    Very well done bracewell and all the others who cashed. Playing on my phone it's killing me. But I managed to get 199 in 1k fr and got a quid. So Impressed with that am getting better at playing on my phone now.

    Late in from work today.  Very sorry to miss the DTD this week.

    Apologies to all that I have been rather elusive of late.  Around a month or so ago I decided I needed a break from poker. I was playing badly and not really enjoying the game.  It got to the stage when I was playing on autopilot and rather a poor autopilot at that.  Rather than rely on self control alone, I used the Self-exclusion option on Sky to take a month off, without realising it also excluded me from the forum and from observing.

    So, as I result, I have been unable to congratulate the likes of Angel on great victories and more importantly to offer my huge condolences on the very sad news.  So sorry to hear the news of Dale, never met him in person but he was clearly an inspiration to many.

    After a disappointing Sunday (near miss on Notts in the UKPC final - 18th with 15 seats, small cash in the mini roller and a mid game exit in the Roller) I nearly didn't bother tonight.

    Got in at 9.30pm from work, just in time to late reg the UKPC semi and the £50 9pm BH.  Also played the £50 10.30pm BH.  Anyhow glad I did...

    Sad Farewell to Dale......R.I.P.our dear Friend.

    ......and I'm sorry to say a sad farewell to SKY POKER for a long, long time. I have decided that after last week, it's cost me enough in my quest to get to the UKPC Finals in Nottingham, and after my experiences today, trying to play (only) 2 tables and constantly losing connection. I have decided enough is enough, and to stop playing on here altogether.
    Having complained about the issues I have been having, I was treated with utter contempt by one of the technical support staff (Daniel B). I can understand that they may be having technical issues, but these arent my fault, and when I told them how unhappy I was, to be told......"Great......have a good day" was just so disgusting that I no longer want to be part of SKY POKER and I am going to play elsewhere.

    I wish you all the best, and I'm sure I may well return one day.....I will certainly keep popping into the TPT forum to check up on all of you, coz I class you and the Poker community as my friends.........

    .......and one thing I have noticed is that when you have time away you certainly seem to come back with a WINNING flourish.........FUNNY THAT !!!!!!!! 
    I think GELDY worked that one out some time ago.........( :D}
    WELL DONE MattP and Bracewell on your fantastic cashes and GOOD LUCK to you ALL..........

    I am totally beside myself reading this! Jez I am totally gutted and really upset at reading this. I love it when we are on the same table and also railing when your on a table. We bounce off one another and we seem to read each others minds. I am always in fits of laughter with tears in my eyes from our banter. You my dearest Jezabelle will be really sadly missed. xxxx  I really hoped that you would be going to notts so I could eventually meet my partner in mischief. Miss you already.

    Beautiful Flowers Jonny. It was a great service and justice was done to a great man. There were tears and laughter and many many poker stories told. I for one wish that when I go I could have a service as good as that one.

    Hi all

    Not long back from attending Dales funeral.  It was one of the "best" funerals I've ever been to - Dale would have been proud of his family and friends today I think.  It was definately a mixture of tears and laughter - and some lovely tales told of his poker exploits and 2nd family (i.e. Sky poker family).  Members from various teams attended - TPT, Dragons, Outlaws, TKP, Team 51 and a few independents  (apologies if I've missed any other teams but I always struggle to remember who is in which team lol).  Was an enjoyable day (even if it was in sad circumstances) and I could almost hear Dale giving his approval to the whole thing.  The flowers were fantastic (and yes Jonny I did see the noticable blue ones but can't seem to load the photo I took of them).

    Now for the poker news - I am saddened to read that Misty is considering going AWOL for a bit.  I completely understand your frustration Misty as I have been struggling to get the forum and the games to load since I got in tonight.  I had a different chat operator though who was apologetic for the site not working - and so I'd decided to just have night off (as it happens I managed to get into the UKPC semi game just before end of late reg so I'm giving that a go).  I hope you'll be back sooner rather than later as the place won't be the same without you xx

    Its been a while since I have been on the forum and I am stunned, shocked and totally devastated to see the news about Dale.
    My thoughts and deepest sympathy to family, friends and all who knew Dale.

    I wish you all the best. Sometimes a break is for the best anyway if we are feeling frustrated, but hopefully you will be back playing again in the near future.


    I was deffinately frustrated last night as I spent over 2 hrs trying to log on and eventually just gave up.

    Been feeling a bit low recently and up to my eyeballs in it at work so my game is suffering because of it, so i'm having the night off tonight and will see how I feel tomorrow.

    Although getting hammered by QPR on FIFA is a little frustrating too at times :)

    Best of luck at the tables all. (as long as the site is a bit more stable tonight)

    Made FT of 10.45 B.H am starting to like this tourney ;) lol

    went all in with AK and the chip leader went all in with AQ couldn't not call, flop came up with a aq so was out. Apologies from the chip leader for knocking me out. Said don't be, I'm happy enough, that's poker. They said didn't deserve to be knocked out like that in the final 4. Least I got to FT again! and I cashed again! so here's my results.............

    Many thanks Trev, Angel, Roseeeee and MiliG for your kind words and offers of support too. It does mean a lot to have the support of such a great team......and to be fair SKY have given me a small goodwill gesture for the problems I, and many others experienced, though they still havent told me what they have done about the attitude of their tech. support staff which is what annoyed me more than anything. 
    I've managed to treble their goodwill gesture up with a few nice winners on the horses, which makes me feel a bit better too. I'm enjoying the break from Poker, and also watching the Golf from St. Andrews(I've backed Luke Donald e/w at 90/1, Matt Kuchar e/w at 55/1, and Louis Oosthuizen e/w at 25/1. Hopefully it will inspire me coz Golf is something I need to concentrate more on, and try and get back into.

    Nice to see you doing well Angel, keep it up and GOOD LUCK to everyone else.........

    Hi Misty, sorry to hear your having a tough time atm. Was the problems you encountered on Tues night? If so can understand your frustration, I had problems just getting the site to work and then once it was the games were almost unplayable.

    I have not been in contact with cc yet, if I had of that night the way i was feeling and they were denying responsibility and claiming it was the customers computers fault, as i have heard from others was a common response, I would prob be fuming too.

    Anyhow I hope you come back feeling refreshed after a (short) break : ) In the meantime good luck with the gigi's and golf and dont be a stranger.
