    It's not 2016 yet so I can have a little moan :)

Christmas Eve and Harry was properly poorly. He woke up half an hour after going to bed and absolutely everything needed changing. Spent the next hour trying to get him back to sleep to no avail. Then spent the next 2 hours driving around Derby and still no good. Finally dropped off and I felt amazing on Christmas morning after 4 hours sleep.
Harry's Mum woke up on Christmas Day with tonsillitis.
His Grandma had him last night so I could go and have a drink. Got blown out 5 minutes before going by only mate who lives close by.
    It's been testing :)

Went to the match on Boxing Day. We didn't play well but who cares? We're top of the league.

As I had nothing else to do I relented and played some dyms. Won about £30. Decided as I was home alone that I'd pop out to the casino to play some cash. The standard is still incredible. You can buy in for 500 bigs so there was probs around 3k on the table. Only played for an hour but had a nice little £90 win.

Tom Ince was in the casino. He's tiny.

Been feeling old tonight. Watched Coming to America again. Great film. Came out in 1988!
Started watching Wayne's World. 1993 for that one.

Leeds on tv tomorrow night if it doesn't get postponed. Please let us beat them this time. Only defeats of season have been to them and Forest.

    B*llocks to your resolutions
Keep up the moaning please, i don't want to be the only one.
More mtts - you're just as good at them as dyms - you just don't like the variance - your NY resolution should be to crush the mtts on sky and chill with the variance of it all.

Sick as a dog the other night.
Couldn't go into work. Bit better today.
My concerned employer rung me to invite me in for a managerial meeting to discuss my absence and how they could assist in my return to work.
A really nice gesture because my manager is also a doctor and would have been able to fix me quickly.

    Won some money :)
Not lots but good for confidence. Dyms have been going well. Not played many but it's nice to add £50 or so to the bankroll when I do play. Hopefully it'll last.
Jumped in a UKOPs sat earlier. There was ridiculous overlay and I managed to get my seat. Just took the cash which might upset one of the forum good guys.

Railed Cpfc last night. Another bracelet for him. They quite suit him.
I'd like to say he bossed it all and outplayed the opposition. Truth is, he flopped a set every 3rd hand and his opponent always had just enough to ensure that he got another double up.
Definitely as with his football team, he's punching above his weight.

Leeds lived up to their image last night and attempted to kick us off the park. We didn't play well but not a bad point I spose.
They have a most likeable manager. He's absolutely perfect for them.

Been happy with my poker this month

Pride comes before a fall :)

Realised that if I raked $40 today I would get a $75 rtr bonus.
So I played and ran like poop. Lost £49 (was a lot worse)
Got the points I needed. Checked currency converter and I'll get £50.65

    Win ;)

No more moaning from me. This could be tough!

    Happy New Year you lot

Fun couple of days to start the month.
With all the double points Dym weeks I've decided to set my targets high!
    Aim is for 30k points.
    So I've played a lot of them, not very well. At around 9pm last night with games regged and in play, I was in for over £700 for the month. Clearly, I was just taking this in my stride ;

I then won a few dyms to ease things a bit. I also played the £22bh at 10.15. And won it :)
£515 from that was really nice. I'm struggling with mtts but anyone could have won with the way I ran.

So it's turned around a bit and is now a decent start to the month.

Up £279 and 2379 points in the bag.

If the bankroll can last the month and I get the 30k points then I should make around £1500 from rakeback and affiliate bonuses. So even a breakeven month would be OK although not what we're aiming for.

A day with the boy today and then we'll crack on again tonight.

A real topsy turvy week so far.

I gave myself a £1500 bankroll to start the year with. I'm now on £1625.82 and i've got £105.22 to come in rakeback and afilliate bonuses so far. Exactly 5k points now as well. I'm already going to have to quit with the 30k idea as Penny has been ill since Saturday and i just don't have the time. Do the important things first and then play as and when i can. Priority won't be a problem and so i'll just ensure i get that.

Dyms have gone pretty badly. Down just under £300 in them which is disappointing. Trying not to get disheartened with  that as apart from one night, i've played ok in them. Should really take some inspiration from Timmy as well. He went down a similar amount to me at first and has turned that around nicely.

I've stuck to my idea of playing mainly dyms with the odd mtt thrown.

Don't game select normally but the lobbies are very strong in the dyms tonight and so i'm going to concentrate on getting to below average at Fifa for an hour.

Ran amazingly v Orford in the cup competition so into the next round.

Derby have made two signings already. I don't know if Blackkman* will be the player who will take us up or be good enough in the Premier league if we do get there. Great record this season though. Anyone know anything much about him?

Had a day off today. Was going to take Harry to the Midland Railway at Butterley. They have Thomas trains there. He loves Thomas and loves choo choos in general. Weather was awful though and so we'll wait for another day.

    ......

    *filters sigh :)

Nick Blackmann is a very good signing, I had a bit of money on Reading for a top 6 finish so it was bad news for me. Averages more shots on target per game than any other player, which is pretty impressive considering he has played a lot of games on the wing and the fact he plays for Reading in general.

Good luck for the rest of the month.

He had a decent debut yesterday
Camara who is the signing from France impressed as well apparently. The concern was that he was all left foot. Nearly broke the bar with a shot from 20 yards with his right :)

Put a bit more work in over that last couple of days. It's gone well.
Dragged back the Dym losses to a slightly more respectable £133 down. Just played the roller sat for cash (I'm a bad person) and the bubble went on for ages. Button and sb were playing for the win and so it was tough. Scraped through in the end. Had some real run good early on which I should remember next time I get a Dym beat.

Looking to go pub tonight and I can just about afford it now.

    On track for month
    Started with £1500
Up to £1890 with £80 to come tomorrow plus another £50 from elsewhere.

    Hmmmm

Went to play table tennis tonight so that I wouldn't blow my earlier winnings. Got home and thought well seeing as it's double points it'll be silly not to play.

Decided on playing just a few. Last game I needed to win to be £7 up for short session. Lost it in an annoying way and so loaded up lots more tables to get my money back :). I can be smart like that from time to time.

I didn't get my money back.
A mixture of bad play, hopeless timing and I lost £58 for the session. Wp me :)

Made a tenner in rakeback though :)

Oh and I won at table tennis, so it's not all bad

Worrying times Dym wise. Not doing the drama queen stuff but for the first time i feel like i'm the spot in games.
    I haven't a clue where i am in hands.

Back in October when i was getting all exciteable it was ok really. I was playing reasonably enough but just not running very well. This is different. Making so many mistakes it's frightening.

Only lost £30 tonight after rakeback and so that is a bit of an escape.

Glad double points is over for a while. Time to regroup.

Still up over £400 for month , although rakeback and bonuses are playing a big part in that.

So it's not all bad. Just want to make priority now and have a few days off. Only another couple of thousand points to get so there's no rush. I've got some experience at dyms so i might just play a lot of smaller stake games to try and work out how to play again :)
    ...
    Won at table tennis :)
    ...
Man Utd at home should be fun
    ...
2 home games this week. Will be interesting to see if the new players feature.
    ...
Probs do deletes in morning when i read this back and see how whiny it is :)

Bet that's the first double D you've seen in decades.

Edit...in before you say you saw mine in Newcastle.

Another hero of mine has left us.
Alan Rickman was an instant favourite of mine as soon as I saw him in Die Hard. He was also terrific in Robin Hood. Along with Bill Nighy he even shone in the dreadful Love Actually.

I read earlier that he changed the way Hollywood portrayed villains after his roles as Hans Gruber and the Sheriff of Nottingham.

The humour and that incredible sneer were  just wonderful.

    A sad loss
