Good to see Mega Stack still in place tonight. Doubt it will hit the heady heights of last week, but hopefully will meet its guarantee and ensure survival for another week!
I've said it before but can the structure of the megastack please be looked at?
We're 2 hours in, and it goes from 500bb start stack to an average stack of 20bb by the 600/1200 level. Starts far too deep and then gets far too shallow, just a simple job of removing a couple of early levels and adding some later levels would make it flow so much better.

It did get very fast pretty soon. Presumably the appeal of having a mega stack is to play a more deep stacked game than normal, but this turns into a turbo relatively quickly.
Not just whining for the sake of it as I think Sky do a really great job with tournaments, but this one does seem odd. Some levels are missing?

Yeah, clearly needs a 250/500, 500/1000, 1250/2500 and 2500/5000 level. Then just remove 3 or 4 of the first 6/7 levels.
This is the first hour, just so easy to trim that and add those ^

Totally agree.
For a Mega Stack it does turn into a shove-fest too soon, though I'm just glad it's back.
In Response to Re: MTT changes & discussion thread : Appreciate that you are only the messenger. Have to say that, if sky cannot get 200 players in a Main, then that Main needs to be changed Posted by Essexphil
5k for a main event is shameful, the most annoying part is that tuesday is my second favourite day to play poker and I really like the iceman

It's a disappointment, yes, but if the players don't want to play it in sufficient numbers.......
Not sure we can just point the finger at Sky Poker.
It would have a bigger Guarantee if it were a BH, but then it'd be "oh, Sky Poker only run Bounty Hunters" & that would be followed by "what, no Freezeouts?".

I agree Sky do a great job and you cant blame them for reducing a guarantee if numbers arent met. I Just wish we could meet the numbers !

Starting tonight, the Tuesday Main Event is now (takes deep breath.....) Gold Rush, a £33 entry, £6,000 Guarantee, 10,0000 chip mega-stack Bounty Hunter with 7 minute blinds.
Got that?
The Mini, at 8.30, will follows the same logic, but will be £5.50 entry, & £2,000 Guarantee.
deepstack good blind levels good structure whats not to like good that the mini is same starting stack aswell james when u have the sunday major and mini why is sunday major 10k starting stack and mini major 5k stack can u do the same as tonight for sundays main and mini both start with 10 k starting stack ?
Not sure what the thoughts are on the mini, but would be good to have some of the later levels added to the main also included in the mini imo? from memory, turbo tuesday always got a bit too punty after the big jump from 800bb to 1200bb as average stacks are already getting v short by this point

Morning.
The Guarantee on tonight's Iceman has been reduced to £5,000, where it will remain until further notice.

Note, by the way, there is an £8,000 SUMNMIT at 9pm tonight.
