ii- 2.55 Ayr - DANCE KING 7-4 - Ran superbly last time behind a horse that I think might win Cambridgeshire later in season Big Country and if he runs anywhere like the York form he will win this easily LOST, ABSOLUTELY CRIPPLED BY ANOTHER HORSE AS HE WENT TO MAKE RUN CLEAR RUN TODAY  THANK GOODNESS

OH YES SAID BIG COUNTRY ONE OF MY HORSES TO FOLLOW EARLY ON IN SEASON. ONLY REASON HE HAS LOST A RACE THIS YEAR is he was sent over too long a distance and then he came second to FRONTIERSMAN

GONE FOR bOOTS AND SPURS IN 3.30

    Hi V
Just a HU for the future, Barry Hurley who owns SEASONS HOLIDAYS (who I used to work for) nearly always backs his horses. He's a multi, multi Millionaire who likes a bet. He has had quite a bit of success, but his horses very nearly always come in in the betting. Put it this way, never back one that drifts!!!

Clowance One only just got beat into 3rd mind you (Head,Head)
I worked for Barry when this horses mother CLOWANCE finished 4th in OAKS (Frankie rode her and might have been behind OUIJA BOARD)... and I also had the pleasure of being in his Private Box at Cheltenham Festival when KAUTO STAR won his first Gold Cup, KATCHIT won Triumph Hurdle, and McCoy gave WITCHITA LINEMAN best ride ever..... and I won LOADS( for me)...... WHAT A DAY THAT WAS!!!!

Been doing well on my daily naps this week, 3 straight wins8-1.11-4 and 5-1 but terribly here the last three weeks so need to pull my socks up.

iiii- 3.00 NEWCASTLE - LONDON PRIZE 9-4- has done me some favours over the last six months both over jumps and on flat and won by 8 lengths over this distance last time out. anywhere near that here and he should win again. WINNER THIS HORSE IS GOOD

iii - 3.30 NEWCASTLE- HIGHER POWER 8-1 - ok very competitive race but his form behind ascot gold cup winner Big Orange looks outstanding value at this price. Lets hope not praying to Higher Power afterwards WINNER ALWAYS GOING WELL AND PUSHED OUT NICELY IN END.WON VERY COSILY

ii - 2.25 NEWCASTLE - KIMBERELLA 5-1 - Not a great lover of this trainer so notice needs to be taken when I go for one of his, LOL. Seriously if he reproduces the form shown last time (ran on never nearer)behind Line of Reason who followed up yesterday he should take all the beating . Won on his last try over 6f. Now watch other Fahey horse win!!!! 3RD AFTER BEING SLAMMED AGAINST THE RAIL WHEN MAKING RUN, REALLY UNLUCKY

I - 2.55 CHESTER -TOWN CHARTER 15-2 - Something not quite right with this horse form. Assistant Trainer said this horse will think it is running loose just before Goodwood race-finished 8th. Then  in better handicap at Newmarket tipped by Jason Weaver who has close ties with Johnstons at 33-1 and finished well for 3rd. Last week nightmare at Redcar. Now has course specialist Franny Norton on board for first time instead of 7lb claimer. Hoping he fulfils potential at last 4TH DRAW AGAINST HIM AND RAN ON AT END

    other fancies

    NEWCASTLE

    1.50 ROBERO 13-2 LOST
2.25 SMALL SAVER MATTMU IN CASE HE COMES BACK IN OLD FORM - NR
    3.30 LORD GEORGE 10-1 FOR GRANDSON 4TH
4.05 GO GEORGE GO FOR GRANDSON LOST

    NEWMARKET
2.05 LORD YEATS 12-1 -Should be outclassed but won impressively last ime out and been taken out of easier races recently. If he has improved as much as his trainer and I hope he has could be a good priced winner. WINNER AND BATTLED GAMELY AND HE HAD IMPROVED

    2.40 ELIZABETH BENNETT 7-2 LOSER
    3.15 BRETON ROCK 7-2 3RD

    CHESTER
2.20 LUCKY BEGGAR 11-2  2ND SO UNLUCKY GOT BLOCKED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND FINISHED LIKE A TRAIN.
4.35 NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM 9-1 WINNER BROKE WELL AND WON WELL

    YORK
3.05 DEFOE  5-2 WINNER AND IN A NICE QUICK DOUBLE WITH LONDON PRIZE

    WINDSOR
4.25 STEEL OF MADRID 9-2 NOW BACK TO BETTER DISTANCE LAST

HERES HOPING I DO BETTER THIS WEEK.

After a  good week last week I have to keep it up but why oh why do trainers go for races when it is not the horses best distance.

iiii - 3.35 Sandown - BARNEY ROY 3-1 - Sure this horse is now going full systems go and hopefully the distance of the Eclipse will see him even better . 2ND BY A NOSE AND TREMENDOUS RACE THOUGHT HE HAD HIS HEAD DOWN ON THE LINE BUT JUST LOST IT

LATE FORECAST SAVER WITH DECORATED KNIGHT LOST

iii- 1.50 SANDOWN - BATTAASH 5-2 - This horse was a revalation last time and has obviously gone forward over the winter. C & D winner. Have to have a little saver on my old fav Goldream 3RD though and forecasts with Glodream and muthmir. WINNER WOW WOW HE IS ONE VERY SPEEDY 3 YEAR OLD AND BACK UNTIL HE LOSES , IF HE DOES !!!!!

ii - 3.15 HAYDOCK - BIG COUNTRY 7-1 - Would have been my four candles rating but trainer has gone back to 12 f his only defeat this season. They think he tried to dominate too early in that one and they will run him differently today. Only problem is he likes to dominate races but difficult for him to do this over this trip. more hopeful than certain. LOSER, WHY OH WHY DO THEY KEEP TRYING THIS HORSE OVER A TRIP HE DOESNT LIKE. HORSE TRIED HIS HEART OUT AS USUAL BUT WANDERED UNDER PRESSURE. TWO FURLONGS SHORTER HE DOESNT. SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIM FOR MAGNET CUP NEXT WEEK .

I - 3.25 BEVERLEY - TARBOOSH - 3-1 -Unfortunately missed the 9-2 and prices in between. Trainer going well with his sprinters and this won easily last time and form franked. LOSER, NEVER REALLY GOT INTO T ALTHOUGH RAN ON FROM A BAD BREAK

    Other selections
    SANDOWN
    1.20 ZEFFERINO 10-1 LOST
2.25 GEORGE WILLIAM 7-1 -Apart from last time when drawn in no mans land at Royal ascot this horse has looked almost certain of winning a big mile handicap. Hopefully this his time HAS GONE OFF THE BOIL AND DIDNT RUN HIS RACE, HAVE A FEELING HE DOESNT LIKE FIRM GROUND.

3.00 TISBUTADREAM -6-1-Another horse drawn in the back of beyond at the Royal meeting and won her side of the course  well and came ninth overall. Better luck today. WINNER AND LED MOST OF THE WAY AND SHE BATTLED SUPERBLY TO HOLD ON

4.10 -MONTALY -13-2 -Won the Chester Cup and goes well fresh so hopefully the two month break when he has been taken out of easier races wont hinder. 2ND

    HAYDOCK
2.05 -DOMINATING 9-1 - Not so well fancied as trainers other runner but hoping he can complete treble 10-1 2ND, SO WAS ON THE RIGHT JOHNSTON AND RAN WELL
2.40 - HERTFORD DANCER - 4-1 -Won the Lingfield Oaks trial and ran a terrific race at royal Ascot. Lets hope she gets compensation here. LOSER PICKED THE WRONG GOSDEN HORSE
