I find it interesting as to how people are getting on.
Before this started, my own prediction was that the results would range from 6ish to 21ish. I know I've run that bad and equally that good ,over the course of 25 games in the past and suspect most here have too. What with it being a sprint rather than a marathon, absolutely nowt would surprise me. I am keen to see how accurate my results prediction would be though.

What's happened to Talon, does he still play? Posted by Macacgirl1
Yes, but only very occasionally, rarely more than one DYM per day, & not every day. I only know this from Sharkscope. A terrific player & he has a really good grasp of PLO8 & DYM logic.
In Response to Re: PLO8 DYM Competition MKII : Yes, it was brilliant. I think I'm chatted out now though. At one point I was engaged in 3 convos at the same time. Posted by Macacgirl1
Reached the heady heights of the £3.30 DYMs, but ran into Mac, who with the old one-two combo of chat and good play, managed to do for me on this run. Mrs mac I'll be back.

Turns out I was Mac attacked whilst she was busy cooking......Outrageous!
I must have been still reeling from the one-two combo, because I lost the next one sharpish too.

Hi cheez, Yes you must ALWAYS use 2 of your hole cards. Takes a bit of getting used to.
When learning the game you should use the little message that appears on the table saying what your hi and lo (if there is one) actually is.
Other common mistakes are not understanding the lo properly. flushes or straights do not matter in lo hands so A2345 is the nut lo.
Also you can both have say a 7lo but still lose as the 2nd card counts then the 3rd etc so a 7543A loses to a 7532A for example.
The beauty of this community is that 99.9% of the time you do not get abused for making a mistake, in fact if you admit to learning and not understanding something the table will generally help you out in chat there and then.
There are some good resources on here - some threads under "Sit&Go Strategy" are dedicated to PLO8 and also in the "Academy" section here...

Incidentally, how much fun were the tables last night?
Epic scenes all round. Loved every minute.
I used to be Meatloaf in a Tribute Band actually.
