My plan was to move up to £3.30 when I had played 100 x £2.20 games because I have proven that through playing one type of game, I can eventually make a profit - or at least it looks that way at the moment. As I'm progressing right now, I could well hit £100 after 100 x £2.20 games :-)

Not the best day at the tables, I ran really badly. In all three tournaments I failed to cash in, I got my chips in ahead - but fell behind on the turn or river. Not complaining too much though, it happens!
I did make a mistake with my balance though! I keep forgetting to exclude money made on Sky Bet - my actual poker balance is £73.91. Will update the first post now.
I am coming towards the end of my DYM challenge, and the cashes column is not as high as I would like. However, I will still move up level when this is complete. I feel like a MUCH better DYM player now, and I feel like I can easily justify every decision I make - confidence is high :-)

And that's the end of my mini challenge! 57% cash rate, not as high as I expected - but my results towards the end were considerably better than my results at the start, I've definitely improved!! Now moving on up to the £3.30 level :-)

I've had better days! Twice I got my chips in while dominating the other player - and both times I lost the hand! It happens though, just a little annoying. Balance now £78.46.

Not making a habit of playing MTT's again and blowing my bankroll like last time. The rewards freeroll was free entry as I had gained a certain amount of points during the last 15 days or so, and the 6-Max Versus Speed was a new type of tournament I just wanted to try, was only £1.10 entry.

Didn't play Sunday due to work. Played one today and was out in the second hand. Called an all-in with KQ off. They had A6 off. Yep, dumb move by me! I am so tired and just thought "why not?" - bad play, I shouldn't play when tired. My activity will be quite low again for the next few days - work is hectic and I will often be starting at 3AM!

In Response to Re: Diary of a fledgling player: Thanks for the kind words! I'm still surprised anybody cares about my progress so I am very flattered! Where am I finding the DYM's? Sky Poker of course!!
Yeah, luck is a big factor in DYM's sometimes, more so at the lower levels where the rake is crippling. There is a big confidence aspect to it also. When you're having a period of bad luck, it puts you off playing. My advice is to set yourself a block of games to play like I did with my mini DYM challenge ... and then see where you stand after you have played all the games you set out to do :-)

Cars too quiet?
It would be nice if the engines were noisier, they don't take your breath away or shake your bones anymore. Although I am enjoying hearing other things such as tyres squealing under breaking! Having said that, I'm told that they sound very different in person - and I have yet to experience that.

Well - after I completed the hundred £3.30 DYM's, yes, I will move up to the £5.50 level - presuming I have the bankroll to do so. In terms of my bankroll, I am looking to get to £1000 and then withdraw £500 :-)
On my last update, my balance was £102.10 - however that has shot up to £127.10. This was not through playing though. I earned a nice £25 prize/bonus for completing a survey about Sky Vegas! The money has gone into my balance and is useable for poker and so it goes straight into my bankroll :-)
I'll probably come across your diary later on tonight - these are literally the first few posts I am making after my little break.

I will be playing today though, just as UKOPS begins!! Don't worry, I won't go crazy like I did in the past. I will be entering a maximum of one satellite per day, at a maximum price of £3. I have already entered the £4K UKOPS Direct for £2.40 at 1:20. If I lose then I will be back on the DYM's.

Didn't play yesterday (Saturday), but really had a lot of fun today! I said that I would not spend more than £3 per day on UKOPS. I decided to amalgamate the Saturday £3 (which I didn't spend) and today's £3 to enter the £6 buy-in £8K UKOPS Direct tournment. Result below:

Played 1 x £8K UKOPS B/H (result: out after just over one hour, no heads)
Delighted to have qualified for the BH, just wish I had taken one head - would have meant a profit. Was a bit of a crazy tournament for me actually, kept jumping quite dramatically between starting stack and nothing ... I was playing aggressively, but I did actually have decent cards behind me too, kept getting cruel flops though. The one that stands out in the memory is getting it in pre with the hand that always screws me (AK suited, OTB) and coming up against AQ unsuited. Flop comes AQx, big loss for me. That's poker sometimes though!
Not going to play UKOPS tomorrow, but I will hit the DYM's! Record is currently:
