Didn't play that much today, but had a very profitable evening! Decided to play the mini tonight - it's outside my bankroll but I'm playing very well at the moment so I decided to take a shot - turned out to be a good thing to do!
Played 1 x £2000 Mini B/H (result: 44th for £7.22, also got £6.24 in head prizes) Played 2 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 3rd, 3rd)
Those DYM results mean I am currently on a 9-game DYM win streak :-)
Exit hand from the Mini below, just got unlucky sadly!

Didn't play that much today, but still had a profitable day
Played 1 x £400 Bounty Hunter (result: 44th/376 - top 40 cashed annoyingly, but I did take £3.18 in head prizes) Played 1 x £3 Double Your Money (result: 2nd)
Also "officially" played in the Sky Bet Freeroll but wasn't at the computer at the time to actually play .. still managed to finish 284th out of 639 players!
Balance now £73.85 and my DYM win streak is now 10 games. Anyone know what the record is?
Hi Mate just checked scope and the best this year is 19 in row, you must be joint 20th with 10. But I remember it was a lot higher than that at the end of last year maybe in the 20s or 30s. Good luck Posted by stuarty117
Where do you see this information? I see the DYM leaderboard, but not wins in a row?
Once again, I didn't play too much, but still came out with a profit!
Played 3 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 4th, 6th, 1st) - sadly this means my win streak is over! Played 1 x Cash Giveaway (result: 250th for £5)
Then decided to take that free £5 and take a shot at a DYM:
Played 1 x £5 Double Your Money (result: 2nd) :-)
Balance at the end of the day was £79.45, will update the first post now. Not sure if I'm going to get to play much the next week or so, don't be alarmed if there are no updates
I haven't played since my last update, been very busy! Will probably be the same until Wednesday next week to be honest - might try fit in a few DYM's if I get the chance :-)
I did receive £14.53 in Sky Poker Rewards though! Will update the first post now :-)
Played 1 x £150 Bounty Hunter (result: 25th with top 11 paid, amazingly no heads either ..)* Played 1 x £5 Double Your Money (result: 4th) - taking a shot! Played 5 x £3 Double Your Money (result: 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 3rd, 5th)
Balance took a slight hit today, down to £82.18. I'm sure it's only going to be a few days until I hit three figures though - feeling good!
Will update the first page now :-)
* Got it in with KK pre (had a dwindling stack). Came up against QQ and 88 - sadly the QQ made trips.
Hmmm, for some reason my poker points of dropped by 1000, not really sure why - but I don't use them anyway so not too fussed!
Played 1 x £10K BH Direct (result: 2nd -> qualified!) Played 2 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 4th, 1st) Played 1 x £10,000 B/Hunter (result: knocked out after 30 minutes ..) Played 1 x £250 Bounty Hunter (result: knocked out after 5 minutes ..)
A really frustrating day, seem to be doing poorly in MTT's of late. It's not even that I'm running badly or getting out-drawn. However when I have a good hand, everyone folds, and when I try bluff, I run into something good .. how annoying! Perhaps I should take a break from MTT's tomorrow and focus on STT's to build the balance back up.
Played 6 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 4th, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 5th, 2nd) Played 1 x £3 Sky Head Hunter (result: 1st with £16.20 in head prizes .. knocked out 4/5 opponents!)
Balance now £95.85, gonna hit three figures tomorrow hopefully! Will update the first post now :-)
Made one attempt to qualify for the main event yesterday and didn't manage it. That ultimately meant I ended the day on a small loss.
Played 1 x £20K Early Sat (result: didn't qualify, out-drawn) Played 1 x Speed B/Hunter (result: 12th, didn't cash but took three heads for £2.82)* Played 1 x £3 Double Your Money (result: 3rd)
Balance now £93.77, will update the first post now.
* I was running really well in this tournament until a pot where I lost a lot of chips .. looking for feedback on the hand so check out my thread in the poker clinic here if you get time :-)
Was running terribly the early part of yesterday, worse than I ever have before! The first two DYM's I played of the day were running side by side .. I made straights in both on my first and second hands of the tournament respectively. However they were beaten by Quads on one table and a Full house on the other, big sigh!
Nevertheless, I managed to turn it round towards the end of the day! Still ended the day with a small loss though.
Played 9 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 6th, 6th, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 1st) Played 1 x £5K BH Micro Sat (result: 4th, needed top 2!) Played 1 x £100 Freezeout (result: 40th - got it in pre with KK, beat by a raggy ace that hit).
Balance is now £90.37, will update the first post now.
ARGH variance!! The funny thing is that I'm running really well in terms of my hole cards but I keep getting out flop, turn and rivered!! I figure posting here about it is better than tilting on the tables ..
Peter, it happens:P Once the bankroll gets to £200 what games are you going to play then? And what is the target in relation to your bankroll? Posted by LARSON7
The bankroll is currently closer to £50
The plan is to start playing the £5 level at £125 then I would probably move up to the £10 level at £250.
I don't really have a target as such, but if I ever reach £1000 then I would withdraw £500 and then my next withdrawal would come at a large sum (maybe £2500 or £5000) - this will take a LONG time though haha
Balance has taken a considerable hit since my last update .. Day 86 (Tuesday)
Played 5 x £5K Turbo Direct (results: 8th, 13th, 4th - qualified, 18th, 15th) Played 1 x £5K Open All-In (result: didn't qualify) Played 1 x £5 Turbo Open (result: out after 45 minutes) Played 1 x £750 BH Direct (result: 11th)
Day 87 (Yesterday)
Played 1 x £3 Sky Head Hunter (result: 2nd with 0 heads - kind of annoying) Played 15 x £3 Double Your Money with the following results:
1st x 2 2nd x 1 3rd x 3 4th x 3 5th x 3 6th x 3
Balance now £55.47, will update the first post now.
Apart from an unusual losing day on the DYM's yesterday, the thing that seems to be hampering my balance most is the satellites. So I have decided that I will now only play a maximum of two satellites on both Tuesday & Thursday for the main events (my favourite ones of the week). However, if I do qualify for an event, I will go up to a maximum of three satellites as it's a good way to earn some extra cash!
Make a decision on whether it is worth playing them based on hard facts (+EV or -EV) not your feeling about them which will be coloured by the emotion of recent results.
Big post here as I've been pretty busy the last few days!
Day 88 (Thursday)
Played 3 x £3 Double Your Money (results: 6th, 2nd, 3rd)
Day 89 (Friday)
My friend was round my house so we played some random games together:
Played 1 x 50p Six-Max (Speed) (result: 1st) Played 1 x £1 Six-Max (Speed) (result: 5th) Played 1 x 30p Double Your Money (result: 3rd) Played 1 x 60p Turbo DYM (result: 4th) Played 1 x £3 Double Your Money (result: 6th)
Day 90 (Yesterday)
Balance was dwindling so decided to focus mainly on six-max events, because that's what got my balance up in the first place.
Played 5 x £2 Six-Max (Speed) (results: 3rd, 1st, 5th, 2nd, 4th) Played 1 x £3 Double Your Money (result: 6th)
Balance currently £45.82, will update the first post now! Balance does seem to be drastically dropping, but I'm fairly confident that I am playing well, just keep getting out-drawn really
Have you got any stats on your sat record? Make a decision on whether it is worth playing them based on hard facts (+EV or -EV) not your feeling about them which will be coloured by the emotion of recent results. Posted by Phantom66
No stats as such, however I am about 95% certain they are my biggest form of profit in poker :-)
Not much to say really, as I played in yesterday was the PS4 freeroll. Finished in 276th and obviously didn't cash. I shoved 77 pre-flop against a bigstack bully who was consistently 3xing pre-flop. I figured he was playing very loose and the chances are that he didn't have anything. Unfortunately for me, he had a raggy ace - and hit the ace.
Balance remains the same!
I'm not entirely sure how much I can play today as I start a new job! I begin work at the very precise time of 12:08 .. (seriously!). Maybe I will play some games this evening if I get time though :-)
... and I'm not dead, I just haven't been able to play much due to my work schedule being quite hectic.
Did get some time to play today however:
Played 1 x £12K Sky BH Early Sat (result: 2nd, qualified!)
Customer care then moved me into the 6PM semi by request (rather than the 3PM semi that I qualified for)
Played 1 x £12K Sky BH Semi (result: 106th) .. Played 5 x £2 Six-Max (Speed) (results: 5th, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 4th)
Not the greatest record, but I do feel like I am playing well, just need to grow my balance a little. It now stands at £45.22. Hard to believe I was at £200 at one point ..

For those who don't know, I'm busy for the next week or so, but will be back regularly on Wednesday.
BIG NEWS: I CAN now see page 13 of my diary again
Managed to play a little yesterday!
Played 4 x £3 DYM's (results: 5th, 3rd, 3rd, 4th)
