Hi mate,  glad to see the BR going steadily in right direction, but i'm a bit shocked that you won't take a more determined shot at the £5 level. I'ld be amazed if your edge was really significantly lower at that level.
If it was me I'ld set aside my C4P money at least for a shot at the next level.

    hi simon,
    ty m8,
yeah,i have played £5 quite a few times but just can't seem to make the breakthrough.
it is without doubt imo the 1st level where there is a definate increase in standard of play.
i just don't have any edge there atall,so at least playing at £3 i feel i do have a slight edge also simply by the number of tables i can play, atm between 12 and 15.
i will get to my target of £1000 playing just £3's & then i might win another £100 on top & use that money for another attempt at £5 and not worry if i lose it,if that makes any sense.
    anyway,
still got some way to go yet,but am confident now with my strategy in place it shouldn't take me too much longer b4 we get this thing done & dusted.
    best wishes
    :)

    hi rancid,
    yes m8 they certainly do,
believe it or not i was on £310.20 on the 1st of this month...
    now on £639.40 today,so up £329.20 for last 19 days(inc july c4p..£64.58)
so up £264.62 from actual play for 19 days = a profit of £13.93 every day!!!
who would have ever thought that?

    or another stat....
now averages out to a profit of £5.39 per day for 111 days.
(a slight improvement on the £1 per day i was on not to long ago.)
    be lucky

    DAY  112
    mon  20/8/12

    lost  £34.80

    b/roll £604.60

    c4p  119
    total 2961 = £41.45 to come.

    deffo not my nite tonight.
lost connection earlier with 11 tables running so should have taken that as a sign.
still ,no worries it was always waiting 4me just around the corner,i guess.
didn't matter what i went in with, the best hand or the worst hand, also lost more flips than Tom Daley has ever made.
still,i know these nights will happen from time 2 time otherwise you wouldn't get any action from let's just call them 'the weaker players',would you.
got 2 take the rough with the smooth.
i have also found that the best way to 'deal with these horrible nights' is simply to laugh out loud when they happen.i have found that getting upset & swearing is the nxt best thing, which i guess is what the vast majority of us do.but laughing is deffo going 2b the way forward for me i think as you might as well enjoy yourself whilst you are getting beat!!!  lol (i'd be interested to know how others deal with these losing nights?)
    anyway,
c4p coming along quite nicely so it's not all 'doom 'n' gloom
    back tomorrow.
    :)

UL dude. You get those days unfortunately where you cant seem to win a hand. Ive had a couple of those recently more so where I cant seem to win any flips or if if i go in 60% fav. Had to resort to playing their "game"

    hi mj,
yes it can be very frustrating at times, can't it.
but i've shown that 'over time' it does pay to go in with the best hand,
so you can't let 1 silly night put you off.
    best wishes m8,

What times of the day do u usually play? Prob worth me railing a few games just to get a feel for how DYMs are supposed to be played. I tried a couple today and in both I was a pretty large stack on the bubble but got carried away and bored at the same time and tried to donk out the shorter stacks and ended up being 4th myself!!

    hi m8,
i play pretty much every night from about 6/6.30pm untill i've had enough, usuually 3-4 hours.
yes, just tighten up when you have got a big chip stack around the bubble & let the 2 sm stacks fight it out.
also,if u can avoid calling all-ins amap and be more aggressive yourself.
i'm no expert but it's like most things, the more you play them the better you get at them,i guess.
how many tables are you playing atm?
if it's just 2 tables why not increase it to 3 or 4,as the more you can play the better, imo.
also gets you more c4p which believe me also boosts your b/roll especially as you increase no. of tables like i have.

Im on the laptop when I play usually so at most 2 tables; any more and I cant concentrate on the live game! I was being aggressive, shipping a fair bit on short stacks. I certainly wasnt the one calling off my chips. I just need to watch a few games and show some restraint lol

    DAY  113
    tue  21/8/12

    WON  £43.50

    £500 freeroll won £3.75

    total won £47.25

    b/roll  £651.85

    c4p  201
    total 3162 = £50.59 to come

what a diference a day makes...
    -£34.80 y/day + £47.25 today  my all-time record, i think....hooooray!!!

actually today was the 1st day that my mouse has worked properly ever since i had my anti-virus installed some 12 days ago,so that meant i could play the full 15 tables and be in control of things, which was lovely
as i have really been struggeling up untill today.
tbh i did run pretty good tonight ,about time too though as i really have been running bad for a few days .

i am just hoping that whatever may have been causing my mouse to misbehave so badly(naughty mouse),
has finally sorted itself out & i can fully consentrate on my poker again.

funny thing was i really wasn't even looking forward to playing tonight after y/day & i was going to have a really short session if my mouse played up again,as i was fully expecting it to,and i had earlier today been in to my local computer shop and told them about the problem with the outcome being that i would take it into them tomorrow for them to look at it.
funny how things can go sometimes, isn't it?

    anyway,
happy bunny tonight,so got to make the most of it....
    'coz 1 things 4sure....
you know it 'aint goin to last.!!!  lol

Excellent progress, very well played Dev.

I'm seriously impressed with your results and looking forward to buying you that pint for finishing first.

    Well done Pal,

Your really going well.Played a big session at £3 DYM myself tonight.Well 12 games is a lot for me.Good night myself won 9 out of 12.You were on 7 of my first 8 tables.A bit daunting but both cashed in the majority of them.As I only play 4 at a time I can sometimes see the chat box.Seen some really strange comments tonight. One guy on two of my tables was calling me loads for not playing enough hands and how bad I was for not making up the blinds on level 2.The guy limped in every hand.He then told me its easy to just fold and wait for aces which I did and took him out.(I never reply to negative comments). The games seem to run a lot longer than I remember maybe 1 out of 12 tables did we lose a player on level 1 or 2.Might see you at the tables over the next few days as they say strike while the iron is hot.

    Run good Pal

Railed a few of your DYMs this eve. Picked up a fair few tips from what I saw. Well done on reaching your all time high. :) I saw what you meant about questionable play at that level...

    hi Gary,
    ty m8,
like you said it's not really a race ,is it,it's all about getting to our targets.
looks as though i will be there quite soon if i can keep this nice run i'm on atm going.
    anyway,
keep going with your own challenge m8,i'm equally impressed by what you are doing,as i can only imagine the frustration you must go through on alot of days when getting towards the serious money, you find yourself sucking out to someone with a much worse hand than yours may be.
i know DYM's can be equally as bad some days but at least i am able to counter react them by playing alot of games at the same time, which 8 or 9 times out of 10 gets me out of trouble.
looking forward to meeting up with you for that pint.
    run good

    hi Pat,
    ty m8,
well done last night 9 wins from 12 is excellent.
any reason why you only play 4,is it because ur using a lap top?
yes,i miss all that banter as i'm obviously playing in mini-view.
isn't it lovely though when u beat the guy that's giving it all the lip.
yes, some night some tables do go on forever,i've even had 6 players left in when on levels 5 6 & 7.
but generally you do lose 1 if not 2 by level 2 or 3,i think.
    probably see you tonight m8,
    best wishes
    :)
