Just bust the main event in 12th I think? Again, so close yet so far!!!! Well at least Iv cashed in all 3 main events, without quite hitting that magic final table! - Yesss Im classing taking heads monday night as cashing! lol. Think my MEvent finishes were 106, 21, 11! ! If u'd offered me that sunday night, I wud have snapped ya hand off.
However, Going so deep twice, I think has made me suffer in other areas, Didnt get to play as much cash as I'd like, as was so focussed on the main event. Managed to get some in, but played alot tighter than usual.
Unlike most TP-ers, I aint a multi table wizz kid, but believe I can play 1 well
Anyway, my night, Must have played 20 HU sng's! - I love them!!!! Played the same guy 8 times, musta finished 5-3 to me, having been 4-1 up
Overall, ended up on the HU games.
Onto cash, won a few pennies, but must admit my focus was all on the main event. At the first break, was 2nd in chips, first hand after break, got JJ all in against my KK! - Was a huggggeeee pot t that stage of the tourny, 12k, n the flop was jack high. Do u guys ever just get THAT feeling???
So having bust the main event at 10-45 (gl BIGSHANN btw) I would have loved to play some more heads up. Wasnt time, only the 11pm BH left, which Im in atm.
Ive loved every minute of tonight, and the other 2 nights, apart from the period between 7pm and 7.05 pm on monday.....
The roll has finished at £767 - Could have been soooooo much better, but Ill take it.
Thanx for all the support on and off the tables (been on mini alot last 2 nights! - get me!!! even got a TP's lappy now! shame I have to give it bak tomorra! lol ) Means alot guys! Over to the TUCK! GL BOSS!

Got down to 8BB’s at 100/200, OTB with KTo, with 1 limper – easy shove, get nitrolled by limper with TT and no magical King.
In the £1k BH, got a stack early with a couple of big pots, but lost half of it against most aggro player on the table with QQ on an AA88 board, when he had AJ – was a bit annoyed with myself immediately, but he was super spewy throughout and I think now it wasn’t that bad a play. (Check called to let him bluff...).
Cash
Just very bad.
Lost 1 stack when I three barrelled a J9xx two club board with AcKc – oppo had QJ and made 2 pr on the end, otherwise I don’t think he is calling.
Had another hand when I have AQ and raise a limper, flop A52 (I think), turn A, I put him on AJ, AT, so we get some more in, river a T and he snap shoves his last 30 ish – I dwell fold and he shows AT.
Can’t defend some of my other play – really disappointed after I played very solid last night.
So that’s boot camp over.
Had a poor first hour on day 1, partly because I was a bit rusty on SNG’s, a good 2 days, then a bit of a mare most of day 3.
The decision is out of my hands – but if it was on my play today, I don’t go through. Hopefully I’ve shown enough on previous days.
Despite being a bit down right now (which at least shows that I care) it has been a very worthwhile 3 days. The other guys have all been supportive of each other, and David has given over some sound advice, as much as he has been able given the size of the team.
Well that is it just busted out of my last MTT with good old A10.
Tonight, played 2 tables of cash for an hour at the start, played really well and was up £48 on one table when I left it, I then was about to leave my other table with a good profit also, that is until I ran 88 into J10 I make a set and he makes a straight , bye bye profit but was only down £19.47 overall on that table.
Played a very solid game in the Double stack, built my stack up well but busted in 58th when I ran A8 into KK, very next hand in the £1000GTD im taken out also, was really gutted about those two because I fellt I played really well and then BOOM I try and steal the blinds stupidly really, I didn't need to do it and that was what frustrated me the most about it!!
In the 8.30pm BH I pushed all in with QQ, get called by 33 and BOOM 3 on the Flop!! I did play a couple of other MTT's but didnt do much because I can't remember them and don't want to leave this page now to see what they were.
My time with the gaffer was supposed to be spent during MTT time I hoped but unfortunatley, just as he pops up in MSN I busted in the DOuble stack and £1000GTD, therefore had to revert to cash, had no playable hands except for 1010, ran it into the might of 88 who had now got a set after the flop, lost a load of blinds and that was really it!!
Overall, I have really enjoyed the experience of TP and I have learned so much from the Tuckmeister, I have incoporated a lot of moves that he advised into my play and it has worked, I did finish off with a bankroll of £447.04, I am dissapointed with this but had the cards stood up when they were supposed to then I truly believe I would have made a huge profit!! I am happy with my play overall, few mistakes obviously but they were soon rectified by Mr Tuchman!! Having had such a bad day on Monday and last night when none of my hands stood up how can KK lose 3 times when I have them - and QQ lost me many a tournament, even though I was ahead each time, im rambling on about bad beats now - but I am proud to have carried on and knocked down every wall put in my way - each night I came off the tables depressed, not with my play but with the outcomes of these flips, I have never run so bad lol - how i managed to keep my BR i will never know - but I kept at it and battled through it all, when my fellow TP'ers were doing well and winning tournaments etc I was genuinly pleased for them because there were a lot of players out there who just wanted to knock out the guy with the star, and it is hard to play under those conditions at time but it is a great challenge. As for tonight for the first 3 hours I was really happy with my play, things were looking up, was playing well but unfortunatley the last hour was not so good but again we live and learn!!
I should really post this up tommorrow when everything will seem brighter but i've typed it up now so I aint gonna delete it now lol!!
Well what a rollercoaster!!! Started great tonight and thought I was gonna cruise up the money ladder........
I ended up playing solidly in cash, sngs and the 3 mtts. However, in the end I played with steady yet non spectacular results.
I lost a monster cash pot for £100 with a flush vs set when money went in (set then rivered fh) and my mtt journey ended really with QQ all in vs AJ (and the A flopping)
I cant complain about my results and David has made me really analyse a couple of areas of my game which could do with 'tweaking'. Congrats to all TP'ers this week and all from the previous weeks - until u play it, u really cant appreciate just how hard it is!!!!!!!
FINAL BANKROLL - £584.69
Steady, steady everyday I think with no massive peaks, yet no major troughs either! Fingers, toes and everything else now firmly crossed for Saturday!
Final night a mixed bag really. The last 3 days have actaully been mentally exhausting to tell you the truth but when your fighting your way through 18 of the best players to win a £20k tourney package i would do it every week without fail as i love the competition.
Tonights plan was the play less games but play higher and games i expect to beat normally and focus hard. I entered to tikay sleepstack and came 4th but was disapointed to not finish higher just didn't get cards in the right spots. The only other tourney worth mentioning was another one where i came 4th but bubbled it .
Cash wise i sat down for about an hour and was determined to win ! get money in on flop with a set vs overpair for him to turn a higher set....i left after that before i tilted. DYM again a good night and slightly better than the other two nights. Hu again slightly better - So heres the figures !
DYM - 6/8 whichcomes to +128for the night Hu - 4/5 won for+ 106.75 MTT - 1/6 for - 18.70again had a rough patch in the £11 buy-ins Cash -- 30again
Total for night+ 186.05
Final Bankroll -914.44
My final thoughts are that i have loved the competition so far and hopefully look forward to a couple more weeks yet ! I'm satisfied with how it went and perhaps could have hit the £1100-1300 range had a few more things swong my way.

Please be aware that Sharkscope stats EXCLUDE Cash Game play, & ONLY reflect Tournaments & SNG's.
Nice bankrolls from a few of you (wp Doh). Dylan I've been there myself matey, it's hard when you are desperate to make a profit in these three days but like me, things obviously didn't fall your way. I am sure David will see that and you still have a great chance, so don't get your head down mate - you did great not to lose much more.

Oh yes, absolutely. I was just making the point that many people misinterpret Sharkscope Stats, & if the player plays both Cash AND Tourneys/SNG's, then Sharkscope is extremely misleading.
A cash player might have very bad Sharkscope Stats, & a Tourney/SNG player might have very good stats, but neither of them accurately determine the players ability necessarily or accurately.
Mr Nutter is a great example of this - look at his current TP-Bankroll relative to his starting Bankroll. It's not + 37%!

Cheers Pryce mate Everything seems better the next day, I am actually pleased that I had only lost that much and had I not run 10 10 into 88 (another shortstack looking for a quick double up grrrr lol) then my BR would look healthier!!
I am actualy quite proud that I didn't bust, it was just frustrating at the time when nothing went my way - but I am very happy with my play overall and therefore have no complaints and I have learned a few new tricks from Mr Tuck - so beware lol!!
Havng a break from it tonight - just feel I need a break and when I get back I am going to suck out loads on people - it's karma, so beware I have warned you all now lol!!

as from what ive seen nutter only plays mainly sngs and mtts.
thats why his cash profit wont be as good as the rest.

Yes - that's the whole idea - the search is for a TOTAL PLAYER.
I need to choose my words carefully, because I must not favour, or be seen to favour, any player.
But Ben is a good example. He normally mainly plays SNG's - that's his main skillset. The other TP-ers ALL have their own speciality too - look at the list, it includes Cash specialists, MTT specialists, SNG specialists.
So Ben has excelled at SNG's - as expected. But if you look at his Bankroll now - you have to work this out for yourself - he appears to have demonstrated his skills at other formats too, because his overall ROI is MUCH higher than the 37% you noted.
Much the same remarks may well apply to ALL the TP-ers - that's the idea. To find the TOTAL PLAYER.
if he also did well in the cash he gets my vote for total player. saturdays show is going to be very interesting Posted by donkeyplop
Most of those who have got this far have done well "across the board". They report their results nightly, & at some stage they will all need to make the Sky Poker Community aware of what they did, & how, as part of the "beauty contest".

That's another positive, you learned some stuff along the way too. One thing that I failed to achieve from the process...
Just want to say how much i've liked this thread, reading all the TP's comments at the end of their sessions whether they had been up or down. It sounds like some of the badbeats you have all received could have tilted some players. Good luck to you all, it looks like another nail biting saturday night viewing! But as i don't like ice dancing/singing or whatever other simon cowell show, i will be watching the show again with interest. Cheers Dave.
