Its tough trying to make a living at this game playing mainly tournys and STT. Last night was fairly typical for me. Played in £22 deepie, gotta support it coz its in danger! Only 10 runners but plodded away for a couple of hours to arrive at FT with about my starting stack. Realising I had to win it to make any worthwhile profit made a speculative (no stupid!) move and crashed...5th place is my money back. Only good news was I got through a £50 DYM comfortably while it was going on so I was in front. Played in open, but every time I built a decent stack I had a setback.Got to about 100 left towards bottom of field but with a workable stack. Time for gear change ! Two good hands and I will be up there! Unfortunately it was one bad hand and out.
Managed to take down a £30 DYM while it was going though, so still heading in right direction.
Dont like BHs much but went in £850 and ran well taking a few heads including a double of shorties with 9s.
Arrived at final table short but fighting and laddered up to 4th, then my QQ shove was called and beat by AQ.
So ended day £140 up. Not bad but not good enough if Im not working. If I could do it every night it would be okay but its not as easy as it used to be.
Went to bed thinking should I buy some decent kit to seriously multitable, sharpen up my cash game and join the grinders !
Logged on this afternoon to read some forum comments, and spotted what looked a soft £30 DYM.Played tight as usual but when down to 4 players, button shoved with AK and found JJ. I hate starting any day with a loss ! !
No decent daytime tournys so thought I would have a look at cash tables. No easy 50nl about, some good names like Sam and Boonicon on every table with decent stacks. Played two tables for about half an hour and managed to isolate a couple of less known shortstacks to get my £30 back while avoiding the big boys.
So its Primo for me tonight,gl guys. Just had phone call offering a few days work in Germany next Wednesday, think a break from the game will do me good.

i had an ok night i played in the £7 qualifyer into the primo and came 5th to win my seat and then managed to finish in 52nd to win around £70 a bit gutting as i should of gone deeper but i got to around 10 bb and was me and wot i thought was a tight player left so i shoved wiv a6 which is not something id norm do but that was the best id seen in awhile anyway he called with 67 and ill let u guess wot came on the turn but heyho thats poker

Had a wonderful day at DTD. Slept for the first 8 Levels, then mangled a move as bad as it was possible to mangle it. Why did I give him a free card? I'd re-raised him Pre with K-4, but he was never passing his Tens on a Q-J-9 flop, whoops.

Then got moved to a Table with an obnoxious drunken sort - Jakally described him as AGAD.....

Grinded away, squeezed for England, & as I have such a nitty image, nobody ever called me.

188 runners, 18 got paid, but I busted 19th, hey-ho. I was thinking of waiting another orbit, by when the Bubble may have burst, but I decided to gamble, & in went my 2xBB. Reckless, or what?

A great day, played from 3pm until 1am, then had a meeting with Nick, who is Rob Yong's partner, to discuss some business.

Next Live Poker - Luton, next Sunday. All are welcome!

Tonight has been a total nightmare. Played 3 MTTs for combined playing time of about 30 minutes. I wont go through the bad beats and suck outs cos I know they happen to everyone but losing with KK three times gives a flavour (I folded one of them after the flopped A and massive reraise).

    Tuesday.

Exited VERY early in the Hold Em, trying to mop up chips, but I got mopped up myself.

Not much better in the Omaha, when I flopped a whopping draw & bet it hard, but my man - I think his name was Mr Limpet - refused to let go, so an embarrassing double early exit.

Spent the next hour or so Railing the Tables, huge fun, the TKO is a bit special. And we won......

Then Railed the TP-ers, before switching to "tikay1" & sitting down for a bit of relaxing Omaha cash before bed.

A Gentleman who I had not seen before arrived, with a most eccentric game. He clearly knew what he was doing, but was uber aggro & a super-Lag. He just kept his foot hard to the floor & bet everything, every street. So, how to catch him? Patience was the key,  after Passing again & again, I managed to ramp my £50 into £150. That'll do for now.

Just as I was about to leave, one of our regular, & most successful Omaha players arrived, & HE is ultra aggro, too. So I stayed to watch the fireworks.

Mr Newbie hit EVERYTHING & it was a bloodbath. I left 20 minutes later, when Mr Newbie had turned his last Pull-Up (he'd had three) into over £400!

    Welcome aboard, Sir!

Had a night away from online and played a live tournament in local casino, nice to go home from home again after playing so much online!! I love playing online and I am glad that I signed up to sky poker, for obvious reasons lol!! But I am glad when I have a break and go and play live tourney's now and again - I love the challenge and a big strength of my game is instinct and I love chatting at tables with the others players!! Therefore it was a relief to play tonight and an even bigger relief to win the tourney and win £1.5k so I am over the moon, but back to the Omaha tables next week i think - would love to improve my game further in that discipline - therefore merenovice and tikay - I can see you licking your lips at the prospect of denting my bankroll again lol!!

I had a pleasant evening on the Omaha Cash Tables, & in the 8pm Main, nothing spectacular, lost about £8 I think. Not bad for 4 houirs entertainment.

No poker for me tonight, as I'm doing the two Live Shows, & tomorrow, I'm probably going to play at Luton, in their £100 Freezeout jobbie, which is a nice & relaxing Sunday evening Comp.

    See you again on Monday.

Well I had a pretty poor start to the evening, but ended up in profit.

Firstly I entered the 7pm orfordable and got knocked out in the second hour due to my very bad play, secondly I entered the 8pm double stack, well that went down like a lead balloon, AK third hand in, flop comes A9K, I dumped in a big raise only to be re-raised, so I shoved all-in, villain shows KQ, J on the turn, 10 on the river, villain wins straight to the ace.

Thirdly I entered the 8.18 deepy which is one of my favourites, but sadly I was ousted in the second hour. Well that just left the £1500 Bounty Hunter which I had satellited into earlier. I had taken this one down just over a week ago so I was full of confidence. Not much happened in the first hour but I was still in (which is always a good thing) second hour after a slow start, I went on a run of pocket Pairs, seamed I was getting one every other hand so I put them to good use. Finally after a long hard slog and a little bit of luck I was on the final table. I finished Fourth - Result below
    4thPOKERTREV£93.20 + £44.88 Head Prizes+ 32 League Points
    Happy Days!!!!!!!!!!!

I finished about evens last night, played a bit of omaha 2p/4p and played terrible to be honest, lost first bi pretty quickly and most of my 2nd bi as well when I elft the table had got upto about £6 so onlylost a couple of quid.

Then went onto to play holdem 5p/10p table brought £20 to the table lost most of that pretty quick had 78 i think on a a78 flop the guy called with aj trun j river a.  I decided to quit the cash, I was playing bad and things just wanst going my way.

So i looked at the stt's and joined a £22 dym.  I knocked someone out pretty quickly, to nicely double up, and then knocked the 2nd person out so had a big chip lead and was sitting comftable.  The shorty was going all in everyhand and I ended up doubling him up twice but managed to get 2nd in the end and to win the money back I lost at cash.

Called it a night after that i'd only have gone to hgiher stakes and the way i was playing id have lost all my money.

In a skittles tournament tongiht at my local gonig pub at 6, I cant play when ive had a drink so if you see me online tonight do me a favour and tell me to go to bed (yeah right you'll take me for everytihng i got lol).

Just got brought back down to earth though in tonight's 5.5k B/H. My KK busted by 66!!! finishing 166th. You play solid poker for over an hour then the poker gods fall out with you big time!!

Decided to play just 1 tourny tonight, the 10:35 speed, because I've been running so bad. Got down to last 22 in 20th place with 20 to cash. Was getting it in well and didnt have to get lucky more than once or twice. Picked up JJ in SB and shoved when it folded round. BB called with KQ and Q came on the RIVER. It never ends. Still, I won the blog naming contest for James's blog so I've got free entry to the deepstack tomorrow.

How was it for me last night?

So bad, I can't remember it. But it was a bleurgh night, nothing went right, though I pulled a bit back in the 25-50 Omaha cash late on.

Tonight, it's TKO, followed by theTKO Party Tourney.

[  ] Easy night in prospect.

    A better night.

Ran quite deep in the weirdly structured TKO - I actualy LIKED that Format, just for a laugh - and barely won a hand in the TKO Party Tourney.

I then moved across to my own Account, & had half an hour of 25p-50p Omaha, & ran my Buy-In up from £50 to £85 without ever risking my stack or getting all-in. No flips, no gambling, just picked my spots on an aggro Table, played defensively, & let them bet into me. Very tired though, & gave best at 11pm & took an early night.

The TKO nights are extremely tiring, as you gotta do all the Posts & Threads, & then, whilst playing, get the player Spreadsheet Open, work out who is playing who, answer a zillion questions, & do the Live Update thread, which ran to 125 Posts in 2 hours last night.

A pleasing evening overall, made a small profit, & Team tikay gave itself a shot at winning the deciding Leg of TKO by getting a 1-2.

    A 1 - 2 - 4 if you don't mind lol

A good night as i have not been playing on Sky for a while. Came on to play the TKO (wouldn't miss that one) and cashed 4th for £25 - Then played the £4.40 £200 GTD and came 2nd in that for another £44 so the bankroll went from £0.15p (some odd amount i had left lying around in the account for some reason) to £69. Going to play the Sat into the main event tonight and see if my MTT form can hold. A decent cash in the OPEN and i wouldn't have to redeposit when i want to start playing again lol

TKO structure was fun, a fine art into timing blind changes to go DOWN when they hit you. By the end i just had to put the last of it in with 10 - 4 and donate to a fellow Tikayer (i think it was knackersya) as the blinds were 2/3rds of my stack lol - A Good Game and good fun though - Think we've done enough to take this series as well

Had an ok night, missed out on TKO this year because new to the site and forum etc, had no idea what it was until it was to late!! DOHx7 persuaded me to play the TKO After party, I felt like an imposter so decided to donk all my chips off holding 10 10 in the very first hand, because I obviously knew that the Villain had KK in his hand :O!! Played cash and made a steady profit in both Holdem and Omaha but what an experience it was playing against LAG's in Omaha - I was sat next to Tikay - and the action was non stop accross the table and i witnessed some nice big and juicy pots!! As Tikay commented, I also picked my spots in and waited for those hands that would get me paid off!!

Didnt play last night after the tko as was watching the wayne rooney show, had a few game sin the afternoon tho.

Won a couple of £10 hu tournys, out played myop first one he asked for rematch i gave it and got incredibly lucky in the 2nd, my A6 suited all in pre flop v his aq flop 66X.

Played a couple of mtt's and did real bad untill the £2.30 bounty hunter, which I think started @ 4.  Played solidly throughout untill the final table.  I was chip leader 6 left and 5 get paid, I looked down at qq put a big raise in 2nd shortest stack goes all in, I call he has kk and all of a sudden im short stacked.  I didnt bubble managed to get 5th for small money.  Never won a mtt here really thoguht that was gonig to be my first, would you guys of called?
