Payouts Won't bother you with the small stuff, but broadly, 65 get paid, the minimum cash is £450, up to £900 for 10th to 12th. The Top 9 then get from £1,125 up to a round £20,000 for the winner. The Top 50 all get a £1,000 Sky Poker 6-Max UKPC Main Event seat. Winner also gets a lovely Bracelet. The Top 6 will all be in the running to win a £20,000 Mini, too. Posted by Tikay10
In Response to Re: The Sky Poker UKPC Six Max Mini starts today... : Are the FTs not 7-handed? Posted by bbMike
Yes, but the "official" Final table is 6 handed. For the Mini, ONLY the 6 handed Final counts.
For those unaware, in "Live" 6-Max play, they form an unofficial 7 handed Final Table, as otherwise the 3 handed semi-final table would be at a huge disadvantage.
Hi Tikay, appreciate the updates. Question for you. If A sells 50% of his action in the mini and then wins a seat into the main worth £1000, does he owe a) 50% of his mini cash b) 50% of his mini cash plus £500 c) 50% of his mini and main cashes Just hypothetical but wondered what the 'correct' answer is, if nothing specific was said beforehand. Keep up the good work. Posted by dragon1964
It would be 50% of both mini and main unless they both agree for the player to pay £500 on top of the mini cash.
Ul Jac but vwp on cashing, paid for the weekend and you get a UKPC flag
RE: selling action, it's been advertised from day 1 that the top 50 in the mini would get a main event seat so it should deffo have been discussed before selling the action imo. If it hasn't been discussed then there really is no obligation to any of the above options imo, and it just comes down to how nice/generous the horse wants to be but I don't think he HAS to give anything.

What a great question.
The key part is.....
".....wondered what the 'correct' answer is, if nothing specific was said...."
A two parter really.
There are more fallouts & arguments over this sort of thing than enough. It's just common sense to AGREE IN ADVANCE.
If no pre-agreement is made, well in truth, the seller can do anything he wants, it is entirely up to him, & if he decides to keep the lot, there is not a darn thing you can do about it. Good luck trying to argue with that in a Court of Law.....
However....
"....wondered what the 'correct' answer is, if nothing specific was said....."
In THIS case (the Sky Poker UKPC 6 Max Mini) the CORRECT thing is that all subsequent action "follows through", the buyer gets 50% of EVERYTHING.
Why?
Because those Main Event Seats are PART OF THE PRIZE POOL. They are not "added" seats, or a bonus, they are part of the prize pool.
There was a really good debate of the subject, & examination of all sides of the matter recently. Just google "Bonuses" from Live Events, & Stakers entitlements" for an excellent review of the subject.
But its all about agreeing it in advance. It's amazing how many don't, & then it kicks off, & friendships can get destroyed.

Never seen such scenes, or so much hilarity on the Bubble, everyone is smiling & laughing.
Why?
An "Absent" player who never returned has 2,000 chips - that is TWO Antes.
It gets better.
On the SAME TABLE as 2 Antes man, two players get it all-in!
The shortie survives though, so the bubble continues.
And just as that very moment, guess what then happened?
...and at that very moment, 2 Ante Man strolls in, assuming, I think, it was a 2pm start!
His name is Terence Mitford, & he had 156,000 overnight.
Oucho.
Mind you, he is still in.....
2 Antes man QUADRUPLES up to 8,000, so he then had 80% of a big Blind.
Meanwhile, 2 players get it all-in, with flopped straight & flush redraw, v top set, but the shortie wins it.
Our man then shoves blind UTG with K-9 of spades.
He tures 4 to the flush & a gutshot straight draw, but misses, beaten by a guy with a smaller flush draw who hit his kicker.
OK, 65 left.
61st to 65th all get £450.
The next ladder is at 60th, where it goes to £500, so not a lot of difference really, & carnage shall shortly ensue.
For those unaware, in "Live" 6-Max play, they form an unofficial 7 handed Final Table, as otherwise the 3 handed semi-final table would be at a huge disadvantage.
As luck would have it, I just bumped imto him during the break, & he doubled up just before that, he now has 390,000, which is about 33 Bigs.
Play resumes, Blinds are 6,000-12,000/2,000.
60 players remain, & it'll be a bit cagey until we get to ther "Main Event Seat" bubble, which is 50th.
After that, it'll be crash & burn stuff due to the flat payout structure.
Bad news - Jac35 is outo.
Boo!

Save the run-good for the Main, see you Thursday.
Our Chip Leader is probably Stuart Fox.
I might just be Chairman of the Stu Fox Fan Club, I love the guy.
He "broke through" in 2004 or 5, & was playing "new poker" long before anyone else. Nearly binked a WSOP Bracelet, too.
Sort of left poker, got himself a lovely lady, had a kid, went travelling, then returned to Poker, & now he's better than ever.
Top bloke.
Interesting convo just went off with a complete stranger.....
You are the bloke who is always on that Sky Poker TV show, right?
Well sometimes, yes
I never watch it.
Oh really?
I don't watch it, it's all internet poker 'innit?
Well yes, that's sort of the idea.....
I'd watch it if it were Pokerstars.
I'll have a word
Meanwhile, the tourney is kicking on apace.
Average stack is now 800,000, with Blinds just gone 10,000-20,000/300, so thats 32,000 per orbit.
39 left.
Tennis Bloke Ivanovic has just doubled to 700,000 (Aces), Ryan has about 800,000, but Dan Brown has just busted.
Great tourney, lovely atmo.

God bless you Tighty, I'm no good at this Updating lark any more.
Readers will be delighted to know that Tighty wil be doing the Main Event Update here from Tuesday onwards.
I'll be busy - very busy - with Front of House, obv.
29 left, down to 5 tables now.
Average stack is now just over a milly, & blinds are 12k/24k/3k, so about 40 Bigs. Plenty of play, really.
I thought this might finish quite early. I think I thought wrong.
