UTG opens, SB calls and I call from the BB with Q8cc.
Flop is As 7c 5c.
SB checks, I check and UTG bets 450k into 700k. SB calls. I have 2.3m total/1.9m more. Blinds are 50/100 but quickly going upto 60/120/20k. Felt there was so much dead money in the middle, plus I get a lot of weak Ax hands to fold that it was a decent spot to try and take the aggro line. Also the money jumps weren't really that much so wanted to take a stack into the final to try and get something going!
UTG tank folded AT. SB quickly called with 55. No club for me!
Felt gutting not just cos of busting but also it being the UKPC, the extra value, the bracelet etc. But plenty of events this week so hopefully not my last shot!
Hope to see as many of you as possible at DTD this week
We're all still reading the updates Tikay. Can't go and knock off early now. See it through! Been a great read. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Posted by Donttelmum
Ha!
Sorry DTM, if I had realised there were still folks reading the thread, I would deffo have continued, but there were barely any replies the last hour or so, & I assumed everyone had fallen asleep. After all, some of my stuff is really "interesting".....
"Live Updates" only work if there is interaction really. I used to Update elswewhere, & got non-stop questions, comments & replies, but it does not seem to work very well here for some reason.
Anyway, you'll have Tighty all week starting tomorrow, nobody does it better, so lets hope the thread gts a bit of bounce, oomph & life.
1 Mike Cummings £20,000.00 2 Stephen Powell £13,000.00 3 Simonas Baltrusaitis £7,750.00 4 Mazalahedwa Bako £5,450.00 5 Waheed Ashraf £3,750.00 6 Sean Randall £2,500.00 Posted by SPT
Thanks for posting that Rich.
I ovelaid again this morning, no idea why. I get up every morning @ 5am & am in the office by 6am, & yet I've been up here 4 days, not done a thing all day, & yet I'm dog tired. Must be all that Front of House work......
Scotty77. He's short. Like, really short. Matt Bates short.
Russia. This is the lucky tfcjdmdthrdmhdxtmr who won the UKPC Omaha. Sigh.
Wadey. He gave a masterclass last night in the 6 Max Mini, but came up just short. GOOD player.
Err, Mad Norweigan. This bloke is different gravy. Been here a week. Proper gambler him, epic scenes of spin ups, spin downs, & spin-back-ups. Unbelievable guy, & a proper character.
Arbboy. So-called either because he is a pro punter specialising in arbing, or because he argues a lot. Both are true. Bright bloke though, very bright. Stoke City Supporter, as he used to work for a little Bookmaker in Stoke. They own Stoke City FC actually, & he is a Stoke City supporter. No accounting for taste, eh?
Sky poker regular "lolurface" is playing it, (NOT to be confused with "lolufold") but I don't want to link his real name & his screen-name, seems a bit off.
Not sure if either of you would know but what is the position on playing the Main Satty tonight for use as a later day sscond bullet when the player already has a seat through SkyPoker specifically. Obviously the Sky Seat can not be traded for cash or credit and they told me yesterday that the live sat seat had to be used for the UKPC Main only but I understand that this changed for the HR sat.
If the answer is 'easier if you don't bother Tommy' that's completely fine, gonna pop down later probably to play some cash, just wondering if I should get there earlier.

Yo Tommy.
If you win a seat in tonight's Main Event Mega Sat, & you already have a seat (no matter where you won it), it counts as a DTD "Token" to the value of £1,000, & you can use it for ANY Event @ DTD, be it the UKPC Main, or anything else. You can break it into smaller increments, too. Effectively, you'd have £1,000 of tourney credits @ DTD.
On another subject i came across The Falkirk Wheel watching some randon TV program today. How awesome is that !!! Who said British Engineering was a thing of the past?

Anyway, moving on.....
The High Roller is due to start shortly.
It has been delayed slightly, as the Satellite started late, so will now start at around 5.30pm.
Concrete effort sir, know it will be off to a flyer when the high roller updates start...
Quick High Roller Satellite tale.....
It had 5 seats Guaranteed, worth £15,000. Entry was £150 think, plus rebuys & add-ons.
It was scheduled to start at Noon.
There was exactly ONE Entry @ Noon......oops.
Rob debated as to whether to cancel it, but by then 5 or 6 players were mingling around.
Under his T & C's, he had the right to cancel it, but if he did, he would upset the 5 or 6 who had turned up.
Anyway, he decided to delay it an hour, & a bunch of us went on a PR initiative, on Forums & Twitter etc.
Bla bla bla, it ended up with 35 Entries & 63 Rebuys/Add-ons, so only missed the Guarantee by £300.
BOOM!
There are 11 left in the HR satellite.
These include....
Scotty77. He's short. Like, really short. Matt Bates short.
Russia. This is the lucky tfcjdmdthrdmhdxtmr who won the UKPC Omaha. Sigh.
Wadey. He gave a masterclass last night in the 6 Max Mini, but came up just short. GOOD player.

The High Roller has started.
Needs 50 @ £3,000 to meet the Guarantee, has 33 already, so with an optional re-entry, am quite confident it will meet the Guarantee.
Late Reg is until 9.40 in case you fancied playing.....
A few of the High Roller entries......
David "Dubai" Shallow
Rick Trigg
Matt Perrins
Toby Lewis
Wadey
Mickey Petersen
Big Mitch Johnson

Sky poker regular "lolurface" is playing it, (NOT to be confused with "lolufold") but I don't want to link his real name & his screen-name, seems a bit off.
Seems a lovely lad.

how many WSOP bracelets, EPTs and WPTs can you count in that lot?
go on, guess.....
Andrew Hills makes it 725 on the button @ 150-300/25. (Starting stack is 50,000).
Wadey flats in the SB.
Craig McCorkell, in the BB, makes it 2,600.
Andrew now makes it 6,700.
Wadey calls.
Craig calls.
Ooh-er.
Flop......
A-A-6.
Much theatrical dwelling, but all 3 check. Which one - or two - has the Ace?
Turn is Jack of spades, bringing 2 spades now.
A-A-J-6
More theatricals. We are 5 minutes into the hand now.
Wadey checks.
Craig checks.
Andrew, on the button, makes it 7,600.
More dwelling.........
Wadey makes it 17,000!
Craig folds.
Andrew folds.
Wadey shows.......
Luke Schwartz in the house......
In that big hand, I think Andrew Hills maybe had Q-Q or K-K.
When Wadey showed the 9-9, Andrew looked skywards & gave a big sigh.
No idea what Craig had.
Chris Brammer in the house.

Don't be late, then.
First player over 100,000 seems to be Dave Shallow, who has his game head on today.
