Oh yea and also the freeroll on a wednesday night (£250 prizepool) used to be 4 times greater (£1000) why has this changed and should they change it back?

I think there are only 4 regular freerolls (£20 prizepool) throughout the day and the weekly £250 prizepool on a wednesday, shoulnt there be alot more freerolls for us loyal skypoker users? What does everybody think?...

I think if you take a look at the major poker rooms (eg PokerStars and Full Tilt) you'll rarely see a freeroll where the prize pool is over $1k, so I'd find it highly unlikely that they'll provide bigger pools.

As for the quantity though, when I started playing I was wishing them to run more than just the 4 a day, so that's definitely something that can be provided. However I'd suggest that they wouldn't want to run more freerolls untill there are many more regular players on the site to make it worthwhile for them (the more players that are giving the site money via the rake and registration fee's, the more points they can give away and therefore the more freerolls they can run.)

This is similar to something I wrote in my thread about improvements to the site.

In general I think the overall "player rewards" package could be a lot better. Personally I can't be bothered about the smaller freerolls but I used to like the bigger one on a Wednesday night & even when it was a £500 pool it was quite good.

I think it's fair to say that Sky Poker do try very hard to look after their loyal players.

News in today is that from June 1st, they have doubled some of the Cash for Points incentives.

No idea Jimmy, the Suits will have to answer that., But there is a different Promotion every month, & most months it's better than the previous month.

Again, one for the Suits to answer Jimmy. But in general terms, they set aside a specific amount each month - which is rising steadily - & and they try & mix it uip, doing different things each monrth, to try to suit all tastes.

Me, I want a free ticket for a train journey, but Sky Poker blanked me when I asked.

Tony...ive got something that you could mention to the guys in the suits, just a way that they could greatly improve skypoker is if they would allow players more time to make a decision when it is there turn to act. What do you think?

Hi Jimmy.  The added time question was under discussion in another thread and it's largely the fact that we look to get the Open finished within the 3 hour TV schedule that determines the amount of time given to players.  Good decison, bad decision, what do you think?

Not sure if there should be more Freerolls a day but think the four there are a day should be re-schuled to suit those who have to work regular hours have at least 3 of them out of the 9-6 (allowing time to get back from home after work) slot as its difficult to play the 10am and 2pm ones while at work. Also think the midnight one should be brought forward to 10.30 or 11.00pm.

Also think that one should a higher value £250 or higher freeroll a day at 7.30pm not just once a week.

The other free rolls should also be of a higher value say £50 with winner getting at least £10 after all you could be playing a freeroll for up to 2 hours and end up with a fiver or less (that's less than minimum wage) how am I going to start my professional poker career on less than a fiver an hour?

Possibly a freeroll end of week tournament with higher value that you qualify for buy being in top twenty or so of any of the other free rolls?

I agree with most of the previous comments, but being a shift worker, how about the freerolls being more evenly spaced over 24 hours ?


When I get in from work at 2 in the morning, a small freeroll would be a great wind-down

I'm not sure that they would go with every couple of hours Jimmy, and I'm sure they're carefully placed to cater for when the majority of players are online - but there should be something in the wee small hours to cater for shift workers (or indeed insomniacs)
