's show when I got home, and I must say WOW! doesn't the ryder cup always deliver some almost GOD-Like golf and some of the shots were breathtaking! Matt Kuchar's holing out from an Iron Shot in the fairway, and Justin Rose stiffing it from an almost impossible position in the rough..

    AND THEN!

Then there was donaldson's magnificent Iron into the green to a foot away "seal the deal" and WIN the ryder cup, was just awesome!

There was just the ONE deciding factor in what really WAS a very close event. The foursomes. The American's Losing the foursomes by 7-1 was just inexcuseable. There's also been alot of heat in the press bout what Mickleson was saying in the aftermath, and I think, YES he is highlighting what was done right when they Won, but that is something which SHOULD be said in a few days time, when looking back and the dust has settled.

Basically by Saying it NOW, when the trophy had only been given out that very same day (probably minutes/hours ago) he really HAS undermimed Watson as Captain and sent out totally the Wrong Signals!!!

    Basically, my oppinion is this!

"Come on Phil, If YOU, think that YOU have all the Bright Ideas, they why not YOU step up, Be Captain, and then when we win the ryder cup AGAIN in your OWN backyard, THEN try and tell us what IS/ISN'T right about America's Strategy!"

I think the basica fact at present, is that currently Europe has a Golden Age of Golfer's and that our guys have far more Talent than the American's and are alot more closer-Nit than they can ever DREAM of being...

Whilst this remains in place, I can't see the Americans winning the Ryder Cup much before my Little Niece of 8-9 Months old Goes to Primary School!!!!

Well that's My Rant over with! Happy with the result anyhoo!

C U on the tables on Monday!!! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii :D

    day 108  monday  29/9/14

    WON £1.10   B/R  £335.68   PTS  £9.75  TO COME

went £9 down in session before tea, gulped that down.. cottage pie, then ground it back afterwards :)
so happy with a small w today :)
last couple of sessions found i was loading up more & more tables,(old habits, i guess), playing 8-10 tables, which i've been trying to avoid doing, so got to try & get back to playing 6 again during October, as i think 6 is my optimum now.

    day 113  saturday  4/10/14

    lost £17.60   b/r £349.93   pts 344

was doing fine until my dippy nephew switched the internet off with 1x£5 & 2x£3 games going all on the bubble or there abouts :(
anyway, it's happened & nothing much I can do about it now...
obviously I'm unhappy about it but what can you do.

i did play 3 x £5 games & won 2 from 3 before this happened so making some progress there at least.
just a shame my session & day ended this way, but it was an accident, so have to accept it & start fresh again tomorrow.

couldnt leave it like that could I so....

    played 2 x £5    3 x £3   &  1 x £2   only won the lot... hoooray

Maybe there is a God after all  :)

    EDIT:  £5 GAMES  WON 5  LOST 2   profit £11.50

i'll try & keep a record going, just as interest & to record profit/loss from these higher games & to see if they are profitable or not over this months play.

ps; I didn't plan on playing the £5 games until my b/r reached £500,  but Mrs Duck convinced me I should try them, so I have... thanks Ducks for giving me that little push I needed.
You are an inspiriation to us all & long may it continue my good friend  x

Ha ha, I did think something like that myself mrs D

anyway, i'm not silly & if i find i am losing money playing them i would soon stop, which is another good reason to keep a record of my progress playing them :)
off to a good start anyway, so i am feeling confident about playing them this time.
table selection is a priority for me at the moment, not much point playing against 2 or more reg's on any table, so as long as i can keep to that then i should be ok,... hopefully.

have a good day Ducky, hope you run better than y'day,
    dev x

    LOST £5.25   B/R £379.08   PTS 446

    £5  W3  L2               TOTAL W 10    L 4   PROFIT £23.00

struggled today so not to unhappy losing just £5
did lose a  1 x £5 game allin with AK V AQ  villain hit Q on river, which basically cost me £10 but i guess it all levels out in the long run, so just have to accept it, at least I did nothing wrong in that game.
still happy, maybe didn't play my A game today but still happy with the progress on the £5 front, so no complaints, as it's only been 4 days since we started playing them.

Maybe we got our sticks crossed Dev ~ when I said not at all I thought you were talking about if I was upset to see you had recovered your losses after you initially posted you'd made a loss?
Either way I don't wish you anything but the best! I wouldn't have made the joke about your nephew had I thought it would upset you. I pretty much see this as a team challenge and want us both to succeed for Xmas, ok? :)
    See you tomorrow x

As I'm a true sportsman Mrs D I'll take it in the spirit that i'm sure it was intended.
it just didn't come across well & it was only the fact that I managed to get a good win in straight afterwards that saved the day.
anyway, it was my problem not yours, just thought you might have at least acknowledged what had happened & maybe shown some compassion or sympathy, as I 'm sure had it been the other way around I would have done. even an 'unlucky dev' would have been nice or 'nice bounce back' or something, but I guess as you are no sports woman you wouldn't understand.
In fact, had it happened to you I would have said not to count that as a loss towards your profit/loss column for our challenge, even though it would still show up as a loss on your bankroll.now perhaps you can see the difference between a true sportsman & someone who is not.
anyway, we can't change what has happened or what was or wasn't said, so lets move on from here. today is another day & let's get things back to something like normal.
I hope you have a good day & get a nice win in & recover some of that loss you had yesterday.
    best wishes,
    dev
