Hi buddy glad your enjoying the diary. When i was 18-22 i was deposting and cashing out so never had a proper bankroll back then but since then i've always had a decent bankroll by grinding through the years.
Question -: How do you find the patience to play the same games over and over? I have tried to play games I am profitable at over and over but often find I get drawn to games where I have a smaller edge or am -EV
If you wernt doing this for a living would you be playing different games?

Hmmm i would say the main reason i stick just to mainly dym's is I find I get my best results when I focus on just 1 format and yeah when i wasnt full time I was playing most formats of poker

Hi all so 4 more solid days and the month contiunes to go pretty smoothly. Good day today booked my Vegas flights for the Sky poker trip little bit more expensive than last year but its cool sky gave us £1k so still got abit left over. Also the Legend that is Donttelmum sadly hasnt won a seat yet but ive said he can be my +1. Good luck to everyone chasing them remaining seats.
DTM run good. I tried and failed and then Timmy came to my rescue. Absolutely delighted to be going back, last year was such a blast. Can't thank Timmy enough and will defo return the favour.
Hi all so a solid start to my weekend on the tables but then had too decent size losing days.
Yesterday played a few tourneys on stars bricked all of them.
Played a few on sky cashed the £33 BH coming 14th i think for a small profit and then came 3rd in the Mini roller. So back to the Dym's this week and try and get the month back on the track. Premier League now over well after the Man u game Tuesday nite so sad times. Cant wait for the Summer of sport French open tennis Wimbledon and the Euro's come on ENGLAND

No worries legend on the site so the free seat is well deserved . Will be looking forward to the next sky promo trip so i can put my feet up and let you grind for the package
Nice steady results Timmy! I did notice the flights were on average about £100 up on last year but not a big deal as you say with Sky giving us the £1k. Posted by markycash
Yeah defianlty mate sky gives us so much on this trip so its cool with me and like I said a few quid left over.

Yeah mate, flights booked, some $$'s put aside and my father is coming along as my +1. My partner has been on a lot of trips with me but she hates flying and has kindly offered to watch our 2 crazy dogs and hold the fort down here. My dad has never been on a poker trip though and never been to Vegas or the USA, although he does play poker every night on stars so it should be a great experience for him.
Looking forward to this one and the 10k starting stack in the event isn't too bad compared to others

Very nice buddy sounds like your sorted and thats very cool of you taking your old man he will love it.
Hi all posting a day earlier as I'm not about 2morrow tried a few sats this week for WPT $1100 at DTD this weekend and got my seat last nite £126 in total so happy with that as the seat is worth £759. Would usually play the Saturday day 1 but as im a big Man u FAN were going to play 2morrow's day1 so I can watch us win the FA CUP so if we make it through day 2 is sunday and day3 Monday. Couple of losing days on Dym's so need to get them winning days back.
Hi all. So I went and played the WPT Friday at DTD tourney didnt go well didnt play very well and abit of run bad out after 3 hours which isnt good but we learn from it and move on to the next one. The actually winner qualifed for 1c and got £140k sick story thats why we love these big tourneys. Results online still been up and down so cant get the month from being ok to a good month so will grind through the week and then have the weekend off time for a few drinks saturday and sunday nice little warm up for vegas.
Enjoyed the Fa Cup Saturday what a goal to win it. GG Van Gaal weirdly enjoyed the time youve been manger maybe for the wrong reasons but you left with a Trophy and a nice pay off enjoy your retirement Sir. Never been a fan of Jose's bad losing antics but the blokes a winner and pretty sure hes going to bring some superstars with him so should be some exciting times ahead cant wait for the next prem season.
Hi all so 3 steady + days since last update and 3 more playing days left of the month. Going out for a few drinks sunday then out for the day with the family Monday. Really hope that Sheff W can win the playoffs as i did a 4 fold and it needs France for the Euro's for £1400 but still would rather England win it promise . Also Champs league final really hope A Madrid win.
Hi all hope you had a good bank holiday ? Mine was decent few beers saturday + Champ playoff and Champs league final VUL A Madrid really thought you was going to get the win. Then had a alldayer sunday for my auntie's 50th then hangover Monday Tuesday
Bad losing day yesteday but overall not a bad few days to end the Month.

Hi all hope everyone is having a good start to the month ? Pretty poor start for me cant get any thing going at the minute down - £209 at Dym's but its cool I'm confident were turn it around. Pretty much more grinding this week and then a good day on the drink for England vs Russia Saturday cant wait .

Hours = 8
Total = + £161

Hi all so as you can see my results so far this month are still pretty poor cant get a run going at the minute. My targets was a £2500-£3000 month before we head to vegas good chance that wont happen now so if i can get to £1400-£1600 I will really happy with that.
Really enjoying the Euro's so far alot of quality goals flying in. Other than the result I was impressed with England's performance I cant wait for the Wales game Thursday.
Hi all so alot better results this week making + £603 on Dyms + few points added up and even got a 2nd in the Priority freeroll 1 tabling on my Ipad :0
3 weeks till Vegas so not many days off coming up as i want to put a nice bit volume in before i head out as I'm out there for 2 weeks and it usually takes a week to recover.
Really enjoying the England games been to my local for every game and will be doing the same 2nite.
watched you play a lot and great to see a pro write a diary! I think that having a 15-20k profit is a VERY decent wage. People need to remember that is tax free, so if earning 20k net that is like a regular 30-35k job which is better than average 27 year old! PLUS........ that wage plus your doing a job you LOVE = priceless. Run well and look forward to reading the progres Posted by Nuggy962
I know this was posted a while ago, but I had to wade in to correct this piece of complete nonsense. 20k is not equivalent to a 30-35k regular job. 20k is equivalent to a 22.25k regular job. Income tax is 0% for below £11,000 and 20% for £11,000 to £43,000.

If you're being exact about this kind of thing then £20,000 net take home pay in 2016/2017 assuming a tax code of 1100L would be £24,754.12 gross - not £22.5k
