    MINI POKER WEEKEND

On Friday, at Luton, I ran really good.

Early doors, a flopped set of 2's in a 3 way coup v T-T & a nut flush draw & top pair, my hand held, & I was up & running.

A no-brainer with Jacks v a shortie with Aces resulted in the Jack being the Binky Door Card. Sorry fella.

I needed two trays to move my chips to the next table, which caused some hilarity amongst the Regs there, who know me usually as 2 chip tikay, never mind 2 trays.

But it all went Pete Tong in the Final, I got outdrawn three hands running, & from Chip Daddy I was soon the Chip Low.

I shoved 3 hands in a row with air (I had 30k with Blinds 3k-6k) & thankfully failed to get looked up, then tried it once more with A-3. This time I found a shover AND a re-shover behind, so that appeared to be Taxi for tikay.

The hands my A-3 had to beat were A-K & 9-9. The 2-4-5 flop was rather pleasing.......

By 4am, 4 of us were left, & 2 of them wanted to cut a deal. No prob, we soon chopped it up without much argument, there was about £4,300 between us.

Then we had to play one hand blind, to settle up the League Points, so everyone goes all-in pre-flop, & the cards are turned face up, & the Board dealt. It was A-K, A-Q, J-T, & my 9-5. Ship the rivered 5 on an 8 high board, & tikay was declared the official winner.

It's a game of skill, I tell ya.

OK, gotta go, need to answer some threads where everyone says they are running bad, or the site is rigged. They need to get out a bit more imo. Poker is the same everywhere - we get lucky, we get unlucky. I just get luckier than most. ;)

I will really try for the next one, they sound such a good laff.  Cardiff is good for me, can get a train direct.  Is it a 2 night stopover.  I will need to know so I can prime the missus.  Long gone are the days I could go out at the drop of a hat and go on a 4 day binge without telling a soul

I imagine you have a list of standard pro-forma replies to these types of posts that you just copy and paste from a saved word document. "Variance is part of poker...". "What would sky, or any other poker site for that matter, have to gain from rigging..."  lol

Great idea about another weekend tikay, let us know of some free dates you may have before vegas m8.
By the way Sir, the new casino in Cardiff is Les Croupiers - so nothing new - they have just moved locations.

Do you mean as a group, as we did last weekend, or do you mean individuals?

Many of us go there quite regularly, but as a Sky Poker raiding party, I imagine we will probably do it every few months if anyone fancies it.

Okay mate, be good to meet ya. I might head up to Luton...don't think I'll play the £75 game but I'll probably sit down at cash or a little SitnGo or something.
