It was quite a sweat too. The first part of the bet came in after about 6 mins whereas the 2nd was in the 94th.
My son told about this bet a while back. I told him he was a mug punter for doing it, something he lost little time reminding me of when I told him I had won on it.
The bet was both teams to hit the woodwork @9-1. The match west ham v man city. Any thoughts on whether this is good bet in the long run?
Lost 10.50 in the no lose weekend. Will get a tenner back tomorrow. There will be a x1 play restriction. First time out of 4 I have participated in a no lose promotion and not booked a win.
Poker roll doing ok due to cash. Trying to get 100pts but that will depend on having time to hit another 22 pts tonight.
Yeah I thought that at first but it went into withdrawable funds on my account. If you want a free poker token check out sky casino promo, ends at midnight and won't cost you a penny Posted by Snuffer
Cheers. I like those kind of promos - type 6 characters - simples.
The Sky Vegas "No Lose" refund came through. It shows up on the normal account so can be used anywhere on the site, You do have to wager it before withrawing it. I'll keep kidding myself that if I play poker with it it's more EV than sky vegas.
Had £4.80 worth of tokens thanks to the code and 100+ points - bricked them in a plo8 £5.50 dym.
Bricked all 3 Freerolls tonight but can't complain about the value on offer in them.

Felt sorry for Tikay - Did a Macacgirl style spite repot from the BB after Tikays pot on the bubble which gave the short stack a free pass. So I suppose I am not too sorry about that really. However it was poor play from me really I had a strong but not top of the range hand and so should have folded even with AA56 with 3 spades, expecting Tikays range to be what it was an A with balanced hi and lo options.
Genuinely sorry for sidetracking him in chat though- He gets plenty of genuine grief for non-genuine reasons on the forum all day. My intention, both in my other forum post and in the chatbox was to help the tech team track what causes hand glitches.
My hate affair with KK continues. x3 raise utg 4 handed. SB calls.
T high rainbow raggy flop.
SB checks I0, I c-bet, SB shoves, I call.
SB shows 52 and hits a gutshot. I say nothing - the way I feel about KK at the moment I had a jimmi riddle style premonition that a 3 was on its way.
Bit later on we are all-in pre. I have AQ they have KQ. They turn a straight, I river the higher straight. They get a bit ansy in the chatbox.
I still say nothing. I want to educate this player to the joys of variance, that calling oop with 52 is probably not a good idea especially in a short stack game and neither is shoving on someone who has shown strength and is pot committed with a gutshot draw. I want to say forget the river, what odds do you think you had when we were both all-in preflop when you had KQ?
A bit later SB gets chuntery v BB when his AK loses to QT. You were only 60/40 mate get over it I want to say, but I keep quiet.
Anyway that was another profitable spinup session.
After the last time I went on a heater to tip £200 on this thread only to lose it all again, I shall not be getting carried away.
It is a little frustrating that the SNGs are not going great at the moment.
I am actually down £8.60 on those and this is supposed to be, since the one penny balance, an epic battle of nitty brm and discipline. Yet the roll rise has largely been fuelled by spin up cash.
The £8.60 is slightly skewed due to losses coming from entries paid for by tokens but even so, that is my record regardless of whether funded by cash or tokens.
I have tweaked my spinup game plan a little - but I know only too well how variance reliant they are. The real test will be to not tilt and spew when the down turn happens.
Won £20 in the milly hand FR, lost a big pot not long before the cash bubble so happy to cling on and ladder.
Won a bit more at cash.
Gave last weeks winnings plus a pound back to skybet.
Lost my last 5 PLO8 dyms, I made a couple of bad plays earlier in the day (lost one got away with one) risking too many chips too early, but the last 5 I don't think I did much wrong. Just one of those sessions where the run was bad when the blinds got high.
Ended up on £80.50 pretty much where I started the day. Points earned don't mean much as I am in that no-mans land between 230 and 500 points. I doubt if I will be around when the 998 milly hand drops today, so I will be hard pushed to make the 129 points to reach 500 and from past experience I wont make extra efforts to do that as it is likely to lose me value overall.
I read this blog every day and have been remiss in not posting before. I commend you on your discipline and humour. I wish you all the very best in your quest to make a bob or two in this great game which can be not frustrating at times.
The heads up comp you organised is blinding, it is great to see folk like you trying to help the site and hope you get a reward,I'm sure you are not doing it for any such thing but it's just nice to see ordinary folk helping.
Best wishes and good luck on the felt,I may even join you on the pl08 tables sometime.
Not sure about my "discipline" as indiscipline has cost me plenty but definitely appreciate the effort to pop by and say hi and that you enjoy the read.
I follow your diary avidly on the rail and must say my humble little efforts pale into insignificance compared to your story.
GL for 2016 and best wishes to you and yours. Interesting times with the return of a lost fledgling to the family abode. Our two sons are away, possibly temporarily and we miss them dreadfully - yet also enjoy our new found independence.
Decided to take a mini break from the PLO8 dyms yesterday.
Always best I find to wait until you are itching to play and not just play because it's there, or there are points to be gained etc. Certainly at my levels anyway, no sense it making it a "grind" when it is supposed to be entertainment with a hope but not expectation of financial returns.
Started the day with my worst spinup attempt since the penny challenge started, but got out just under 4BIs down.
As suspected I was not able to play on my laptop when the milly hand hit yesterday afternoon so I played a little 4nl cash on the phone. Single tabling and being clueless to hand id is a bit of a disadvantage to say the least, but at least I was in it with a chance of winning it. Didn't of course, did panic as just before the regs started to leave the table indicating the hand had dropped one player had shipped 100bbs from UTG and I had mucked my trash.
In the evening for a change I tried my luck at HU SNGs, up a little but a very small sample, funny how rematches are hard to come by when you win a game. Later on took a punt at the dym spinup challenge and completed levels 1-4.
That left me with a B/R of £86.78 which is a nice climb up from 1p in three weeks.
I have a £2.30 token to come as I didn't chase the 500 points, only 60 odd off the pace as well but chasing 500 would have been very high risk as it would probably have meant a bunch of £5 turbo dyms.
This morning completed Level 5 of the dym challenge so I will be looking to take a shot at the £10 game sometime soon.
5 a day looks an interesting prospect so I had better earn my 5 cash points before I forget.
Well I'll be getting my daily 5 a day with a quick burst of 20nl spinups this week.
I did try some 20nl PLO yesterday but that didnt end well, had a great draw overcards and 1000 extensions to a str8 but bottled it and folded as was playing beyond my B/R.
A small spinup win offset that a little and so only down about £6.
Broke my losing streak at PLO8 but still only won 1/3.
This mornings spinup 5 point grab went well. Finished about £13 up.
It is the big match tonight Derby v PNE
They did us at our place but we have had some strong away performances and they are on a bit of downswing, hopefully chasing Man utd around for 90 mins will have taken a bit out of their legs too.
Middlesborough seem to be buying the league. Good business for Blackburn? Made £9m but if they go down wont seem very good at the end of the season.
Nice to see Pep taking on a project for once in Man City instead of a European super team.
PS I really like the sound of Charlton's loan signing yesterday from Al-Arabi SC. I wont spoil it look it up for yourself ;-)

We need the win.
City project
I hear Charlton have been sniffing around for a while. Fans will be licking their lips in anticipation.

Definitely a good bit of business for us. He's been great for us, but you can't blame him for wanting to move on & the money will help us bring in some desperately needed new faces.

I imagine Blackburn won't even profit from that, given they paid £8m and may well have to give some level of sell-on fee to Hudds?
Genuinely can't fathom the level of funds being thrown around at the top end of the Championship this season, I assume it is all a calculated gamble to be at the table for the first season of the even-more-mega-bucks Premier League season, but fear that those that many of those that miss out may be facing some different challenges next season...
lol @ the rest of the footy update
Good work on the spins... can't believe you'd bottle such an easy gamble at PLO20 yet have the heart of a true degenerate when it comes to the spin-up games. We need to get Mrs Duck to stop by and give you some bankroll management tips!

I resent the fact I gave your sponsors £10 of my hard earned cash on Saturday night.
"Simon Grayson saluted a solid performance from his Preston North End side in holding an expensively-assembled Derby side to a goalless draw last night"
If it's good enough for larry it's good enough for me. I think I know someone who may be a little grumpier about only getting a point though.
Derby shots on target count was exactly zero.
@goldenballz - £9m in the bank but the transfer window has closed. After you beat us the fans were singing we are going up. Recent results have been poor and you have just sold your guaranteed source of goals. Is a 5 point gap safe enough to make that gamble? Maybe the finances are so bad you just had to take the money and that chance?
@shaki - certainly don't think I have cracked spinups, but for double points promos and a quick 5 points I'll take a punt now and again. If my "adjustments" work with some longer term positive results I'll post them. I should not have bought into 20nl PLO game at all.
^^^ Absolutely they don't - there was some confusion around the wording describing how the mobile points work - which Tikay clarified in a thread about 5 s day.
Week 1 is CASH POINTS ONLY.
That's at least one player who will have a shorter stack than me then?
I dont play cash so what the hell is sky doing. For me to earn 5 points at cash i would probably lose 50 quid. I cant be bothered anymore i am on a mini downswing at the minute and a man of my calibre should be winning everytime i log on. Just seen you can play snakes and ladders on line for cash so bye sky i am off. Posted by stuarty117
Didn't get around to the weekly roll update on Monday as I was busy with HUFA prep. Glad it went well.
I started this week on £109 with a £2.30 token due and took a quick dip below £100 starting with a car crash spinup session to get the 5 a day mobile.
Recovered and sitting above that now albeit largely though down to some good fortune on a promo on another part of the site.
I made some tweaks to my PLO8 game, which initially made results worse, couple of times I played against my planned adjustments and lost big pots which was a bit annoying. Results settling down. Although I am not doing great in my 1000 challenge, I have at least turned a profit at the 3.30 level since this penny challenge started.
I still haven't had the bottle to go for a £16.50 dym as part of the spinup challenge. Everytime I look in the lobby there just seems to 1 of the very top players regged, or when I do see names I don't recognise by the time I have checked some stats the table has filled.
Not played so much this week. Haven't even got my 5 a day in every day, should make 5 if I play tomorrow and with rewards accelerators on tomorrow evening the incentive is there to play some cash and get up to 100 points for the week.
Will try and play the £5k tonight although I may end up as one of those away scroungers.
Thursday we had a "date day" rare day off for both Mrs P and I. Took a drive over to Yorkshire, Ilkely in fact, I even went on the moor without a hat up by the cow and calf (not sam and her daughter, the rocks).
Lovely spot of lunch at Betty's tearoom - Eggs Benedict followed by a mocha torte. Sin confession there as I had forgotten I was supposed to be giving up chocolate for lent, perhaps I can negotiate down to just chocolate bars? Or just self-flagulate?
Had to do some shopping but the at least Mrs P liked that, rest of the day including a walk by the river was spot on.
